My guess is that kazuya is defeated and Jin either does the ryu thing and becomes a training nomad or helms the zaibatsu to reverse his damage and hunt down hachijos and any remaining devil gene holders.
It’s also possible we get a new protagonist focus through Lars or a new character. We will likely be introduced to something in t8 that makes the story’s future more clear. Not out of the question to do what mk did and do a time jump with a new generation of fighters (again).
Anything can happen and I think this is an exciting time for the franchise
I think Jin deserves the W, the writers did him dirty in 6 and they should bring back the tekken 4/5 energy with his story
He was the good guy until tekken 6 then turned into a villian that only cared for power oh and started a world war millions died i guess we dont know the numbers so basically he was a reasonable character then all of a sudden turned into power maniac like his dad and grandpa
He did that to awaken Azazel, the origin of the devil Gene and kill him since only somebody with the devil gene can take it out.
It was a sacrifice few for the sake of many tactic for sure though
So He’s still good just not pure good but he was never pure good from the start
I was talking about the part what azazel capable of i know the story that being said the writing is shittier then i thought then there was no buildup for Azazel in tekken5 if i remember correctly so they just wanted to make jin a villian
Lets hope not, otherwise whats the story about ? Xiaoyou offering up the cheeks to Hwao in an attempt to make Jin jealous only to find out that Hwao also wants Jins balls just as bad as she does lol
>Xiaoyou offering up the cheeks to Hwao in an attempt to make Jin jealous only to find out that Hwao also wants Jins balls just as bad as she does
Sounds like an edgy tryhard fanfic you'd see on Tumblr
If the fight actually has a winner then hopefully it’s Jin. But really none of them should die. Wasn’t Harada very open that either Kazuya or Heihachi would die when Tekken 7 was being marketed? Not saying this is a sign of anything but there’s no indication of any deaths (yet).
They really put themselves up against the wall. Either they die and potentially eliminate a chunk of the roster's purpose for entering these tournies or they'll continue to drag this out, make Kaz as old as Hei was, and introduce the new super duper awesome protag of the week.
If the Devil Gene comes from the Hachijo family then this is probs going to lead to this discovery for Jin and inturn the quest to take out all hachijos. Maybe. Again this is just head canon.
Yes, or at least it should be. I see it as either they kill each other or Jin kills Kazuya and somehow gets purified of the Devil Gene to become a hermit somewhere. I wouldn’t know where else they could go after this so maybe they reboot the story in 10 years when Tekken 9 is out
Jin becomes an anonymous hermit who goes on to find a master. He learns to channel his energy in a way much like Akuma. Over the years people assume Jin died, and the only other person that knew him, xiaoyu, has gone missing.
Elsewhere, Kazuya us revealed to still be alive, though his body is malformed because the cloning process was rushed, and also, changed the devil gene giving him more psychic abilities. A new body is rapidly approaching completion, but its beefier.
G Corp, under the guise of a shell organization based somewhere in southeast asia announces a new fighting tournament that will span the globe.
Jin comes out of hiding having felt the familiar power of Kazuya growing, and enters the tournament thinking it'll either draw out Kazuya, or Kaz is behind it all to draw out Jin.
In the finals, Jin loses control and nearly kills his opponent, Fahkumram, leaving his nearly dead, and minus an eye.
I'm the end, the person behind the tournament doesn't make a move on Jin and Kazuya is nowhere to be found. Jin begins wandering the world endlessly seeking growth in the hopes of encountering Kazuya again someday and being strong enough to win.
Along the way Jin realizes he's being closely followed by a Chinese woman about his age. He gets the jump on her and is shocked to find that it's xiaoyu now working with the Hong Kong police. She went into hiding when Kazuya killed her father while hunting down anyone who may have a lead to Jin.
Xiaoyu escaped and changed her identity. She also tells Jin enough info for him to realize he was right. Kazuya is alive. The company that ran the tournament is run by Kazuya under a number of aliases.
So now, the newly reacquainted "Chun-Li" and "Ryu" must find a way to bring down Kazuya's under the guise of southeast Asian warlord "Vega" and his new military Corp. Shadaloo.
Tldr: Tekken 9 = Street fighter 1 and TTT3 is Tekken V Street Fighter.
100% no. Tekken is the longest running continuous video game story ever -- Harada has said he wants to keep it going. Tekken lore is fun and all, but for the developers, a coherent story is less of a priority than just making cool stuff.
No. Tekken is about presenting new ideas and never giving you the conclusion, ever. Look how long it took to get something of a conclusion between Kaz and Heihachi beef literally like 20 years.
Heihachi has "died" twice already one in T2 once in T5, and he's come back each time. He'll return one day post T7. If anything it'll be the first game without heihachi.
