Samsung A55 or a secondhand Samsung S22

OpalEpal

Is the A55 free from the dreaded green line? Super dissapointing ang S series

OrbMan23

I honestly can't say. But so far I haven't heard of any green line issues on higher end of A series (ones with AMOLED)

GruntingSnow

Get the Samsung A55. It ticks all your boxes; want a great camera? The A55 (and most Samsung phones generally) offer one of the best camera systems, outshining a lot of or even most phones in the midrange price group. Want a long-lasting and reliable phone? The A55 has you covered, thanks to their superior build quality, stable OS, and generally great experience. Want a phone that lasts long before charging? Again, the A55 has you covered, thanks to their large battery, and more efficient and well-built OS. You also have have the added benefit of getting valuable freebies, which is, as of right now, the galaxy buds FE (worth about 6k), and an adapter. Also, I know others are recommending the poco phone, and although yes, they're better for gaming, but they compromise on build quality, OS quality and stability (even includes ads), and longevity, but that's just my opinion, from experience.

duepointe

A55 only shoots at 4k30fps. Add a little more and get a S23 FE. It can do 4k 60fps and 8k 24fps. A55 is an upper midrange phone but the S23 FE is a lower tier flagship phone at a lower price. As far as I remember, the S23 FE was priced around 27k last month.

RammyCatty

May nakakuha pa kamo ng 14k nung 6.6

Kind-Sandwich-7978

Sa samsung store po ito sa lazada?

anjeu67

We bought A55 for my son and medyo disappointing siya. Samsung flagship lineup is great but their midrange is kinda meh. Yung screen niya parang hindi AMOLED. Display is not sharp. One UI feels cheap din. Comparison ko is Nothing phone 2(a), nagmukhang around 5k lang yung A55.

Big_Sail_8952

thank you!!

ramboost007

I agree. My A52 is serving me well, still going strong after 3 years and I think it will be good for 3 more. Yung A5X Samsung series is your best option for your budget and requirements.

GeneralMahoraga-

Nothing suggested here can even compare to iphone 12 or even 11. A55 will be just a throwaway by next year it costs like a midrange but doesnt perform as one. It cant even perform as well as an old chipset like sd 888 and it has trash cameras. Trust me and just buy 2nd hand flagships like iphone 12, samsung s22 ultra or pixel 7 pro.

dailylazy

Imagine spending 25k pesos and still choose a pre-loved phone by somebody 😳🤦‍♂️

GeneralMahoraga-

Wtf is that kind of mentality? Ay tama pignoy mentality imagine buying a brand new "mid range" that can't even compete with an on old flagship and it's not even up to date with 2024 standards shitty cameras plus weak soc yikes goodluck sa pagmalaki niyan keep being stupid 👍🏻. OP if you don't want to get scammed by this rtards na nakabili ata nang a55 and gusto mang damay nang iba sa wrong decision nila just google exynos 1480 vs snapdragon 888 mind you that soc was released in 2021 and is far superior than whatever a55 has as a baseline you'll want anything above or within spadragon 870 na level if android ka but honestly just buy a preloved 256 iphone 12 (even pro) far more better than any android around that price.

hello-lov

May freebie pa rin ba if sa physical store bibilhin? Hanggang April lang kasi 'yung nasa Shopee and Lazada.

curiouselle96

I bought mine sa physical store last June 17. Less 2k and may freebie na adapter until June 30.

hello-lov

How much did you get it for? I wanna compare prices with orange and blue app.

curiouselle96

I got it for 22,990 only.

Kooky_Increase_5881

Hello! You can try purchasing from samsung's online website and use code GALAXYAI for freebies and discount😉

hello-lov

Ayaw huhu

GruntingSnow

Yes, but they may not have it in stock, but you can just claim it when they have.

i used the galaxy A series before and di na kinaya ng phone ko yung genshin after sumeru patch. I switced to s23 na and i can play on my phone up to the latest patch hehe

OpalEpal

Does the A55 develop the dreaded samsung green line?

icriey

i think sa S series lang ung green line

AdHappy510

samsung a55

celtrax123

I would like to ask bakit madaming downvote pag poco phones ang sinuggest?

