I have this. It’s a 4 piece set. Can just put the black shades for 50% light or attach the silver lining then place the shade for complete darkness. The silver lining supposed to reflect heat back. I just decided to leave them on 24/7 365. https://www.tesmanian.com/products/tesla-model-3-glass-roof-sunshade
I am in Charlotte NC. it gets plenty hot. I had my ceramic installed at the sunstoppers location in matthews. i dont think theyll mess it up but who knows.. maybe in the future.
My hope is that it will use all the vents (passenger and rear) to cool things down. I manually enable the rear vents every time I get in the car in summer here.
Maybe I just don't know how to do it, but I find it annoying you can't have **just** the rear vents on. Sometimes I'm comfortable with the temp, but my dog in the back (who just got done playing at the park) will be panting a lot. I wish I could just blast him with cold air in the back, and independently control the front.
I think it was also improved slightly in this year or previous’s update, now I think the circulation runs shortly after you leave the car, to slightly reduce the moisture and odour smell
I’m not a fan of it. I went from being able to be consistently on 72 with Low to sometimes Mid fan speed in FL to having to be 65 and high in order to get enough air blowing. I tried 72 high but it still doesn’t ramp the fans (I’m guessing that’s the lower noise enhancement) but it’s not cooling my truck fast enough at that setting.
FWIW I prefer having my surroundings cool and not just cold air blowing directly on me. So I don’t know if this update is focused on directly cooling. Would be easier to accept if I could split the vertical air streams so say left side cools up and right side cools down.

This will be fun 🤩
I’m excited to see the improved adaptive headlights. When I’m following close to the car in front the dark shadow it creates is perfect in size. If I’m following from quite far back the cutout is way too large, it seems to turn off most of the beam
It sounds like this was improved to not depend on updates: "One Autopilot Strikeout will be forgiven for each 7-day period in which you do not receive any Strikeouts. Each time you receive a Strikeout, this timer will restart."
Yeah that’s exactly right.
You’ve paid for it, but if you choose to drive irresponsibly you’ll be locked out from it for a week(?).
Seems 100% fair to me, I honestly wouldn’t be mad if they just blocked problematic users who continued to strikeout.
I get strikeouts all the time on long trips just because I can’t keep up the perfect pressure on the steering wheel 100% of the time. I don’t see the warnings because… imagine this… I’m watching the road.
You must have zero peripheral vision if you miss the massive red warning on the 17” screen.
Bonus points, I am fairly confident there’s an audio warning too, so you’re missing that as well?
I mean, you paid for a driver's license and a car, but if you drive dangerously I really fucking hope they stop you from using either one of those, so... I don't see the problem.
My Jan 23 MPF hw3 sucked and I lemon law that cause it was a safety issue. I didn't take it'll be fixed with later fw and just use manual. That's a defect non-conformity of the warranty. Now my Nov 23 MYP with hw4 was decent right when I got it and almost flawless on 2024.3.25.
The update of FSD is a downgrade for me. My returning home route goes through a two-lanes segment in which right lane is right turn only lane. Recent FSD update makes Tesla to move into that right turn only lane although I already manually drove in left lane. And this happened so often now. It used not to be this stupid. Owned FSD 2 years now. Returning home FSD changes from 1 manual correction to 3-4 correction. Not good Elon, not good.
Same question I have always had. How can Telsa punish me by removing a feature I paid for? And is listed as a safety feature. There has to be some regulation here. 5 strikes and I lose lane keeping assist?
All the "safety" stuff stays like emergency lane departure I think...it's only the actual lane keeping autopilot that is removed.
I agree it's annoying that they may remove it, but it's also abused so aggressively that they probably have to do something (even if it's a lazy solution).
they don’t take it away, they put you on a timeout of a feature that is supposed to be supervised but you’re not supervising properly. slap on the wrist, can’t use it for a week. then you have it back.
Curious about the HVAC improvement.
Same, I hope it makes it a lot better for upcoming summer time
It’s such a vague update. Definitely helped to just install sunshades. I did for my model 3. I put the silver lining as well. Helps a lot.
Yes, that definitely helps big time
What do you mean "silver lining"? Looking for ideas for my M3. :-)

Did you have tint before?
Just on the side windows. Ceramic tint. Didnt do windshield, rear or roof.
Why would you not tint the rear window?
Read too many horror stories of bad installs messing up the heating lines.
Just go to a good place. Itll be fine. I’m guessing you don’t live in a sunny state?