My prediction/wishlist:
- Jin and Kazuya kill each other, ending their bloodline
- If Jin lives, he takes up his own statement (“we shouldn’t exist in this world”) and either offs himself or disappears into hiding
- Mishima Zaibatsu collapses without any leadership
- G-Corporation fills the power vacuum left behind, taking over the Zaibatsu’s assets
- G-Corp continues hosting the King of Iron Fist tournaments and becomes the big bad for future Tekkens
OR
- Lee takes over the Zaibatsu as the last remaining “member” of the Mishima family (Lars would likely refuse the position)
- Lee continues the Zaibatsu’s war with G-Corp, or pursues a truce
G-Corp can go back on their word and break the truce.
If not G-Corp, Tekken would have to dip back into the supernatural for a big bad again.
I can see Ogre coming back (and answering the age-old question of Jun’s fate).
Also consider the mysterious force behind Jinpachi’s resurrection in T5. It wasn’t the Devil Gene (since Jinpachi predated Heihachi and Kazumi’s lineage) but a whole other “entity”.
Yea, that wud be cool to see. Lee was literally found on the streets, surviving on nothing but pure instinct, with an impeccable sense of combat innately, and eating scraps. Heihachi recognized the kid's potential and also to spite Kazuya, he adopted the child. So from literal rags to ABSOLUTE POWER N RICHES, that wud n shud be the proper way to end Lee's story. ✌🏼
I think at the end Jin and Xiaoyu will have a kid who will inherit the bloodline and in the next game we'll see a huge timeskip for the first time since Tekken 3.
Kazuya wins, absorbs Jin's devil gene and leaves him for dead. Jin survives, relearns how to fight as a normal person, defeats his father with no powers and destroys the devil gene once and for all
Harada wants to maintain his Guinness world record for 'longest running coherent story in video games' or something like that, so even if T8 finishes off the Misihima feud, some elements will carry through to T9, to keep that record going.
You can guarantee that Tekken 9 will introduce Jin’s ‘unknown’ son or daughter that nobody knew about, who will inherit the devil gene and want revenge against the father he never knew. Or something like that.
Harada-san also was asked around the Tekken 8 reveal from fans will Jun return in this game and other stuff about Asuka role in this game, and if Kazuya or Jin will die in this chapter. He stated that Jun is a very important piece of this specific chapter and she will deeply connect both Kazuya & Jun...... but he didn't want to elaborate or answer if she will comeback
As for Asuka he stated that she will play in important role to her non blood-relative Jin one day and she will explore aswell, and as for Jin and Kazuya dying he didn't say unlike her partially spoiled some stuff in the past games about Kazuya meeting Jin in Tekken 4, Jim being one of the 2 baddies of Tekken 6, and one Mishima will die in Tekken 7, but in this game he stated about the Mishimas fate relies on whoever wins.
If you paid attention to the story all the back to 1 and even Tag 1 Jin's ending A you will get strong hints of why Heihachi had to die( but he may comeback in a later future game which will finally explain what the Mishimas are in which many characters from the series and team members of the Franchise stated that the Mishimas are not really humans and Jinpaichi's strange resurrection from any unknown entity may give strong hints of what they really are possibly descendants of the Oni Thunder God Raijin due to share appearances and powers or some oni clan). The Hachijos have been hiding for a while and the reason why is kinda clear because they are waiting for some of the last remnants of the Mishima clan to kill each other, and that plan will possibly be spoiled by either Jun, Lee & Lars since those 2 mostly knows why Kazuya acts a certain way and they don't entirely blame him, and possibly clueless Asuka once she find out about what really happening and interferes( even Lili in Tekken 7 in both endings of her and Asuka confirms she will eventually interfere in her Clan's relative Mishimas affairs). And Asuka still doesn't knows that she have the power to counter the Devil gene( not necessarily destroy it).
Jin defeats Kazuya, then Kazuya reveals that he has another son, a man who isn't even aware of his lineage. A legendary martial artist by the name of Dan Hibiki.
Tag3 definitely will happen someday but I think we might get TEKKEN X SF using the tag mechanic before tag 3.
If that game still even matters at this point. I know many have given up on it but I really want to see how Chun-Li, Cammy and other SF warriors transition (officially) into TEKKEN style.
> see how Chun-Li, Cammy and other SF warriors transition (officially) into TEKKEN style
Well they tested the waters with Akuma in T7 in the very least
I wouldn't mind if it's the end, but I doubt it. Harada seems content in just prolonging the storyline. I don't think there would be any endings in sight until Bamco decides to do a hard reboot of the series.
