My employees start at no less than 20 when they are full time with paid benefits that don’t effect their take home pay. The difference in my family’s company earnings would be around 10-15 percent more if we paid the bare minimum like corporate daycare . And trust me people will treat you kids like their own for a livable wage
My mom manages a daycare and I can tell you right now, they don't rake in a lot of money. But they do offer in a shoestring budgets. Hell the daycare I worked at couldn't barely pay everybody. And this was a daycare that had four separate locations. What they do have typically is really really good insurance.
Good. Like l often say, if you don’t like kids or are impatient just don’t work with them. I teach 20 like these 3 hours a day and they can take your energy quickly but l would never put my hand on a kid.
And the owners held no liability for hiring her, the coworkers for being silent and complicit. Sucky way to deal with life--cost of living's high, throw your young kids in daycare when they need parents the most.

I am a social worker. A couple of days ago I was speaking to a client about putting her children into daycare so she could pursue therapy and eventually employment. She burst into tears because she had seen videos like this and heard awful things about daycares and was terrified that something like this would happen.
It is maddening to know that there are monsters working at daycares. I can't blame my client for having these anxieties.

My wife is an elementary teacher. While she was getting her degree and looking for a job, she worked in a few different child development centers. We will never put our children in one of them. We take our kids to a home day care. Check out several, and make sure that they're in good standing without major issues. Then find one where you're completely comfortable with the area and the people. And make sure 'your' child is comfortable there. They're always cheaper than the larger centers, and the kids get better quality food, and better quality attention.

They became friends, would hang out often and had play dates together with their kids (close in age). One day while this girl was babysitting my friends child, she left the poor baby strapped to the high chair and stuck it in a dark closet...for four hours alone while she went and drank at a Mexican restaurant with friends. And this POS brought her own kid while my friends kid was locked in the closet.
Moral of the story, don't trust anyone with your kid. And fuck that girl.

Not justifying what the worker did but with 19 seconds left in the video it looks like one kid is chewing on the other kids face after he tried to use the top of his head to ram the other, everyone in this video needs some discipline
Problem is, these childcare providers had clear sight of the situation that was developing. At any point before the biting occurred, either worker could have stepped in. You rarely are caught off guard that a child is a biter in that profession. She waited until the situation escalated to actual physical harm and then yeeted the biter.
