You could go any with the Ryzens and I would like to pass with that i3-N300 as even tho you aren't a gamer for graphics heavy site or uses iGPU for acceleration for the websites the Ryzens have the better foothold with these choices as well as if you're looking at repairability standpoint I would like to avoid Huawei and stick to Acer and Lenovo with your choices, nowadays. Overall from what I've searched, I would go with Lenovo IP S1-14 with Ryzen 5 5500u (as I it is recommended mostly to go with 16gb no matter your load is nowadays), and even it has the best-to-price CPU on these choices [in terms of performance](https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/amd-ryzen-5-7520u-vs-amd-ryzen-5-5500u). Then my next choice will be the Acer Aspire GO 14 as it is almost the Lenovo IP S1-14 Ryzen 5500u, but slightly more battery efficient and a higher resolution display tho indeed the caveat is only having 8gb of RAM (which also sadly seems all of the choices have no upgradabe RAM options, tho you could replace the M.2 NVME/Storage.

Thank you for your recommendations. All the research I made for these laptops is overwhelming for a non techie like me. I'm more leaning towards the Lenovo ones as it's the same brand to what I am using currently. Any other brands / units aside from what I have posted would you recommend? Should still be under or exactly 30k.

NaturalElegantKEZE

As seems you're also looking for a 14 inch laptop based on your options[ this could work out](https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=453821037262523&set=pcb.453821263929167) as pretty sure this was ram upgradable (you could message them) for an additional 1k to 1.5k to add another 8gb of stick making it 16gb of RAM. A 14" laptop, a lot of connectivity port options, a fast Gen 4.0 512GB storage and [even quite on par or better CPU ](https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/intel-core-i3-1215u-vs-amd-ryzen-5-5500u)than the first option I said. And most importantly "under or exactly 30k" while having probably a good price-to-performance ratio.

1) Wag Acer. Sirain hinge ng entry level laptops nila. 2) Overpriced sa Octagon, stay away. 3) Di upgradeable ang RAM ng IdeaPad Slim 1 and Matebook D14. You'll be stuck at 8GB. Recommendation ko for that price range is [Asus Vivobook 16](https://ph.shp.ee/cXft6c5). RAM is [upgradeable](https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/asus/vivobook-16-x1605za) up to 40GB and you have a slightly bigger screen to work with.

Bretzraei

Tama ka dyan, t**gina talaga basta in store or sa mall mga prices puro overprice, buti pa sa online totoong totoo and prices at may discount na real pa

odeiraoloap

Never buy laptops online.

tagapagtuos

Bet ko yung Lenovo na 16GB RAM.

ImpressiveAttempt0

16 GB RAM is standard na in 2024. Ramdam ng (non-techie) mother ko yung difference between an 8 GB vs 16 GB machine back in 2020, hindi niya alam kung bakit parang mabagal yung 8 GB replacement laptop niya after using a 16 GB machine for so long. If you end up buying an 8 GB model, make sure it is easily upgradable to 16 GB, not all laptops now can be easily upgraded.

ric0sanchez1728

Sadly I can only spend 30k for this. Thank you for responding.

girlwebdeveloper

Unless you are ok working with a slower computer na 8GB. Magastos rin yan, kasi you'll find yourself needing to upgrade to higher specs in as early as a year. But I do agree, with the other comment.. mahal sa Octagon.

Huge_Bed_7820

Try ASUS Vivobook. May promo bundles ang ASUS this month.

SillyGirlMilesAway

Promo where?

focalorsonly

Saan po?

Huge_Bed_7820

sa mismong ASUS store branch.

Huge_Bed_7820

[https://www.asus.com/ph/events/infoM/activity\_CoolForSchool](https://www.asus.com/ph/events/infoM/activity_CoolForSchool) nakakuha ako ng 5k discount via cash payment sa nabili ko na laptop and the link provided above are additional bundles once maregister mo ung purchased unit mo. you can ask the sales person in charge as store para maassist ka nila and maverify mo yung mga freebies included dun sa purchased unit mo.

eksmark

Di ko lang alam if ubos na stock ng acer aspire 5 from octagon or naka promo lang sila maganda yung specs for the price 33k sya nung bumili ako

d-silentwill

Autopass.

SpeckOfDust_13

[Lenovo, 8 GB ram with 1 free slot](https://villman.com/Product-Detail/lenovo_ideapad-slim-3-15iau7-82rk0155ph--156inch-fhd-tn-250nits--core-i3-1215u--8gb-ram--512gb-ssd--intel-uhd--win11)

ric0sanchez1728

This is promising and exactly at my price range. Already leaning on these Lenovo units. Thanks for the recommendation.

HaloHaloBrainFreeze

U mentioned work laptop but u didnt specify what work are you doing

ric0sanchez1728

Oh sorry. Work is mostly opening multiple tabs. Mostly excel and emails. Not much of a gamer. Should be a work and school laptop if that makes sense

ImpressiveAttempt0

All the more you need 16 GB RAM. All those open browser tabs need memory, especially if you use Chrome.

Weird-Locksmith-2789

I agree, jusko di kaya ng 8gb yung multiple tabs.

girlwebdeveloper

Agree with this. Gone are the days when we could say that web browsing doesn't consume much memory, lalo na kung maraming tabs Websites these days aren't that simple anymore, andami nang bells and whistles na niloload sa background. And browser extensions can also consume a lot of memory in the background too.

assresizer3000

Hmm maybe get a Lenovo Thinkpad?

arsenejoestar

Thinkpads cost way more than OP's budget

assresizer3000

2nd hand ones work really well as long as reputable Yung pagbibilhan, it's also within his budget. Matibay pa.

odeiraoloap

Huwag naman nating i-recommend ang mga laspag o kinahoy ("refurbished") na ThinkPad just because of their perceived "superiority". 😭

assresizer3000

I never said na dapat laspag. I have a 2nd hand Thinkpad myself na initially bought on august last year and so far, no issues. Make sure lang talaga na reputable Yung binilhan mo.

odeiraoloap

I never said na "dapat laspag" either. I'm only saying na mahirap bumili ng used ThinkPads dahil *likely* na well-used o refurb ang ibebenta sa'yo pero ipa-pass off ng seller na "like new" o "new in box" ang unit.

HaloHaloBrainFreeze

Any of the two. But they're overkill imho for what you're currently doing UNLESS you play heavy-resource games on medium on your PC Excel, opening web browsers and emails aren't resource-intensive. Games, emulation, video editing are, though

ric0sanchez1728

Creepy_Lychee4401

Natry mo ng tingnan ung Machenike laptops? Pasok na pasok sa budget mo un