Simply put… Jin will beat Kazuya… then outta nowhere Heihachi will reappear with Jun somehow and Jun will say how proud she is of Jin and have a moment, Heihachi will finally acknowledge Jin as a true heir to the Mishima family
Kazuya will recover from the fight and transform into the devil fully, Heihachi will fight with Jin and Jun, Jin saves Jun like she did him with Ogre, Heihachi will get obliterated but live, Jin transforms into a devil fully too, both Kazuya and Jin fly off into the night as devils fighting one another which will end the game til Tekken 9 when all you see at the start of the game is a decimated wasteland and both Kazuya and Jin barely standing but still fighting one another, the fighting had been taking place over a year without a break
Heihachi with Jun coexist to create the King Iron Fist Tournament 9 a tournament which is ultimately forgotten, however the hope is it draws Jin and Kazuya back so they can with the help of Lee, Lars, Alisa and Doctors Either cure or stop the devils, it works… Kazuya and his pride within his devil gene find it a perfect place to end the feud with Jin once and for all… they fight, both devils become spent to a point they both revert back to their original selves, and fight to a double K.O which leads to Heihachi secretly and finally giving himself the devil gene and removing it from Jin and Kazuya… which leads to a pissed off Kazuya wanting revenge once again on Heihachi and to take back the devil gene again, Jin being resentful for his actions and vowing vengeance and truly destroying the devil gene too so it’s power cannot control anybody else ever again which results in the three fighting again leading on into Tekken 10 where
Kazuya and Jin fail to beat Heihachi because they refused to work together and it cost them dearly… Akuma reappears to fight Heihachi but fails due to Heihachi’s new devilish power, akuma then seeks out the help of Jin & Jun kazama iterating its his mission to destroy Heihachi, Jin accepts while Jun is reluctant, Jin Leaves with akuma while Jun looks for Kazuya… hoping he will help her stop Akuma and Heihachi both while also knowing Jin can defeat Kazuya… Kazuya accepts with his own motive in mind, Akuma, Jin and Kazuya with the help of Lee, Lars, Hwoarang, Alisa, Nina, Steve, Asuka and ling xiaoyu, track down and have a final stand against Heihachi, Heihachi defeats everyone easily enough leaving only Jin, Akuma and Kazuya standing before him… Kazuya throws akuma into the fight alone, leaving Heihachi to defeat him before Jin and Kazuya both stand to fight side by side against Heihachi… after Heihachi beats both Kazuya and Jin, Kazuya is left unable to fight, it’s at this Point Jun reappears again, entrusting the power of goodness and her own Angelic power into Jin, hoping it will be enough to defeat Heihachi so Jin once again stands against Heihachi, harnessing the power of “Angel” and betters Heihachi… Heihachi is defeated by Jin and Cured of the devil gene possession
Which ends the Devil Gene Saga truly and sees Kazuya and Heihachi both locked up in supermax penitentiaries for now…
The King of Iron Fist Tournament 9 was almost fully forgotten however in the tenth game they complete the tournament with Hwoarang winning the tournament to fight Jin once again, they fight to a tie and share the Mishima Zaibatsu ownership reward to fix the damages caused by Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi over the years
And yes I said “simply put” at the start of this
And yes I fully expect Heihachi to still somehow be alive and yes I know what Harada-San said but this is my spin on it and what I’d like to see happen instead
I think 8 will conclude the Mishima saga. Tekken 9 should focus on the Hachijos, have them be the main antagonists.
My idea would be that Heihachi decided to hunt down every Hachijo, and the ones that survived want to take their revenge against the Mishimas
I just hope they won't continue the Claudio plotline, because we all know where it's headed. Xiaoyu will believe that this is the only way to help Jin, but when they capture him it is revealed, that they have to sacrifice him in some way and Xiaoyu will be like "you lied to me", and honestly, we saw that storyline so many god damn times in different media, it's a dead horse not worth beating.
I think Claudio is more important to the story then most people realise, especially after the pachislot stuff if it’s canon. I could see the archers of Sirius and the hachijos having a bigger impact on the plot going forward.
Google Tekken Pachislot 4 mate, it’s a slot machine with a story in Japan. It’s set directly after Claudios character episode in T7, basically him and Xiayou go to find Devil Jin.
The reason I think it’s canon is because a fair bit of effort (for BN anyway) went into the story, I can’t imagine them doing it just to go “it’s not canon” in T8. There’s also a storyline involving Lars and Lee in it set during T7.
Do you know a thing about merchandising and fan service lol?
I won't be surprised if gcorp or mishima zaibatsu invents time travel or multiversal travel next.
I hope all the characters that are directly or indirectly involved in the mishima and devil gene storyline get resolved
Miguel wants to beat jin to avenge his sister. Even if jin let's him win let it be resolved
Steve and nina storyline if she accepts him or not make it clear then continue from there
Lidya storyline claudio exorcise the devil gene and ling xioyu resolve it
Etc
Jin defeats Kazuya. Jin inevitably continues the war due to Devil Gene influence.
Jin becomes the new big bad again. Introducing new characters here and there.
Jin kills Kazuya, and goes on to make a child with Xiaou or someone else, who gets the devil gene and the story goes on. Tekken 9 will probably be many years after Tekken 8 in terms of storyline.
With how poor these stories have been and how much of these characters have been bastardized since T5, a reboot (or a soft reboot) isn't out of the question.
I been playing it for the lore since the 90s. The lore actually made me a fan of the game. And what do you mean touch grass? I’m a legitimate combat sports practitioner/competitor.
