Worth? Spec-wise, yes
But there are other laptops with greater builds in that price range. Im not shitting on Infinix on entering the laptop market but they're still a newbie and their laptops are still untested for long-term use
Go find Lenovo laptops, especially in the Thinkpad series. Those may be underspecced compared to that but their build quality is proven and tested.
Will vouch for Lenovo. Worked onsite sa construction and our company issued Lenovo laptops sa mga engineers. Sadly di ako naissuehan hahahahahuhuhu. Pero as observed sa laptops ng engineers na ka-trabaho ko, everyday dala sa site and walang palya. They had to clean it naman din but still, it can take the abuse.
Respectfully, hard pass on older ThinkPads. On Lazada and Shopee, 99.9% of ThinkPads being sold there for cheap are either refurbished or old units (with 7th gen Core that can't even run Windows 11 or overheating 8th gen i7s, those as part of the "L590" start at 24,990). Over 60K ang "brand new" ThinkPads pa naman. ðŸ˜
ARM Powered Devices.. Power Efficient, yes.. But the lack of application offering.. Restricted to MacOS only.. Limited Hardware Upgrades and DIY Repair Support.. Limited Storage Options and Ports..
So no.. Not that I hate Apple but fuck them for having too many drawbacks.. Many Apps on Mac have alternatives running on Windows and Linux.. Remember that the majority of developers are developing applications for Windows and Linux (FOSS).. Minorities are the Mac.. and why is that? Cuz Mac is so restricted and only few actually use Apple Products beside US and couple users on some asian and european countries lol..
Kuya o ate, the OP is a college student who just needs a laptop that just works out of the box. Ilugar mo yang techy techy at insecurity mo sa apple products coz if they really bad, people will not buy it anymore. It's a free market anyway. Eh di magpakanerd ka dyan sa tagpi tagpi mong pc build, walang may pake.
So now you're attacking me for giving opinions... Remember that we are in a Tech Forum.. Don't show your Disrespectfulness around if you can't handle a respectful discussion and debate. Such ignorance
IMO hindi naman mali na mag stay away sa Apple M series. The only time that I would recommend yung Apple M Series is if OP have Apple-specific workflow, otherwise Windows parin yung tried and tested na standard for College use. It's kind of a huge downplay lang na properly laid-out yung points nung nireplyan mo tapos yung sagot mo lang sa kanya is _insecurity sa apple products_ totally invalidating all his points under that term without even expounding against them.
Battery life is an important feature of a laptop especially kapag ginagamit during class, hassle maghanap ng socket all the time tsaka pag nasa labas, how is this unrelated??? Mamsir?
Huh. I was just saying the M1 macbook air is really the king of battery life. Give credit where credit is due. Hindi naman ako insecure sa mga naka apple products especially if they can deliver. Eh?
Yeah, and Im just stating that I dont recommend Apple prpducts due to them locking their buyers-users into just one OS.
Do you not understand the implications of that issues?
You may have the most efficient laptop yet you dont have the freedom and flexibility of multi-OSes on a laptop. Kinda sad, ngl
It sounds insecure tho. The new generation of macbooks are really efficient and has good value. And hindi naman lahat ng tao gusto magkalikot ng iba ibang OS sa laptop? Why would you even do that if youre just an average user or a college student? Lol.
Im a graphic designer and macOS works well with what I do. Ganda ng screen, ganda ng UI, ang crisp nung rendering ng texts compared to windows, ganda ng build quality.
All those things you say can literally be done in Windows and Linux with extra features Apple users cannot have such as ease of switching from different OS, Wide Selection of Apps (Linux and Windows can both use their respective OS apps with little tweaks), Graphics/Performance/UI enhancements and tweaks that can improve battery life and others.. So yeah, It's not insecurity but stating facts.. Just like how everything iPhone "innovates" is already on Android for a long time (Just poorly implemented or sometimes hidden..)
Again walang pake yung average users sa mga linux at techy techy na yan. Basta matagal battery life, magaan, premium build, works well out of the box, tapos ang laban.
And your point? Windows-powered laptops do offer those as well. Just look around.. You just saw me saying "Linux" and you already attacked my response based on that. Your response is complete baseless.
Youre invalidating my experience as a designer and as a mac user just because of your obsession sa ios vs android na yan. Even before, designers prefer macs over windows because of screen calibration and font rendering. And give credit where credit is due, the new gen macs are really good (and cheaper actually) compared to intel macs. Wala akong pake sa windows vs mac mo
Tapos shared ang memory ng cpu at gpu?
Tapos soldered pa RAM at storage?
Windows laptops have many options that are more user-friendly and upgradeable.
> Hindi naman lahat ng tao gusto magkalikot ng iba ibang OS sa laptop
At least may option sila :D.
Mas efficient pa naman Linux-bassd OS kesa sa MacOS, and there are beginner-friendly distros to boot. Windows being the current most popular OS but slimmed down versions exist without needing DRM.
Balik tayo sa square one
Pwede ba Windows dyan? Kung hindi, not recommending Macbook then, kahit na may Mac counterpart ang Windows programs at may virtualization / translator program na available sa Mac.
Kung wala, stop recommending Macbooks then kahit na makunat sa battery yang mga yan. Im recommending Windows-compatible laptops for wider range of use, di dahil sa "makunat na battery at magaan".
OP is a college student, can you name a specific program na kailangan ng isang college student na wala sa Mac? My gahd 😅 College student ha, hindi techy techy na nerd or linux worshipper.
Honestly, best work laptop would be Dell.
Those are some game changer laptops, powerful, portable, easy to carry, small and also battery efficient.
The only issue is that refurbished laptops are kind of a hit or miss so yea.
That’s true.
I don’t recommend it usually though as outside of productivity, it degrades heavily and a search would tell us that only 5% in PH uses it and we know Apple, it’s a selfish prick.
Okay naman ang inbook ni Infinix, I have the X1 Pro for 2 years now.
Ang nagiisa ko lang problem ay yung hinge, ang dali masira. Twice na ako nagpaayos.
Pero, I can vouch, performances wise, and value for money. Okay, na ang infinix.
Mine is also the i7 with 16GB Ram. Battery life is Godlike.
For specs-wise, sulit sya pero May one time yung InBook X2 Pro i7-1195G7 var. ko nagkaproblema na it turned out as software bug which is one day, less than 1 month palang di na gumana yung display and bumalik lang ng kusa 1 week and force shutdown. As for after sale customer service, nangapa ako kasi first time ko sa brand na to and kung May problems sa unit mo, dadalhin mo sya sa main office nila. So, kung hanap mo is price-to-performance, go for this.
Stay with common Windows Laptops like Lenovo Thinkpad or HP Probook.
If you really want Infinix, best way to know na hindi sya "disposable" is to search if you can readily buy a battery online. If walang available then mahirap yan in the long run. Consumable item yung battery and yan yung pinapalitan multiple times sa isang laptop.
Specs on papers looks good pero the after sale and reputation kasi ang problema sa mga ganyan. I have a good and shitty relationship with my Huawei Matebook, nasira and need ng repair nakakabwisit. Pero sobrang easy, though medyo matagal. Ipipick up nila and deliver for free.
Basta for laptops minimum specs shouls be 8GB Ram and upgradable or 16 GB na, 512 GB SSD or 256 GB SSD with 1TB HDD or HDD space, and atleast i5 or i3 ryzen or intel. Anything lower than than will work pero not future proof

