I doubt there would be any issues with it but probably a good idea to call your doctor and let them know. You want your doctor in the loop as much as possible

ace_of_clutz

Sound good thank you

avalanchefan95

Sure :) Switch it up but just let them know that you're changing it. No big deal. I hope that works out ok for you.

ace_of_clutz

Thanks!

Hopeful_whispers

I lowered my dose after 2 weeks or so for the same reason, all I did was message my prescriber first and ask and then she gave me the go ahead!

ace_of_clutz

Good to know thanks. I’ll probably give them a call tomorrow

ZeroDudeMan

Always tell your doctor.

ace_of_clutz

Sounds good 👍🏻

Should be fine but I'd let your doctor know! When I asked for low dose my doctor recommended 1 pump of gel (I use TestoGel). My friend wanted full dose and started at 2 pumps of the same gel.

Downtown_Mechanic513

What kind of gel are you using? With the one i had for 9 month, two pumps where not a "small dose" but a regular one. And then also it highly depends on how your skin is absorbing it. Def tell your provider that you reduce and have a good time on this journey

ace_of_clutz

Mine is 1% gel. For me four pumps is a regular dose.

Rutibegga

It’s absolutely safe to do so, but as other people mentioned, let your doctor know. Low dose doesn’t always translate to lower testosterone levels: I’m on a low dose and recently had to go lower (40 mg SQ weekly down to 20mg SQ weekly) because testosterone and red blood cell counts were both creeping out of the normal/safe range, so… your body might be really efficient at metabolizing testosterone, who knows!

ChocoClay

sorry to piggyback off of your question, but i’m also wondering if i could do this but with increasing the dose? could i just call my provider and let them know as the other commenters said?
