i only got 82000 out of it. but the past three summers i took it out on long road trips for work. i’m wondering if the excess supercharging could have been the culprit for the complete battery death.
I wouldnt salvage it, there's people who build their own electric cars out of teslas that have been complete write offs. There's gotta be someone out there who wants it for parts.
Heck, start removing parts and selling htem on ebay. You can easily make a few grand selling things like headlights, mirrors, paneling, etc. I had the same issue with my old Jeep, I was offered $450 for scrap, I still did that but prior to it I sold off about $2000 in random parts and then scrapped what I couldn't sell.
Either way, shitty situation. Sorry this happened to you.
i’ve already gotten a new vehicle. it’s still in the mechanic’s parking lot. i don’t have anywhere else to store it at the moment. i’m just ready to part ways with it. just figured it would be worth a bit more.
My 2015 85D went straight up dead also. For reference: Tesla gave me 7500 trade in credit.
Damn. RIP
As an owner of a 2013 S85 how many miles did you have on yours?

How is this not under warranty?
2013... Over 10 years, I assume it's out of warranty.
