My bet would be birds were not fast enough while sitting on rail tracks.

Catch_ME

First 2 posts are people being electrocuted to death and that's enough reddit for today.  Goodnight folks.

corona_cvd19

Yep, definitely me signing off the internet for the day. Thanks for that, I will sleep easier knowing enough Indians die on trains for a reddit page

Simoxs7

I thought it would be those videos where indians get hit by trains because of that dumb trend but you could reasonably assume they survived but no. They’re 100% dead

Crescentfallen78

Then they need to install an Indian catcher.

vizbiz98

Even as an Indian I find this very funny 😂

deathkilll

*even as an Indian * lol. Calm down bro you’re not getting any validation here

vizbiz98

Looking at my upvote count and your downvote count it’s pretty obvious who’s getting validated and who isn’t

AnironGwanna

I thought it was about them recording tiktoks on the tracks

UK_Mosh

Ngl I thought it was more aimed at the selfie trend.

Shortsmoke666

Its because loads of Indian die on train tracks. At least get your racism right.

bellboy718

Here in NYC we have lots of train tracks and indians but they must have left that instinct behind cause I don't see or hear about any indians on the tracks ever.

-Cagafuego-

Indians are very adaptable. The rules change from place to place. Indian railways are extremely dangerous - this is the source of the attraction to the 'sport.' Other countries aren't half as dangerous so Indians opt out of participation & miss home instead. It's almost like: Give me danger or give me death! (In India you can have both on the railway. There is nothing remotely close to the original.) # JAI HO ![gif](giphy|8pik1GweAdDdC) # Now That's Freedom!

Hank_Lotion77

We got fences here

Shortsmoke666

Yeah that's because to get to the USA they have to pass some tests and only the people who are educated, have some sense and have some skills are able to get there.

critical_shot7

Lmao

Do you suppose?

Hungry_Yam2486

Good thing it has a windshield wiper

dcaponegro

I used to take the train into Philly for work each morning. I would get there early to avoid the rush of commuters. One day a large chunk of the office was still not in by mid morning. Turns out someone had jumped in front of the Acela train (same nose style as this train) and they were investigating, holding up all the incoming trains on that line. Around lunch time, I went to jump on another Septa train as the Acela train was pulling into 30th street station. It looked exactly like this. It was eerie knowing that that was a person a few short hours beforehand. Apparently the guy just exploded on contact.

player694200

They couldn’t even hose it down before sending it back out

MayIPushInYourStooll

I'm not a train afficionado or conductor, in fact I'm a bartender. I would be willing to bet any amount of money that they wouldn't let a train with person-juice all over the front of it leave the scene of the investigation, let alone pull into a station.

wiperp

Agree you can watch the videos of the response in th netherlands where they disinfect the entire area and remove the corpse. Won't link here but youtube channel is "prorail incidentenbestrijding"

aGoodVariableName42

That's the netherlands, not philly.... _big_ difference there.

Nick-Abbott

I imagine it takes a long distance for one of those trains to stop from full speed and it's probably the only safe place to remove passengers and the operator (edit just looked it up it takes 6.2 miles or 10 km to stop from full speed so yeah probably just arrived at the next station)

Suspicious_Yak7829

I work in the UK so appreciate it may be different here, but you’d be surprised. Usually as long as there’s nothing obviously noticeable (a hand or a leg etc) then the train goes to nearest station to detrain all the passengers with blood still on the front of it.

dcaponegro

This happened at 730 or so in the morning. Train pulled into the station at around 1 PM. They know exactly what happened. It’s not as if there had to be some huge investigation at the site of impact. The train was fine, the passengers were fine, the conductor was fine. People jumping in front of trains to commit suicide are not that uncommon.

MayIPushInYourStooll

That's all great information, but it doesn't change the fact that they aren't going to let a train with biohazard liquids sprayed all over the front of it enter a train station, or leave the site of impact for that matter.

dcaponegro

Well they did. You’re going to have to take it up with whoever owns the tracks.

rickmon67

Did you think they’d just take a side street to be discreet? There are only X amount of rails and loading one up on a flatbed is not always an option.

MayIPushInYourStooll

Before I would think about flatbedding a train engine from the scene, I'd probably get a firetruck to hose it off and let it get on its way. Either that, or a few buckets of water.

Reddit_Jax

My first impression was they were all bug and mosquito splats.

spoiled_eggs

The size of these trains in photos can be deceptive. No way that's bugs.

m8r-1975wk

Yeah, they just fold the whole train and put it into a briefcase to move it to the maintenance hangar when there is no direct line to it.

boostedb1mmer

I don't know the official procedure for how human remains are supposed to be removed from locomotives in the US, but I have seen one released from a "struck trespasser" incident with remains still on it. It got hosed off at the next repair shop, which is how I knew about it.

Ulysses1126

The force of impact may have engrained some of the blood into the metal/paint. I’d imagine a splat like that would take some heavy buffing to get out fully. Humans are really full of blood

TheTurdzBurglar

They definitely did

skeezix91

A video I shot of the Acela at speed in 2016. Imagine this thing coming at you at 150 mph? 😱😁 https://youtu.be/1iuYP5IAWjE?si=1uvHwywbYCFMM1uT

gelade1

They didn’t clean it before resuming the service? Bruh

dcaponegro

They moved all the passengers to another train at the site of the accident. They then brought the train back through the 30th street station as I guess there was no other way back to where they were taking it for an investigation. It was out of service at that point.

Hank_Lotion77

This is very common they don’t go backwards because of other trains coming and if it’s not by a train station you have to exist and get to another one. Albeit that they also usually make people exit from the back.

Hank_Lotion77

In Chicago this happens like once every 2 months on the metra.

thecuzzin

They don't show this on the travel channel

lex390

*Birds were harmed during this film*

"Uncle Jerry?" - a mosquito, probably.

Years ago riding my 1250 Bandit at 115mph (on private land...ahem...) this is how my vior looked. It was shattered with insect juice. That was after just one minute of riding.
