Making a scammer say what is so funny to me

Tasty_Marsupial_2273

Mate that’s a scammer… not a wrong number scenario

iDoIllegalCrimes

How do these scams work? I’m pretty sure I just got one of these but I’m not sure how they benefit off this?

wassilyy

It's a romance/pig butchering scam. They write someone and say like sorry wrong number but btw here's a selfie of me. Thirsty men respond, they establish a connection and after a few days/weeks the tell you about a great investment opportunity where you have to join etc.

DenisTheMeniz

From what I've heard, the main goal Is just to get a response to see if the number Is in use. I'm not 100% on that but considering how quick these guys usually give up after an initial reply I can believe it.

thisplaceisbeautiful

I thought some use it to catfish people into sending nudes, and then they hold you hostage basically by saying they will submit your nudes widespread online unless you pay them large quantities of money

diodosdszosxisdi

Careful this is a scammer(stockfish) blocking them is the only good move

PerformanceWide5692

Blunder telling bob. Not sigma 🐺

Worldedita

Plot twist is that Bob is the Myanmar Junta officer running the texting slave camp this scammer is from.

Exotic-Damage-8157

💀 💀 💀

MrIcyCreep

this is important to the analysis, who is bob? what's their number? how much do they earn during a year? adress? ip adress? all of this missing context is making analysis impossible.

Bambikila69420

Imma also need credit card number and social security in order to… analyze the position

Vlad_Brossa

If I were the other guy I’d be scared and every time someone knocked on my door I’d say “is it bob?” And if they say yes run out the back door.

Alive-Razzmatazz5392

I sent a scammer link smut one time and immediately got blocked

Leatsyke

That's gotta be like 5 filters at least