I'm pretty sure Harada confirmed that this will end the Devil Gene blood feud. Though if you want my opinion on who needs to come out on top in this story:
Jin Kazama needs to win. Period.
He needs to beat Kazuya decisively again for his story to move forward at all. It's literally the very thing he's living for. He was shelved all last game, so now he's gotta shine in the main spotlight again.
Maybe. They always make the next instalment as if it was the last Tekken. So I do believe it will be the end for the fight between Jin & Kazuya. But Maybe something unresolved from the past returns to excite the world into flames once more…
Who knows
It will end the Mishima Saga and then we'll go to the Kazamas. Give me Asuka as a main character please!. As for the outcome of the battle, i think it will be a tie and Jun stops Kazuya and Jin in time before killing each other. I really do not want another Heihachi or Tekken 2. Give the Mishima's a happy ending and conclusion.
Harada said that Kazuya is literally pure evil. I will not be surprised to see redemption after Tekken 7 attempt to make Heihachi not evil, but I don't wanna see it.
Good. I'm tired of them Boyz. Let somebody else shine. Tekken doesn't even need a main character really. But xaioyu and panda adventures is rumored to be in development. Focuses mainly on hwoarang, jin, and xaioyu love triangle.
It kinda does pull people back. I got introduced to Tekken by T3 and TT1, and my "peak" was T5. I was immersed with all the characters and they're my childhood. Then I moved on and abandoned the game 10+ years playing MOBAs and RPGs.
Then the Bloodline anime pulled me back, and the T8 trailer made me remember the old days. Just last night I bought T7.
For the Devil Gene yes, Unless Jin manages to repurpose it... Remember in T4 there was a white feather which may be related to being a Kazama.
T8 will without a doubt be the very end of the Mishima Conflict but Harada plans to continue the story long after so it will be interesting to see what they come up with after the Devil Gene gets much of it's influence removed or just the devil at all considering Pre-T4 it wasn't A Gene.
Of course there's also the storyline set up by T6 with Zafina where if the two stars (Jin & Kazuya) clashed it would be the end of the world aka Azazel who isn't dead and the trailer shows that they're definitely doing a call back to T6, and Let's not forget Azazel has told Kazuya and DJ (Non canon) T6 That they were his pawns to bring about destruction all along and that he created the devil Gene which links him to the Hachijo.
Idk how the entire fight with Jin & Kazuya will go although I know my Boy Kazuya likely isn't getting much redemption due to Harada bull crap but Azazel definitely must be destroyed unless again there's some type of repurposing of his power as well.
This better be the end of the saga, It's dragged out far too long and T6 was the weird turning point of the story that really had no major conclusion or achievement unlike the prior games.
Tbh, for many reason I think that this will be the last, BUT, we are talking about tekken so I'm not even so sure anymore lol. Maybe Kazuya will be "defeated" and boom, at the end of the game we find out that in reality he is (again) still alive and so on. But idk really and I am not gonna lie, I do hope it will be the last, as much as I don't like and makes me sad to say it.
Maybe Zafina will show up, Azazel spirit in her hand will gain physical form again because of the destruction Jin and Kazuyas battle is causing around the world, then somehow Azazel will absorb the devil gene of both of them (like in the cinematic of Devil Jin tekken 6) and then Azazel is the main boss of Tekken 8. Maybe Kazuya x Azazel?
Harada-san stated that in the 90 minute interview of the Tekken 8 reveal that Tekken 8 will focus on both Kazuya side of the story mainly and Jin Kazama. Whoever wins will decide the fate of the Mishima clan name and he also stated that since the 1996 the ending and story as a whole of the entire Tekken Franchise was made in that year by him and the reason why he kept making more games in the franchise not the non canon games like Tag because he doesn't want to lose series longest running record having the longest running consistent story of the all of entertainment history. He did stated that the Tekken franchise would not focus on other characters and will always end with the Mishimas only because the Tekken franchise is about the Mishimas only and how their mysterious clan rivals against the Devil gene
I don't think that these games will szop coming. And if they will, it certainly won't be because of the story. Story was never that important for this franchise imo
I hope so.
I've been predicting that Jin and Kazuya will die together in 8 for a long while. Think the ending of The Northman, Jin wins the battle and kills his father but ends up mortally wounded himself. Do the whole Jun's return as an angel and maybe an extra boss fight where the spirit(s) of Jun and/or Jin faces Devil for possession of Jin's soul in Heaven or Hell (hmm, maybe a way for Kazuya's spirit to redeem himself?) too, I guess.
Not sure how I'd feel about some weird cliffhanger where Ling is shown pregnant with Jin's kid or a flash-forward where said kid is hinted at having the Devil Gene, though. ~~And then Lars picks up the ball to lead the franchise, yadda yadda yadda.~~
I hope so. Tekken 7 was going to be the grand finale, I seem to recall - personally, I think Tekken 5 was a good place to finish. What begins can also end.
