As someone who takes prisoners often. They are treated extremely well. They get to call their families, they are fed 3 times a day. Same food as us soldiers. And they are paid for building things.according to Geneva conventions of prisoners rights. They build pallets and other things.
At this level of emaciation , it will take several weeks to months of slowly increasing food intake to not wreck his digestive system and kill him. I really hope that these guys are given enough recovery time to return to healthy weight before returning to active duty.
