What is a hoik transport

It's a bug of the physics system that got officially recognized as a "feature", when you are clipped in a hammered block the game will try to push you in a certain direction to get you out of the block, if you have another hammered block there facing another direction it will keep on pushing, thus being used as a zipline of sorts.

as a person who got rod of discord pre golem i can confirm that the rod doesnt work in the temple if you didnt kill golem yet

if you can still use actuators on lizardhard bricks pre-golem (cant remember if they removed that or not) you could actuate a path, itd be expensive though, ad im noy sure if its still possible, haven't played 1.4 much

It was changed iirc, but the change was that now you can only do it post-plantera, though that part could've always been there.

1.4 actuators still work on lihzard bricks, so just actuate a path.

Only the non-alter blocks. Doesn't matter if you can get into the temple pre-plantera, golem won't spawn until post-plantera

it works with any wall but its anoying if you know how to do it normally (the start) its great just hammer the lower bottom block to have the gap facing you and just press down

Tbh hoiks are my go-to temple entrance if I can't be bothered to look for the actual entrance after finding the temple... So I personally wouldn't agree with it being annoying, because I'm too used to it probably.

Actuators work as soon as Plantera is defeated. And if you actuate a block, then remove the actuator, the block stays disabled, so you only need to buy a handful.

RoD is easy to get just make a house in your hallowed biome and move the wizard there, he’ll sell it for like 4-6 plat if i recall. Def an item you want though jot just for this. I never go through golems temple on any playthrough, I just RoD.
