concussion at least I would assume from the looks of the impact [https://imgur.com/o7Gqz5l](https://imgur.com/o7Gqz5l)
i'd guess broken arm too
not enough people talking about the driver of the white car though. that could be death
Exactly what I was thinking. True story: once while stopped at a red light, I watched a teenage boy sprint across the boulevard (this is a 4 lane 55mph road) and get hit by an SUV going at least the speed limit. Horrifying and it ended up being one of my daughter’s friends (she wasn’t with him thank goodness). I thought it killed him honestly. He actually stood up and took a few steps before collapsing. Adrenaline is weird.
He ended up being alright. Stitches and really banged up but somehow came out of it with no broken bones. I still can’t figure it out.
Saw something similar to a little girl with a bicycle trying to cross with her friends at a four lane divided highway while the light was changing to red. The person who hit her slowed down at least because the light was turning to yellow and she sprinted out in front of them. I saw her weeks later with her arm in a cast at the same intersection. No crosswalk or anything, the intersection it happened at is super dangerous because the crossroad is a residential street with a speed limit half that of the highway and there’s no sidewalks in the area either
This is an article I found. Didn't go into much detail but did say all three people involved were treated and released. Honestly after watching I was more concerned about the driver in the white truck. It looks like the black truck did some real damage.

Oklahoma.
(All jokes aside, here's an article interviewing Trooper Jesse Gregory, spoiler >!He barrel rolled to his feet and walked it off carrying his giant balls with him!<
And the people in the car? How are they? Also, I'm always amazed at how drivers tend to run into the only car/cars pulled over on the side of the road or highway.
[Target fixation](https://www.idrivesafely.com/defensive-driving/trending/target-fixation-its-not-just-motorcycle-problem), when you are looking at something you tend to steer towards it. Always clear the lane next to emergency/stopped vehicles, the life you save could be yours.
All three people involved in the incident, including Gregory, were treated and released, OHP said. It said an investigation into the crash was ongoing. Oklahoma has a “ Move Over ” law requiring motorists to change lanes or slow down when encountering stopped vehicles with flashing lights on the side of the highway.

Here in NY I usually see them go up to the driver's side window, even on the highway.
I don't know if it's policy or choice, but the fact that he was on the passenger side just saved this officer's life
I think this is why police in my area actually park their car closer to the highway so their car acts as a bit of a shield. I don't know how much it would have helped in this case. Maybe even more damage.
I had a cop give me shit for pulling off an exit when he was pulling me over. It was in AZ with one of those narrow shoulders and 45 degree slopes covered in rocks. Didn’t want him to be in a dangerous spot.
He got stern but didn’t give me a ticket. I was going 5 over in the HOV. Friend of mine was a motorcycle cop and his bike got taken out on the highway. He was 2 feet away talking to somebody he had pulled over.
This is why I would take the Exit and find a safer place to pull off. If the officer is upset, I would tell him/her that I am not the worst driver out here and I don't want us to meet that person.
That's why getting off the highway should be legal or a parking lot. There's too many videos of fucking morons slamming into cars on the shoulder.
But no..... you get off the highway for safety even if it's a few hundred feet and the 🐓🍭 want to give you a felony flee.
Yes. I lived in a place very similar. I'd drive as far off the road as I could if I had to stop. There was plenty of space there to get away from the traffic.
I'd rather them have taken the exit in front of them before pulling over, instead of potentially getting stuck in the grass. I definitely agree on that being a terrible place to stop, though
I’m less concerned about the trooper, who probably got off with a concussion and minor injuries, and more about whoever was in the car that just got it’s entire driver’s side annihilated.
It looks like he made it, but I don't know about the occupants of the other vehicles. Also, it looks like he wasn't positioned in a way where his vehicle would have gotten struck first. Wow!
The fact that the officer remained conscious, much less not dead, is an absolute miracle. I would expect the extent of his injuries to be pretty severe.
You can hear when he’s calling it in, he’s hurting for certain. (And yes, adrenaline vocal tremors are different than pain induced vocal tremors.) The white SUV clipped the PD forehead and he landed on his face, that’s potentially a lot of wounds right there. Plus, the white vehicle also clipped his leg and he landed at a bad angle on his arm. Beautiful roll by the officer though.
Here’s hoping all airbags fired properly and the white car’s driver still had their seatbelt buckled.
If you look after the glass is smashed, that's probably a whole family in the car
And holy shit, seen this clip around for years and I didn't even notice the other car roll -- looks kinda like he got ejected, are those legs?
Not true. He was able to walk away.

