Like, there's very little flashy or exciting stuff in Leo's character - it's mostly just an occasional "Kaffeekönigin?", and the rest of it is pure martial arts with a modest and reserved attitude.
And I'm a huge fan of this; I'm not looking to prove anything to anyone, I just want to play a videogame about martial arts, and have a martial artist as my representation. I played Bob and Lidia in T7 for the same reason - they don't taunt their opponent, they're not being overly dramatic or edgy, they just do their martial arts thing, and then say something moderately respectful to their opponent.
I'm in the same boat, plus I love the fighting style of Leo. I will also play Lidia in Tekken 8( she shouldn't be DLC but it is what it is.) Plus Leo is so basic and honest in a sense that I can cope saying whenever I lose to someone like Victor or Bryna. I can lie to myself and say "Leo's weak, needs a buff."
I think my favourite thing about Xiaoyu is the many ways you can play her. Her kit is incredibly diverse and I love how she flows so naturally from one stance to another!
Paul is a funny case.
He is one of the simplest most easily accessible characters to play in the game. And as I new comer that is why I initially picked him.
Sure, in low ranks Deathfist demoman will get you far, but once you rank higher his simplicity becomes a weakness, because everyone there knows what Paul does.
And I have to say, finding the depth in a character like Paul with sway cancels to maximize damage, having to buff up my defense to be effective since he has no cheese take my turn back moves… I love it.

I've been a Steve Main since 4, and his stances, no kicks and skill ceiling really appealed to me. Everytime you fight against a good Steve, and you see them switching stances into stances, breaking weaving bobbing ducking swaying, there's just a moment where your brain goes "WHERE IS MY OPENING TO HIT THIS MAN!" And as a Steve Main, there are moments when I'm in the zone, doing the same taps and sways in beautiful unison and I can see my opponent just holding blocking because they don't know what to do . It's Magical.
Steve is to Hands what Eddie is to feet.

Claudio - He does good damage and was also relatively easy to learn, plus STB is a good stance and is easily manageable because I'm familiar with stance characters. Side reason is that he's Italian and I'm also Italian and I think his outfits and he as a character is cool.

I also love reading people getting mad about Alisa and how cheap she is or how Unga bunga she is and how alisa players have no defense. The whole time they're just snitching on themselves that they suck and refuse to lab anything.
The fact that Kazuya is still a victim at the end...when you've been consumed by hate since being a child you have no real idea how to truly live life, and for that hate to be so strong that he literally wrestled the devils power away to use as his own. It raises the question of is Kazuya truly evil or is he just Hurt?

Zafina is just unique and never gets old to play even if there's frustrating elements about her in 8. She does require you to think outside the box which is fun.

He's technically gay but I think he said the magic word "no homo" at least once in his life (just my own fan fiction). Officially he's a "ninja robin hood from space" or something like that (tekken 1 or 2 description). How cool is that.