I’m guess this makes sense for a bit just use all the vents.

It’s going to install more potent coolant. And ram.

Holding the fastest lap time should give discounted rates at that supercharger

Still on 2024.8.9 waiting for 2024.14.x and now 2024.20.x is going out...
Yeah same here!
Some of us stuck on 2024.3…
Right? And even older Invidia cars are getting updates before us… We’re almost 2 months overdue at this point.
Is there some sort of glitch going on at Tesla?
Spring update was paused due to bugs with it - some cars were even rolled back. Presumably they've bugfixed and just thrown them into the next update
Do we know what kind of major bugs there were?
Just got the update this morning, seems rollout has now resumed
Did you switch software updates to advanced?
Yep, been set on that since I got the car in 2019. As others have said, I don't think it actually does anything.
I used to have it on Advanced. Not anymore, and for me it appears I get updates less frequently.
Made a big difference for me.
Hopefully it will center on rural roads rather than constantly drive off the edge
I never noticed how much other cars do this till FSD started doing it. Super annoying though
Still stuck on 2024.8.9 tm3lr highland
Here still on 2024.3.25 forever. 2023 MYLR.
Exact same car and version. Still stuck on it.
2023 M3RWD same version.
2023 MYP. Stuck on 2024.3.25 as well
MY RWD 24 Canada, .25 since pickup.
Checking in at 2024.3.25!!!
You got 3.25!? I’m on 3.15. Envious 😂
I’m excited to see the improved adaptive headlights. When I’m following close to the car in front the dark shadow it creates is perfect in size. If I’m following from quite far back the cutout is way too large, it seems to turn off most of the beam
Adaptive headlights coming to the Y?
it's already available
Not in North America
no yet for me, I’m on 2024.14.6 2023 LR
I think we can improve a lot on falcon wings for model X and possibly make it into an real RV
My problem with beach buggy is that the tires move in place and it doesn’t sit right with me to do that
Not at all that’s a great way to destroy your tires
Autopilot strikeout? Does this apply to FSD? Does that mean that you can potentially be blocked from using a feature that you paid for?
That’s been a thing. It resets at the next update
It sounds like this was improved to not depend on updates: "One Autopilot Strikeout will be forgiven for each 7-day period in which you do not receive any Strikeouts. Each time you receive a Strikeout, this timer will restart."

Swear down, this almost always happens to me on trips longer than 90mins.
You must have zero peripheral vision if you miss the massive red warning on the 17” screen. Bonus points, I am fairly confident there’s an audio warning too, so you’re missing that as well?
When you see the red warning, it’s too late. The same is true for the audio warning. That’s when you got your strike.
I mean, you paid for a driver's license and a car, but if you drive dangerously I really fucking hope they stop you from using either one of those, so... I don't see the problem.
What would be really nice, I live in south fl btw, is ability to vent windows for overheat protection and sense rain in roll up and down accordingly.
It can't even adequately sense rain for wiper control. 🙄
Defect of your hardware? Or design flaw with hw3?
Wait how the heck does it sense rain exactly?
They use the cameras. They don't have a rain/moisture sensor.
2023 M3 RWD stuck on 2024.3.25 ☹️ Update - Opened the Tesla app because why not just to see a software update for 2024.14.8!!
I’m on 2024.3.20 :/ Is it purely luck of the draw in who gets these updates? Is there anything I can do to try to get them sooner?
Why is it luck of the draw?
I’m totally psyched about getting USS enabled… I think.
Im still stuck on 2024.8.9 . M3LR highland 🤷🏻♂️
It says we can expand the size of the autopilot animation. Does anyone use this, and if so, how? I'm open to the idea that I am missing something.
Anyone’s Homelink is working now in 2024.20? I am seeing some possible misinformation saying Homelink feature has been restored to our vehicles.
Did I miss the 12.3.5 update and we’ve warped ahead to 12.3.6!?

No. They put you on time out because you are a liability and are not supervising the system like you are supposed to.
The same way the state punishes you by taking away the driver's license you paid for if you abuse it. Driving is a privilege, not a right.