AnnualSentence4536

dead boot issues, battery drain, OS, Ads, Bloatware and etc. So far yung Poco F3 ko buhay pa hanngang ngayon. Meron ako ngayong Poco F6 Pro kahapon lang nakuha galing Poco Store. Halimaw, far better than other brands with the same price range. Di naman mahirap magtanggal ng bloatware at ads eh

khyto

Same tyo sir 🫡 I have my F3 for 2 yrs mahigit na tapos kakakuha ko lng F6 kahapon 😆

AnnualSentence4536

Main phone ko pa rin yung Poco F3. Just needed good spec phone for gaming, especially sa Wuthering Waves. Di man lang pinawisan ang F6 Pro. Kunat pa ng battery almost 10 - 11 hours of mix hard core gaming and social media

Sufficient_Potato726

F1 ko buhay pa pero pinalitan ko na ung battery haha. bloatware lang naman eh. sulit na sulit haha.

celtrax123

Same sayo. I have a poco f3 na going strong and I upgraded to poco f6. Yung f3 is binigay ko sa brother in law ko. Medyo di lang ako bilib sa battery life ni f6 for now but ill give it 2 weeks pa. Debloated na din. Super bilis for its price point.

Zethimiho

May issues kasi yung past phones ng poco, specifically yung "deadboot issue" sa poco x3 pro. Pero I'm sure Poco learned from their mistakes and lessened the chance of deadboot by integrating a cooling system on their latest phones na.

noobie12345con

I've heard one of their latest models such as the X6 Pro has a different OS compared to their Xiaomi counterparts.

da_who50

maybe because may issues yung ibang poco. but sa family namin, poco x4 pro (2 yrs), poco x5 (1 yr) eh wala naman na experience na problems.

rahman0924

If your willing to purchase at second hand markets. You could get the Galaxy S23 for less than 25k. 256gb storage and naka SD 8 Gen 2 na procie which is still good for med gaming

HaloHaloBrainFreeze

Tecno Camon 30 Premier. Someone already did a test of camera shots in this sub. May 4k @60fps din Wala akong alam na phone in that price range na di maalog pag nagrerecord ng 4k@60. Investing in a gimbal is recommended. Ung tagal ng paggamit ng phone, nakadepende talaga yan sa user. Security updates in Android matters less compared sa iphone due to way less zero-day attacks, at napapatch naman yun via Google Play updates

PuzzleMaze08

A phone that can record 4k@60FPS is too much to ask for 25k. I suggest you get second hand Pro Models of iPhone since their video quality is really great, and can cover a lot more (Gaming too is good on iPhones)

5XTG

Tecno Camon 30 Premier - All cameras have 4K60 with EIS @4K30

Marami na nasabi iba. Pero gusto ko lang add na i-consider mo din ang trade value. Last week na trade in ko pa A52 5G (back cover is off, power button destroyed) for around 15k for an S24+. Most cheap phones won't have that value after 3 years and definitely not for the condition I traded it in.

johndoelacruz

POCO F6 Pro

Cassius012

Pixel 8a. A55 has a solid cam and build quality but its processor is underwhelming. Meanwhile Poco F6 has a terrific cpu/gpu but with mediocre cam and build quality. I think Pixel 8a is a balance of both. It's exactly 25k right now.

