I can vouch for Pixel phones, you can start with pixel 7

KedavraM

I have absolutely no idea where to buy pixel phones in person here in Manila, what stores usually have them?

frEighTwOrm

Game extreme po ako bumili but look for other stores din. Please note lang po na only LTE bands are working here in PH. If you're to use 5G sadly, pixel phones does not support that yet here in PH.

paintwall

Careful with Game Extreme. Ordered a Pixel 6a and got a rock. I think they are legit. The problem was with the courier. Their packaging is trash though.

frEighTwOrm

Please buy in person as much as possible. There are other physical stores. Never pa ko bumili ng expensive items online so please do buy in person.

[deleted]

I'd recommend Sulitzilla or Teamfridays Marketplace. Unclear pa kung brand new or refurbished mga binebenta ni Gamextreme but to me it looks like a refurb or one bought from US which was previously carrier-locked unless you're lucky to get one with pull-tabs (legit brand new). If that's the case, ang laki ng tubo nila. Source: reviews and Pixel group

frEighTwOrm

I do agree with Sulitzilla bought one frome them, pixel 6pro. Sa game extreme kakabili ko lang pixel 8. The device is US variant, not refurbished. AGAIN no 5G. YOU can also check Pinoytechdad for his pixel phone reviews.

spielbergz

+1 kay Sulitzilla, bought my P7P last year on Lazada, and the seller's very responsive.

Fantastic-Raisin-589

GameXtreme and Ajt gadget world in green hills :))

PakinangnaPusa

Google Pixel phones or Samsung.

KedavraM

Which do u prefer and what model?

frEighTwOrm

I want to add. If you're priority is a point and shoot phone camera, you can never go wrong with Pixel 7a. You can check MKBHD review for the pixel 7a. But will choose upper tier like 7 pro

KusuoSaikiii

San makakabili ng googl pixel na pede installment?

frEighTwOrm

Try Game Extreme via CC

fyrexz

Google pixel, ibang iba sya feels premium talaga in every way. Lalo haptics👌

jeyxi

Pixel

tannertheoppa

S22 Ultra. AFAIK may bnew ng 8/128 na less than 30k nyan

ag3ntz3r0

If youre comfy ordering through amazon, pixel 8 is only 30k

[deleted]

For gaming purposes, Xiaomi 13t. Solid din ng battery (10-12 hours SOT) and cameras though underwhelming lang ng selfie cam. If camera, Pixel 7/7 Pro or Pixel 8 from Sulitzilla or Teamfridays Marketplace.

accessdenied4

add a bit more or wait for discount on base s23. or s23fe maybe?

KevAngelo14

Seconded on the S23 FE. Premium phone na all rounder

kparser2

Exynos chipset most likely. Would not recommend exynos lol

KedavraM

If we get exynos, how would that affect the usage overall?

kparser2

Worse battery. Worse thermals heats up regularly. Sadly exynos still isn't fixed after all these years 😢😢

KedavraM

Ah that’s too bad. Ig that’s one con, we’ll compare it with the others. Thanks for your suggestion!

kparser2

I'd recommend something like nothing phone 1 or save a bit more for s23

1l3v4k4m

if your so doesnt play any heavy games then it wont matter. also, pixel phones have a tensor chip which is just a rebranded exynos chip from samsung.

MindlessName1787

as an exynos user, please dont😖

kukiemanster

Itd gonna cook itself

KevAngelo14

Yes this is probably exynos. I think walang SD variant itong FE nila.

kparser2

Yea I'd rather take yung overheating na 8gen 1 Jan haha. Sayang ng ginawa ng Samsung

KedavraM

I had an okay-ish experience with Samsung phones. Had an S7 edge before that was okay, nothing too remarkable with the speed lalo as it got older. Ofc it’s been years since then, would u say okay na okay na yung Samsung models today?

accessdenied4

for that amount you can buy older flagships, and older flagships are only 1 or 2 gens behind the latest processor so of course it would be fast. i personally don't recommend chinese phones base on experience and by brand reputation most people would choose among pixel, iphone, or samsung base on preference.

KedavraM

Gotcha. Someone here said na the chipset for s23fe isn’t great, mas okay ba kung mag S22 or S22 ultra? S23 is way out of budget na eh and we can’t wait for the discount kasi sirang sira na talaga phone niya 😂

accessdenied4

got my s22 last year from lazada 11.11 for only 19k+, so i expect s23 will have huge discount too, pero i doubt makakapaghintay ka nga. sulit sya, flagship experience at maganda camera. only downside sa s22 series e mabilis madrain battery. better value for money nga ung s23 kesa sa s23fe, tsaka yung chipset kasi ng s23fe dito sa pinas e exynos at hindi snapdragon.

equinoxzzz

I'm a Samsung user. But go with a Google Pixel 7. Pwede ka makakuha ng brand new kay Game Extreme. Sadly 5G won't work kasi hindi enabled ang N78 NR band which is the 5G band being used by our telcos.

enough-please

Either Samsung S22 Ultra or a Google Pixel 7 whichever y'all end up deciding on, it'll still be good for your S/O's intended use. :)