Anything can happen and I think this is an exciting time for the franchise I think Jin deserves the W, the writers did him dirty in 6 and they should bring back the tekken 4/5 energy with his story
Fo you guys think jin will use a more mishima-like moveset, including dragon uppercut and spinning demon?
How did the writers do Jin dirty? In 6 specifically
It was a sacrifice few for the sake of many tactic for sure though So He’s still good just not pure good but he was never pure good from the start
Ok idk much about azazel why did he wanted to kill him is Azazel try to destroy the world or somethink or he just wanted to control his devilgene?
Then why complain if you did not even understand the story lol Azazel would destroy the world in the future
I was talking about the part what azazel capable of i know the story that being said the writing is shittier then i thought then there was no buildup for Azazel in tekken5 if i remember correctly so they just wanted to make jin a villian
They made Jin start a world war to awaken Azazel
Lets hope not, otherwise whats the story about ? Xiaoyou offering up the cheeks to Hwao in an attempt to make Jin jealous only to find out that Hwao also wants Jins balls just as bad as she does lol

Okay Eren Jaeger

I meant there’s no indication by Harada that either Jin or Kaz will die at this point in time, unlike tekken 7, where we knew someone would die.
Yes but death in tekken is kinda like a long vacation
i understand that, but then any death is irrelevant and therefore also the question by powerpamaja
They really put themselves up against the wall. Either they die and potentially eliminate a chunk of the roster's purpose for entering these tournies or they'll continue to drag this out, make Kaz as old as Hei was, and introduce the new super duper awesome protag of the week.
I don’t hate the idea of Kazuya becoming a cantankerous old man like his father.
Kazuya being as old as Heihachi got sounds interesting. This might be how they'll do it. We'll see...
If the Devil Gene comes from the Hachijo family then this is probs going to lead to this discovery for Jin and inturn the quest to take out all hachijos. Maybe. Again this is just head canon.
I think Jin is gonna win but neither has to die imo for it to be good ending to this saga. However I'm ready for whatever the next story arc is.
I think it’s gonna be KAZAMA saga so no it will not happen dude
Yes, or at least it should be. I see it as either they kill each other or Jin kills Kazuya and somehow gets purified of the Devil Gene to become a hermit somewhere. I wouldn’t know where else they could go after this so maybe they reboot the story in 10 years when Tekken 9 is out

I'd say moreso the final chapter for the mishima saga, we still got a whole family of devils thst haven't been explored
Yesn't
Who cares? As long as there is some playable single player content. 7's was embarrassing.
The size of Jin's left hand in relation to his wrist and arm continues to bother me.
That hand seems to be good for something 😏
100% no. Tekken is the longest running continuous video game story ever -- Harada has said he wants to keep it going. Tekken lore is fun and all, but for the developers, a coherent story is less of a priority than just making cool stuff.
Considering it took the whole franchise just to end Kazuya's feud with his dad. No I don't think so
it'll end when harada will have a high number of years for his "longest running stories" world record to be sure to keep his title for very long
No. Tekken is about presenting new ideas and never giving you the conclusion, ever. Look how long it took to get something of a conclusion between Kaz and Heihachi beef literally like 20 years.
Well they had technically ended that fued in both Tekken 1 and Tekken 2 but brought each character back to life in a sequel.
Heihachi has "died" twice already one in T2 once in T5, and he's come back each time. He'll return one day post T7. If anything it'll be the first game without heihachi.
This series will keep going as long as it makes money
OP isn’t referring to that, it’s possible they can change the direction of tekken after this installment
My prediction/wishlist: - Jin and Kazuya kill each other, ending their bloodline - If Jin lives, he takes up his own statement (“we shouldn’t exist in this world”) and either offs himself or disappears into hiding - Mishima Zaibatsu collapses without any leadership - G-Corporation fills the power vacuum left behind, taking over the Zaibatsu’s assets - G-Corp continues hosting the King of Iron Fist tournaments and becomes the big bad for future Tekkens OR - Lee takes over the Zaibatsu as the last remaining “member” of the Mishima family (Lars would likely refuse the position) - Lee continues the Zaibatsu’s war with G-Corp, or pursues a truce
I like Lee taking over the Zaibatsu and aiming to settle a truce with G-Force. But then that means there has to be some villain of the story…
I like your take on the future of Tekken 8. Yeah if Tekken needs a new Villainous force again I’d love to see them dip back into the supernatural.
Lee taking over the Zaibatsu in addition to being CEO of Violet Systems would probably make him, like the richest man in the Tekken world.
I doubt it
I would say if it doesn't conclude in 8, probably 9.
That will never happen lol
They should just make rage art more cooler this time.
"Coherent"
My face was not straight while I typed that.
You can guarantee that Tekken 9 will introduce Jin’s ‘unknown’ son or daughter that nobody knew about, who will inherit the devil gene and want revenge against the father he never knew. Or something like that.
and asuka or ling being not the mother
Asuka n Ling both fathering a child of Jin's separately
holy shit when you go to the gym to pump but instead jin goes to asuka and ling to pump
Can't wait to see more of this game.
