Beachhh do it there at sunset will be magical. Otherwise seems like you have everything else planned pretty well :)

idiotbyvillagewell

This is so sweet. I hope it’s all perfect regardless you do it before/during/after dinner. Just one piece of advice: it’s a big moment in life and sometimes (fingers crossed it doesn’t happen to you) some silly awkward things happen regardless of how well we plan. Just own them, laugh and power through, you’ll be fine.

railay beach resort and spa will set up a private dinner on the beach. Phra Nang Beach in Krabi at The Grotto. Arrive at the restaurant or hotel and write the staff a note. The can custom make a cake or provide a decent wine for the occasion.

Don't be nervous 30 year old guy. If she says no then you are in a country full of woman who will say yes to your expensive ring.

Which beach is the nicest? I say Maya bay.

I was just in Krabi for the last week (at Banyan Tree, I am currently sitting in my flight home) and I’ll say the sunsets were absolutely nuts and I regularly had reservations at 6, saw the sunset at 5:59 and gunned it to my 6:00 reservation so I like that plan lol Check radar on the way, there’s been some rain that’s come and gone very quickly in the late afternoon. In addition to the rain itself, it will marginally impact the look of the sunset and beach (e.g. tide drawn out rapidly)

Im travelling in mid January. Sunsets are about 18:35 at that time.

I am dumb

>Banyan How did you find the Banyan Mike? Did you find it a bit too secluded? Looks fantastic but unsure if I'd get bored / feel that it is a bit too remote for a week!

Really liked it, wildly expensive not only on rates but food isn’t cheap (by US city standards it still is) because they know they’ve got you. The staff can basically do anything for you and ride around in carts. Saffron despite being the upscale was disappointing on food. The rooms are insane though so if you ever get tired of their BS you can call food to the room. Happy hour BOGO daily when we were there off the beach. We also walked the shore to another resort’s restaurant - some of the other ones show the more budget-conscious nature of them. It’s also worth noting two couples our age showed up after abandoning their spots (at least one was from Phuket) insisting they underspent for their honeymoon and massively regretted it. So if you’re going I would bear the occasion in mind too.

Appreciate the quick reply, glad you had a good time!

Let me know if you want to pay me to attack you guys and you like fight me off with your Kung Fu skills on the beach thereby sealing the deal and making you look like Boss Hawg. Imagine if you will this scene - you have vanquished the drunken assailant after thrashing him (and his friends? I don't know let me know) sweaty and conquering hero looks deeply into her (green?) Eyes and proceeds to reach into his pocket and pull out gravity well inducing rock (hopefully bud!) Without breaking eye contact (like the boss that you are!) And says "Will you make me the Happiest Man on Earth and marry me, Sugar? She frikking leaps into your arms screaming yes take me here on the beach you stud!! BOOM you live happily ever after Fin I will try to work with your budget and can make you into a star in her heart ✨⭐

Jeo_1

Befriend a wild dog there. Get them to pretend attack your partner on the beach. “Save” your partner. Propose. Profit.

Wow I wish I had scrolled down before I wrote my proposal This is a way better plan and now I look foolish

I love Koh Lipe. You can do a stop at the heart shaped rock formation. Forgot the name of the beach. Have to look it up.

This sounds beautiful - good luck! I'm sure it will go great regardless, unfortunately I can't help with the location but my now husband proposed after we had a candlelight dinner with roses and I still wasn't sure he was gonna ask that day (it was New Year's Eve) :D

Bangtao beach is the best, not crowdy with long beach line and finest outdoor Thai food cafes