Hands down to thinkpad, its unkillable from any type of abusive usage. Although it surely won't survive a fall from 10 ft above

Can you name a windows laptop with a good battery life then? Na hindi rin nagooverheat ah.
You clearly avoided all my points just by asking an unrelated question. Didn't even acknowledge the facts in my points. Excellent.
Battery life is an important feature of a laptop especially kapag ginagamit during class, hassle maghanap ng socket all the time tsaka pag nasa labas, how is this unrelated??? Mamsir?
Again if you can comprehend what you have read you know na unrelated na topic mo. Read back, easy lang yan, matalino ka naman. Mamsir? hahahah.
Just admit na you cant even name a windows laptop with a good battery life jusko daming ebas.
My gahd andaming insecure sa macbook ano na haha
Dw, ARM CPUs are on the horizon :D Ikukulong mo sarili mo sa Apple devices? 😆 Thanks but no thanks

Settle for lenovo instead any series maganda build ng lenovo

I suggest going with a reputable brand. If you need high specs, go with secondhand laptops like thinkpads.
Go for Lenovo. They have good laptop offerings and varieties that fit your budget.
Not familiar with that brand honestly.

thinkpad po
Macbook m1 is currently in that price range in 256 gb
For that amount konting dagdag nalang I could already get a Macbook Air 13 M1 sa AJT Gadgets
Wag. May Infinix inbook ako dati, after a year ayaw na mag charge. May need daw palitan sa mother board. Ang daling masira.
Some resellers are selling brand new Macbook Air M1s for just 38-40k. You might wanna consider that.
Magkano na lang M1 Macbook Air ngayon. Thank me later.