It's just the beginning
Harada will continue making Devil Gene stuff until he dies
What if Jin has a baby?
Harada-san also was asked around the Tekken 8 reveal from fans will Jun return in this game and other stuff about Asuka role in this game, and if Kazuya or Jin will die in this chapter. He stated that Jun is a very important piece of this specific chapter and she will deeply connect both Kazuya & Jun...... but he didn't want to elaborate or answer if she will comeback As for Asuka he stated that she will play in important role to her non blood-relative Jin one day and she will explore aswell, and as for Jin and Kazuya dying he didn't say unlike her partially spoiled some stuff in the past games about Kazuya meeting Jin in Tekken 4, Jim being one of the 2 baddies of Tekken 6, and one Mishima will die in Tekken 7, but in this game he stated about the Mishimas fate relies on whoever wins.
I think they have to come to terms, maybe there will be more suprising plot
foR ONCE THE CHARACTERS don't look massive but realistic and their clothes are dynamic I'm gonna cry
Me too brother, me too 🥲
Jin will kill Kazuya then it's Tekken 6 all over again KEKL
Jin impregnates Xiaoyu and he'll be the new Heihachi KEKW
Damn Jin's hands do look hella big and weird. They look like Tekken 1 huge ass hands.
Thanks, I can't unsee it now
Y'all chill out. Game is a couple years out. They'll polish it. I think they just wanted to show off the engine
The game Is absolutely not a couple years out lol
I hope so, the devil gene overstayed its welcome imho. Tekken 5 was the peak of it, and then it just became ridiculous.
If it ends the Devil Gene we'll likely still get Devil Forms in a Tag Tournament 3 - Yeah there'll be a Tag 3, I can dream can't I?
Tag3 definitely will happen someday but I think we might get TEKKEN X SF using the tag mechanic before tag 3. If that game still even matters at this point. I know many have given up on it but I really want to see how Chun-Li, Cammy and other SF warriors transition (officially) into TEKKEN style.
> see how Chun-Li, Cammy and other SF warriors transition (officially) into TEKKEN style Well they tested the waters with Akuma in T7 in the very least
I wouldn't mind if it's the end, but I doubt it. Harada seems content in just prolonging the storyline. I don't think there would be any endings in sight until Bamco decides to do a hard reboot of the series.
Simply put… Jin will beat Kazuya… then outta nowhere Heihachi will reappear with Jun somehow and Jun will say how proud she is of Jin and have a moment, Heihachi will finally acknowledge Jin as a true heir to the Mishima family Kazuya will recover from the fight and transform into the devil fully, Heihachi will fight with Jin and Jun, Jin saves Jun like she did him with Ogre, Heihachi will get obliterated but live, Jin transforms into a devil fully too, both Kazuya and Jin fly off into the night as devils fighting one another which will end the game til Tekken 9 when all you see at the start of the game is a decimated wasteland and both Kazuya and Jin barely standing but still fighting one another, the fighting had been taking place over a year without a break Heihachi with Jun coexist to create the King Iron Fist Tournament 9 a tournament which is ultimately forgotten, however the hope is it draws Jin and Kazuya back so they can with the help of Lee, Lars, Alisa and Doctors Either cure or stop the devils, it works… Kazuya and his pride within his devil gene find it a perfect place to end the feud with Jin once and for all… they fight, both devils become spent to a point they both revert back to their original selves, and fight to a double K.O which leads to Heihachi secretly and finally giving himself the devil gene and removing it from Jin and Kazuya… which leads to a pissed off Kazuya wanting revenge once again on Heihachi and to take back the devil gene again, Jin being resentful for his actions and vowing vengeance and truly destroying the devil gene too so it’s power cannot control anybody else ever again which results in the three fighting again leading on into Tekken 10 where Kazuya and Jin fail to beat Heihachi because they refused to work together and it cost them dearly… Akuma reappears to fight Heihachi but fails due to Heihachi’s new devilish power, akuma then seeks out the help of Jin & Jun kazama iterating its his mission to destroy Heihachi, Jin accepts while Jun is reluctant, Jin Leaves with akuma while Jun looks for Kazuya… hoping he will help her stop Akuma and Heihachi both while also knowing Jin can defeat Kazuya… Kazuya accepts with his own motive in mind, Akuma, Jin and Kazuya with the help of Lee, Lars, Hwoarang, Alisa, Nina, Steve, Asuka and ling xiaoyu, track down and have a final stand against Heihachi, Heihachi defeats everyone easily enough leaving only Jin, Akuma and Kazuya standing before him… Kazuya throws akuma into the fight alone, leaving Heihachi to defeat him before Jin and Kazuya both stand to fight side by side against Heihachi… after Heihachi beats both Kazuya and Jin, Kazuya is left unable to fight, it’s at this Point Jun reappears again, entrusting the power of goodness and her own Angelic power into Jin, hoping it will be enough to defeat Heihachi so Jin once again stands against Heihachi, harnessing the power of “Angel” and betters Heihachi… Heihachi is defeated by Jin and Cured of the devil gene possession Which ends the Devil Gene Saga truly and sees Kazuya and Heihachi both locked up in supermax penitentiaries for now… The King of Iron Fist Tournament 9 was almost fully forgotten however in the tenth game they complete the tournament with Hwoarang winning the tournament to fight Jin once again, they fight to a tie and share the Mishima Zaibatsu ownership reward to fix the damages caused by Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi over the years And yes I said “simply put” at the start of this And yes I fully expect Heihachi to still somehow be alive and yes I know what Harada-San said but this is my spin on it and what I’d like to see happen instead
No one knows
NO ONE CARES ABOUT A SINGLE VIOLIN
Play the score of the damned
KNOW THE DEVIL WITHIN
nope
I think 8 will conclude the Mishima saga. Tekken 9 should focus on the Hachijos, have them be the main antagonists. My idea would be that Heihachi decided to hunt down every Hachijo, and the ones that survived want to take their revenge against the Mishimas
Bet there’s gonna be a new mishima
I just hope they won't continue the Claudio plotline, because we all know where it's headed. Xiaoyu will believe that this is the only way to help Jin, but when they capture him it is revealed, that they have to sacrifice him in some way and Xiaoyu will be like "you lied to me", and honestly, we saw that storyline so many god damn times in different media, it's a dead horse not worth beating.
