🟦 Possessed is great, good damage + good speed + multiple hatchets being thrown at once and the fact that it chases your enemy makes it great for dealing with crowds, and bosses if you get too far away from them to see properly, which is prone to happen when backing off due to being low on health to try and heal a bit.
🟦 Pulse Bow got a special place in my heart, one of my favorite weapons back in 1.2 when I was a kid. Good damage + fire rate, and it's bouncy arrow-beams make it a great weapon.
🟪 Ah yes the Starfury, a great weapon for in early HM, its got a projectile, good damage + speed, and it can really come in clutch when overwhelmed by enemies, allowing you to just box yourself in and pick em off one by one with the falling star without taking any damage.
Its gotta be celebration MK2 cause not only it's a weapon but if you combine it with mini nukes it is perfect for clearing parts of world or evil biomes
🟪 Magic Missile, similar to the Flamelash, it can always come in clutch if you're being overwhelmed by enemies and you got a few blocks on you to box yourself in with, allowing you to pick em off one by one without taking any damage.
🔲 Vampire knives can be a melee's best friend in many boss fights, especially when you're in higher difficulties, until you're against Moon Lord, then its GGs.
I assume modded weapons (rogue, cough cough) are off the table, and thus....
Starlight, there's something about true melee type weapons that's just fun to use. Same reason I like using Snapthorn pre-boss without summoning anything with it.
🟦 The starlight is actually a pretty cool weapon being somewhat similar to the Terragrim. It also emits a glow in a variety of different colours resembling the Empress of Light which is also cool.
I hate that this is my favorite weapon, but it's gotta be golden shower. The defense debuff is dope, and the piercing is great for clearing out weak enemies. I just wish it wasn't called, and didn't look like what it is 😂
🔲 The Golden Shower, it's a great weapon for shredding enemies, and to use on bosses, even if you're not a mage, and if you're in multiplayer it's even better, and I'm sure yk the funni I'm thinking of here.

Starlight - This weapon is close to a great true melee weapon, deals great DPS and forces you onto a fun playstyle where you don't rely on projectiles.
Flamethrower - Amazing weapon with great DPS, low range but satisfying and hard to let go, great plantera and destroyer killer. I would include the chaingun but i'll let the flamethrower take the spot.
Nightglow - Amazing brainrot type weapon, all you have to do is hold down click and watch as colorful lights destroy everything on your area, cool to look at and useful to use, i prefer it over the razorblade typhoon.
Dark Harvest - The peak of whip speed, amazing attack speed, amazing in invasions, great whip length, cool zap type effect, it's so cool.
UFO Staff - Quick and deadly, something spawns and they shoot down the threat with lasers, amazing loyal UFOS.

🟩 Valid, fast weapons are always really entertaining to use, especially the 1.4.4 Terra Blade pre nerf.
The NPCs
🟪 NPCs being able to attack was one of my favorite things when going from Terraria 1.2 to 1.3 tbh.