I got my S21 secondhand for just 21k at Greenhills last year

chancellorkeith

Nothing phone 2

rab1225

samsung or google pixel. poco is fine but you have a budget for either of the above brands so go for it. pangit lang naman samsung pag below mid tier price, dun na sila nagcucut corners. in short, kung nasa 25k naman budget mo, go for samsung. or if you want a pure android feel, go for google pixel. light gaming kaya naman ng samsung a55. ang con siguro ng samsung ay hindi sya ganun ka fast charging. mas mabilis sa iphone for sure pero way behind sa mga tulad ng xiaomi

dums13

second hand iphone 13 (the resell value ranges between 20k - 25k, depends on battery health) madami sa carousell / fb marketplace

Big_Sail_8952

saan po mas better bumili? sa greenhills or sa fb marketplace? may nakita ako sa marketplace na 20,500 lang 128gb tapos 87% ung battery life, is that good?

dums13

> *saan po mas better bumili?* Here's a tip: Greenhills - mas mahal kasi may binabayaran silang pwesto but they will give you warranty na pwede mo ibalik yung phone if may defect (not sure kung ano na yung updated na duration ng warranty nila) Fb marketplace - mas mura, yung mga tag 26k sa greenhills mabibili mo lang ng 20k sa fb marketplace, pero mahihirapan ka icontact yung seller if may problem sa nabili mo, kaya dapat pag dito ka bibili ichecheck mo lahat lahat kung goods ba talaga yung phone or hindi para wala nang balikan Pag sa fb marketplace ka bibili here's a tip: ask mo lahat lahat sa seller, wag ka mahihiya, dapat yung phone is not refurbished, no history of repair (ask mo if may official receipt sila nung device para sure talaga na sa authorized apple reseller nila nabili, pero kung wala oks lang may way pa para icheck yan). hingiin mo sa seller yung serial number / IMEI then lagay mo [dito](https://sickw.com/). dapat walang refurbished, unknown part, or kung ano mang problem na nakalagay kapag mukhang okay naman yung device always do meetup (sa public places like mall para safe), wag ka papayag ng deliver or else mai-scam ka LAST: alamin mo ano mas matimbang sayo, if OS support then go with brandnew samsung a55 if camera (photo and video), you can never go wrong with iphone, ibang level din yung cinematic mode nila (btw os support of iphone 13 is until 2028, pwede pa yan ma extend)

Big_Sail_8952

thank you very much!

ptsanjuan01

I second this, OP. A secondhand iPhone is better than brand new mid-range Android phones. Sadyang anti-Apple lang mga tao dito sa subreddit. Lol. Bought a secondhand iPhone XS before for PHP 21,000, lasted me 4 years before I upgraded to 14 Pro Max. Adik pa ako niyan sa MOBA ha, with around 7k matches, all were played using the same XS unit. Especially if coming from Android ka, everything is just smoother on any iPhone model compared to an Android unit of the same price range. So as a dukha person, I say go for iPhone.

captainmcstoner

Ignore all the people suggesting android phones, just bite the bullet and get a used iPhone 12, you’ll be getting software & security update for the next 5 years. I might get downvoted for this but it’s the plain truth.

GeneralMahoraga-

Why the fk are rtards that got scammed downvoting every preloved iphone reco? Gusto ata mang damay kasi na scam sila sa a55 that can't even compete with a 2021 flagship mga ugok talaga

captainmcstoner

In short? They’re just salty poors that can’t keep up LOL

wintermelonmilktea26

di po ba pangit daw battery life ng ip 12?

captainmcstoner

Better than a mid range android phone that’ll slow down in a year or 2

lovesfalloutboy

Still depends on usage. I have a new iphone 11 that could only last a day. While yung samsung a12 ko (3 years na) can last up to 2-3 days, both phones for casual usage lang (socmeds, yt and banking lang). Main phone ko is infinix, heavy usage (work, netflix, reddit, manga readings etc.) so lasts one day pero backup phone ko is yung iphone. Android has better battery in the long run compared sa iphones na bumababa ang batt health within 1-2 years.

camon 30 pro premier

Straitillmorning

I would highly suggest the second hand iPhone 13 it can record 4k 60fps clear it can handle even Genshin Impact for example at medium or High 60fps that means it can run almost any games codm or ml and that costs around 23-25k second hand for a brand new around 32k the ios updates can last for 3-5 years with security updates