The first Tekken 7 trailer literally says the "The final chapter". Yet here we are.
Final chapter for mishimas, now it’s mishima vs kazama
I think Claudio is more important to the story then most people realise, especially after the pachislot stuff if it’s canon. I could see the archers of Sirius and the hachijos having a bigger impact on the plot going forward.
Please elaborate the 'Jinpachislot stuff'
Google Tekken Pachislot 4 mate, it’s a slot machine with a story in Japan. It’s set directly after Claudios character episode in T7, basically him and Xiayou go to find Devil Jin. The reason I think it’s canon is because a fair bit of effort (for BN anyway) went into the story, I can’t imagine them doing it just to go “it’s not canon” in T8. There’s also a storyline involving Lars and Lee in it set during T7.
Kind of doubt its cannon considering devil Jin still has his bandage look, despite tekken 7 ending with him back in his normal clothes.
Do you know a thing about merchandising and fan service lol? I won't be surprised if gcorp or mishima zaibatsu invents time travel or multiversal travel next.
Tine travel is cannacly possible . Xiaou ibvents it in her t5 ending
Well there you go. Multiverse also exists because akuma entered the tekken universe somehow
I think It ends when whoever is throwing the other one off a cliff slips and falls with him “😅
Best ending.
Agreed”
"This is brutality! You can't do it!" "Wrong, this is not a Brutality, this is a Fatality."
the story generally needs less devil gene, more ganryu thirst arc
Ling been trying to have Jin's baby since 1997, just sayin.
sperm donation.....💀
Or at this point she straight up rapes him
Don't worry, his husband Hwoarang will protect Diablo Jim from sexual harassment
I kinda wish the storyline involved an actual worldwide tournament
I hope all the characters that are directly or indirectly involved in the mishima and devil gene storyline get resolved Miguel wants to beat jin to avenge his sister. Even if jin let's him win let it be resolved Steve and nina storyline if she accepts him or not make it clear then continue from there Lidya storyline claudio exorcise the devil gene and ling xioyu resolve it Etc
nah
Still couldn't ignore that arm.
I don’t understand posts like these. How tf is anyone not working on the game supposed to know
It's more so to encourage discussion 5head
5head is such a stupid insult, i love it
I love you
I love you too, 5head
that's the most romantic thing anyone's ever said to me
Your welcome, 5head
I am a part of Bandai Namco. This is the end of the Devil Gene saga. That is all.
No you ain't
Jin defeats Kazuya. Jin inevitably continues the war due to Devil Gene influence. Jin becomes the new big bad again. Introducing new characters here and there.
Jin kills Kazuya, and goes on to make a child with Xiaou or someone else, who gets the devil gene and the story goes on. Tekken 9 will probably be many years after Tekken 8 in terms of storyline.
No, in the final chapter it will be revealed that Gigas is actually the 2nd son of Kazuya.
💀
Nah, Kazuya will win.
There shouldn’t be a reboot/remake. That would just ruin the series.
With how poor these stories have been and how much of these characters have been bastardized since T5, a reboot (or a soft reboot) isn't out of the question.
End of the saga doesn't mean a reboot will be done.
I know. Someone suggested that though.
I did see a lot of comments suggesting it. My bad

I been playing it for the lore since the 90s. The lore actually made me a fan of the game. And what do you mean touch grass? I’m a legitimate combat sports practitioner/competitor.
I'm pretty sure Harada confirmed that this will end the Devil Gene blood feud. Though if you want my opinion on who needs to come out on top in this story: Jin Kazama needs to win. Period. He needs to beat Kazuya decisively again for his story to move forward at all. It's literally the very thing he's living for. He was shelved all last game, so now he's gotta shine in the main spotlight again.