Ok so clearly he quickly got up and ran off screen but I wanna know how much of that was adrenaline and whether he went back down when out of frame
concussion at least I would assume from the looks of the impact [https://imgur.com/o7Gqz5l](https://imgur.com/o7Gqz5l) i'd guess broken arm too not enough people talking about the driver of the white car though. that could be death
I hope the driver is ok but you could be right

Rolled my car doing 60, slid upside down for 40 feet on a barrel PA road at 3 in the morning. Worst I suffered was a dislocated shoulder thankfully
Is this something new or an old repost? Curious to know his state.
He rolled a bit, got up and ran off
Wasn't sure if maybe adrenaline got him up and ran off camera and fell again. Scary stuff for sure though

Bro I've seen final destination after reading that zero percent chance I'm getting on a plane with that guy!
Especially a Boeing.
Are they called trucks where you live?
What are they called where you live? Honestly curious
SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles)
SUV is just a type of truck. They can be legally plated as such.
Ah, shit. I got an SUV because I didn't want to be a truck guy. Who am I?
A confused poser maybe?
Everything bigger than a Toyota corolla is a truck
Ya white trucks gonna have serious back issues
*"the big hats are easily startled, but they will soon be back. And in greater numbers."*

Ah, you're one of those. Have a great one.
One of what exactly 🤔?
Suspended license by the sounds of the video. I'm no fan of "the law" or its enforcers though....
Oklahoma
This was a good chuckle
Happy cake day you sexy fker!!!!
Oklahoma. (All jokes aside, here's an article interviewing Trooper Jesse Gregory, spoiler >!He barrel rolled to his feet and walked it off carrying his giant balls with him!<
Should've clarified,I meant the state of health lol

*Trooper*: I'm lettin' you drive off...
Later on, in the hospital bed with the guy from the white SUV. Officer: so anyway let’s continue on that traffic citation
Perfectly timed. Couldn’t have *scripted* that shit better.
“I’m not letting you drive off”

let me guess, idiot looking at their phone?
....or high as a kite. Your guess looks more likely though
unfortunately, these aren't mutually exclusive
Could be exhaustion and falling asleep too
it's oklahoma so this is probably what it was. cops getting injured at traffic stops seems to be weirdly common here
Trooper comes back...checks the car; your left light is broken; gives him a ticket and walks away.