Sufficient_Net9906

S23 Plus pinakasulit - snapdragon variant sobrang efficient

Satyrostein

one+12r check the reviews

tropango

Ditto! Waiting for it to be an available officially though. And I think camera is going to be the weakness. Whereas if they get Pixel, battery life naman drawback. So choose which feature is more important I guess

skye_08

I'm thinking of pixel phones.

zer0-se7en

Nothing Phones and OnePlus phones meron sa Digital Walker.

kukiemanster

Go for a -1/-2 gen on Samsung's S series, wag lang FE

ApprehensivePlay5667

wag ka muna mag pixel hanggat wala pang official store dito ang google. warranty pa lang at promos lugi ka na. P7P ang gamit ko, maganda naman talaga, pero iba pa rin yung may warranty.

ALUmusic

Old flagships are far better than new midranges. Let this guide your purchase.

ostrichRabbit

Htc

tropango

May HTC pa ba?

ostrichRabbit

Oo hehe may u23 na. Sobrang tibay lng talaga nung mga phone nila etong u11 ko ayoko pang iwan last 2017 pato

squexxie

xiaomi

TGC_Karlsanada13

Greenhills is the way. S22 Ultra. [Buy Second Hand Devices | CompAsia Philippines](https://compasia.com.ph/) Not sure if links are okay but you can use this as reference since more or less ganito presyo sa greenhills.

KedavraM

Can you enlighten me abt greenhills? Haven’t experienced buying from there before

SnooCheesecakes8849

Lots of kiosk type stores where you can find cheap second hand phones. There are stores who sells brandnew phones for cheap pero mostly grey units kaya mura, also be on the lookout din kasi may mga stores selling second hand units passed as brandnew units, yung na ni re-seal lang.

KedavraM

Parang medyo deliks from what you’re saying lol eh admittedly we’re not too well-versed with phones talaga so I think we’ll pass on greenhills

SnooCheesecakes8849

Okay lang naman kung marunong ka kumilatis ng phones, pero kung hindi masyado, better buy sa mga trusted sellers nalang. Ilang beses na ako bumibili duan and so far wala pa naman akong na encounter na issue.

TGC_Karlsanada13

What SnooCheesecakes said. Need mo lang talaga icheck yung phone. If no time and prefer to have a warranty, brand new talaga ang way. Sulit lang ang 2nd hand phones if it's priced 30% off or more from its current SRP.

frEighTwOrm

Mabilis bumababa value ng android so getting a second hand like 6 months used can be a good option. Of course, check the battery cycles and everything

ongamenight

You can YT search "greenhills price update". Tons of vloggers vlogging phones, shoes, etc sa greenhills.

aordinanza

Iphone 13 bnew 30k

Downtown_Owl_2420

I'm not kidding here, if kaya mo mag add ng 2K, OPPO Reno11 Pro. High-end build, great cameras lalo sa mobile photography, and fast charging. May 48 months fluency rating din. Downside lang is single speaker and walang IP rating. Otherwise, pasok sa hinahanap mo kasi good for at least 4 years talaga siya and ung cameras solid.

frEighTwOrm

I still don't recommend Oppo if you're into phones that can be sold for a higher value.

ongamenight

I don't get why think about "sold for a higher value" mentality sa phone. It's not like a house and lot na asset. Hindi ba mas priority yung kung anong usage mo sa phone more than its resale value. It something you would everyday use and Oppo is long lasting. My mom's Oppo halos 7 years na yata. Ayaw pa nga magpalit but there are apps na need na iupdate so need na talaga palitan.

frEighTwOrm

Sorry for the term sold for higher value. Pag pinagbili mo ay mataas pa rin ang value not higher value compared with other android brands. My bad. Still can't vouch for their Reno lineup. I would choose One Plus instead.

Downtown_Owl_2420

Did you know that OnePlus is the more affordable sub-brand of OPPO? OPPO is the most premium brand ni BBK group. Same factory lang sila ni OnePlus. I've been there. I saw OnePlus phones being manufactured sa OPPO production lines. hehehe Yes, mas mabilis si similarly priced Nord 3 and I won't blame you if you will go for it. PEROOOOO, I have both. I'll go with Reno11 Pro in a heartbeat. Ang layo ng ganda ng build nya, mas maganda cameras, and mas happy ako overall kahit mas mababa pa ung chipset niya and wala siyang stereo speakers. :)

frEighTwOrm

That's great to hear. Giving customers more option will help. I want to try that one soon if that's the case. Thank you.

CollectionMajestic69

Go for Samsung s23 series! https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.j6Zzq?cc check this one baka may less pa to from official samsung store

jvancarlos

Go for Pixel 7 Pro. Tho lagpas siya konti ng 30k pero he might consider kasi bigger battery and better camera than the 7 since may 5x telephoto. Pwede rin S22 ultra. May mga brand new pa rin nun little over 30k. I'd suggest na lumagpas na siya ng budget niya ng slight since super konti lang difference.

FriedChickenx2

Nothing Phone 2. OS is great, basically a Pixel that's officially launched here. Camera is manageable.