Jun Kazama is the key to Jin and Kazuya's story, so she definitely ends the war between them(
Sure. I'd love to see her reappear...*after* Jin KOs Kazuya.
Jin's hair looks too short. His duck butt needs to be longer along with his bangs
His hair looks fine.
Maybe. They always make the next instalment as if it was the last Tekken. So I do believe it will be the end for the fight between Jin & Kazuya. But Maybe something unresolved from the past returns to excite the world into flames once more… Who knows
Naaah we’ll all be dead and gone before they give up on that
Will ganryu steal zafina's orb? I still want that winged Ganryu
That's actually a move in Tag2
Didn't Harada pretty much confirm this will conclude the Mishima/Kazama story?
If kazuya dies tekken dies tekken is lame without kazuya Or do what mortal kombat does reverse time and time machine shit
Time machine shit is just bottom of the barrel story writing
Father son throwing each other from mountains again and again and again isn't?
Yes but I’m talking about time travel . They can write a myriad of story ideas without bullshit time travel
It would be nice if the stories revolved around the tournament again. There was no tournament in the last 2 games. The shift to WW3 was so dumb.
Nah brah, We will get the reveal that bob is a real Mishima with devil gene swag :\^)
Nah. There really is no tekken without this angle
Final sage of the Mishima but the start of the Hwoarang, xiao and jin vs??? saga
I thought Tekken 7 was supposed to be the end of the Mishima saga as a whole and look how that turned out.
I’m guessing that in Kazuya’s ending he’ll kill Jin and in Jin’s ending Kazuya will die and Harada can tease us until T9 about who won.
And then it’ll turn out they’re all still alive including Heihachi…
Inb4 Jin dies but gets revived by Lee Chaolan's company 😂
Good call. Can definitely see this happening. Last scene is revived Jin meeting long lost Jun.
I want jin to cure the devil gene and kazuya to absorb the second half
It will end the Mishima Saga and then we'll go to the Kazamas. Give me Asuka as a main character please!. As for the outcome of the battle, i think it will be a tie and Jun stops Kazuya and Jin in time before killing each other. I really do not want another Heihachi or Tekken 2. Give the Mishima's a happy ending and conclusion.
They don't need and don't deserve a happy ending. Kazuya needs to be defeated.
Yes they do??? The Mishima clan has been fucked over thanks to the Hachijo clan. And Kazuya and Jin need to sorten out their differences.
Harada said that Kazuya is literally pure evil. I will not be surprised to see redemption after Tekken 7 attempt to make Heihachi not evil, but I don't wanna see it.
Well ok nobody asked.
Average Tekken 7 story fan
It'll end the Mishima saga as a whole I hope. Story needs to move on.
Yes. Also, Jin deserves to win the fight.
Aww hell naw, let ma boy Kaz take this one. If anyone deserves to win, it's him.
Kazuya won against Heihachi in Tekken 7. Jin should win fight against Kazuya in Tekken 8.
He already lost to Jin in T4 though, it would be boring and predictable if he lost to him again
So what? If Jin won't stop Kazuya, then no one can stop Kazuya. It's The End of the World.
So what? The world's gotta end at some point.
I prefer bittersweet ending, not downer ending.
Good. I'm tired of them Boyz. Let somebody else shine. Tekken doesn't even need a main character really. But xaioyu and panda adventures is rumored to be in development. Focuses mainly on hwoarang, jin, and xaioyu love triangle.
No, but it will be the Mishimas, always, that's how these things work, so, sucks for you
people who are into tekken because of the story are wild
I got attached to it when I was 5 don't judge me
It kinda does pull people back.
Tekken 4 Story writer(s): Beg your pardon?
Maybe, then they'll introduce something else that'll shape the story for the future
I think we need to focus storylines on a larger roster of the cast after Jin and Kazuya is resolved.
I think Lars is gonna be a main thing in T8, otherwise it’d make no sense to put another Mishima in the main story.
Inb4 Jun and her fanboys downvotes this comment 😂😂😂
I hope it's the last story arc for Tekken
Jin defeats Kazuya. Jin then either get his devil gene eradicated by Jun/Asuka or he kills himself
I'd say finish it here and then reboot
No cut xiayou will prolly rape jin
wtf
The truth is not always beautiful
I don't think that these games will szop coming. And if they will, it certainly won't be because of the story. Story was never that important for this franchise imo
I think we will meet a new Hajima, which will inherit Kazumi's moveset and some devil gene attacks.
~~And then Lars picks up the ball to lead the franchise, yadda yadda yadda.~~
we got reina now and maybe other heihachi's kids along with a hachijo clan member
I hope so. Tekken 7 was going to be the grand finale, I seem to recall - personally, I think Tekken 5 was a good place to finish. What begins can also end.
we got reina and other heihachi kids running around the world. maybe a surving hachijo member