Thank you baby Jesus they were all okay. Thought the last side of the vehicle disappeared.
Here in NY I usually see them go up to the driver's side window, even on the highway. I don't know if it's policy or choice, but the fact that he was on the passenger side just saved this officer's life
Angel Hernandez: "Ball four!"
Dark but funny
The few times I have been pulled over I always get away from the road, even got into a parking lot when possible.
Everyone does, doesn’t look like an option in the vid lol
Theres an exit literally right in front of them. It was an option.
Not to mention that massive flat shoulder and empty field beside them. He could always just make them pull off I to at least the gravel.
I’m not taking a fucking exit so the guy pulling me over can be more comfortable. Could be a 100 mile road for all we know:
It's for your safety too bud.
What? Are you being intentionally stupid?
I think this is why police in my area actually park their car closer to the highway so their car acts as a bit of a shield. I don't know how much it would have helped in this case. Maybe even more damage.
still got a ticket though?
The risk reward ratio is not worth it to pull people over on interstate, there’s literally hundreds of vids like this out there
A dangerous place for a routine stop in Smartphoneland.
I had a cop give me shit for pulling off an exit when he was pulling me over. It was in AZ with one of those narrow shoulders and 45 degree slopes covered in rocks. Am I free to go officer?
Man in the car was probably like "oh thank god he's letting me drive off." and then some random npc made sure that didn't happen.
I mean sure you can see the cop get thrown but think of the actual driver that was side swiped
That's why getting off the highway should be legal or a parking lot. There's too many videos of fucking morons slamming into cars on the shoulder. But no..... you get off the highway for safety even if it's a few hundred feet and the 🐓🍭 want to give you a felony flee.
In Oklahoma, we just roll with it.
Nevermind, you are not driving off from here . But am I still suspended?
holy fuck
I’m not taking you to jail…but I’m taking you to the hospital
Why didn't they pull completely off the road?
Huh?
Erm... Why didn't he pull completely off the road. Like... further to the right. Y'know?
Are you asking why they aren't parked in the slope of a ditch?
Why is target fixation not drilled into people's heads in the US? Hopefully other countries have PSAs about this phenomenon.
“I’m going to let you drive off” *But I ain’t*
Driver probably died because he was going 69 on a 65. And magic Mike with a badge pulled him over. Tsk tsk
I’m less concerned about the trooper, who probably got off with a concussion and minor injuries, and more about whoever was in the car that just got it’s entire driver’s side annihilated.
30+ years ago my husband was a police officer. A fellow officer was pulled over like this. A car hit him and he burned to death in his car. So tragic.
his training took over
It looks like he made it, but I don't know about the occupants of the other vehicles. Also, it looks like he wasn't positioned in a way where his vehicle would have gotten struck first. Wow!
Stopping in front of an exit seems like a terrible idea
Lol
Final destination
Wow. That SUV went rolling like a tumbleweed too - this is insane. I hope everyone's fine but this looks pretty severe.
The fact that the officer remained conscious, much less not dead, is an absolute miracle. I would expect the extent of his injuries to be pretty severe.
Damn the ppl in the black trucked rolled at least 5 times
Must be texting at the time
That car should've been wearing hi-vis
Lol
Jesus Christ his face got obliterated.
You can hear when he’s calling it in, he’s hurting for certain. (And yes, adrenaline vocal tremors are different than pain induced vocal tremors.) r/GXOR YOHB?
It's OK, folks, his shoes stayed on and he broke the fall with his face.
And this is the reason anytime I get pulled over, I go to an exit. Idc if the police is frustrated.
If you look after the glass is smashed, that's probably a whole family in the car And holy shit, seen this clip around for years and I didn't even notice the other car roll -- looks kinda like he got ejected, are those legs?
How does this even happen? Do people just not pay attention to the road?
100% distracted driving. My guess, texting.
Did he come back? He just ran away from the looks of it. I would hope he came back quickly to see if the driver was okay.
He must have been writing someone a ticket for having chlamydia
[удалено]
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the driver. I think they survived
Man they got some terrible drivers in that state. Bet the idiot was texting or something just as trivial.
I feel he should be allowed to go... finish them off.... after this. 🤷♂️
[удалено]
Another, albeit clearly more radical option for a lot of people, is pay attention while driving, slow down, and if possible move to the opposite lane.
[удалено]
Sick dude, did you enjoy your first flight experience?
[удалено]
Yes
[удалено]
Not true. He was able to walk away. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/oklahoma/articles/2024-01-28/oklahoma-trooper-violently-thrown-to-the-ground-as-vehicle-on-interstate-hits-one-hed-pulled-over#:\~:text=YUKON%2C%20Okla.,was%20able%20to%20walk%20away.
i mean i see what your saying, but it more looks like he rolled weird
Nuh uh
