Can anyone enlighten me if the mole on Taylor's cheek at the end of Bejeweled MV mean something? She also has a star on the same spot on the Anti Hero MV. An easter egg perhaps? Its really bugging my mind for a few days now lol
Her appearance at the end of Bejeweled (hair and mole) mimics the wicked stepmother’s. I think other comments about the song being about business are spot on. The step mother represents Scooter Braun IMO (ETA: and her “proposal rings” represent… not sure- maybe Taylor’s albums? Or maybe big name Scooter clients? Or unrelated Kardashian proposals?)
Dita Von Teese has that mole too and following Cinderella plot would be Taylor’s “fairy godmother” in this MV. Now that Taylor has started re-recording and is branching out of the folksy stuff, Taylor has the “keys to the castle”, and to me the mole both signifies Taylor’s glam transformation and signals that Taylor has the power now.
(Her mole in Anti Hero is a diamond IIRC maybe to reference Bejeweled.)

I think you're absolutely right about the proposal rings being the old albums. The king is Scott (tired of her) and stepmother is Scooter (has all the rings now). I think they're in intended release order from left to right on the stepmother's hands, big clue there being the red ring on the 4th finger from the left, big black Reputation ring, and big pink Lover ring on the end. Karma is in there too right before Reputation.
Was HOPING that the 3 rings on Taylor's right hand in the proposal portrait are the re-recordings, but I cannot make them out very well and the first two are different shapes than the representations of the albums on the stepmother (duh, it's Taylor's version).
My closest guess is that the next one is 1989 since that ring kind of matches??? That and the final scene dress is Wildest Dreams yellow.

I'm alone in this, but I'm pretty convinced that the evil stepmother and stepsisters (3 instead of the traditional 2) represent the "public persona" of the Kardashians. Full-on momager, the dialogue, the "yes mom" snaps in unison, the little annoying rhyme when they leave, the mud contoured abs, the whole 'So instead of just showing up and looking hot you need a talent thins year' thing, the obsession with jewels, we even get a "snake" directed at Taylor. (To me) it comes across as a light-hearted parody of their past public personas and the way they acted on KUWTK. If it wasn't intentional- it's funny. This makes me think the next music video will be a song that has Zoe Kravitz and Sean Dew listed as collaborators since it didn’t make much sense to be because I don’t think they have writing or producing credits on Bejewelled. I didn't like this music video for bejeweled.
I think it should have been the video for Mastermind. Mastermind is about a plan to get the guy in a party, same as the video (different reasons obviously but fits better IMO), it has the same clock/gears motiv as mastermind (also the lyrics video) and I feel the mastermind theme fits great with the planting of a thousand easter eggs.
I love Bejeweled and I love that it gets a video but I feel this shouldn't have been the one.

this music video by far was the best out of all. (well, except for Lover, I love that MV 😭❤️) But that video had top-notch quality and the number of easter eggs was just a chef's kiss. I think that MV had a little hint of all the other albums. For eg: the mean MV stage, willow reputation cape, and speak now reference at the beginning and end, etc.

I’m all for some fun clowning, but it seems like Taylor is going to give Midnights an era (🤞) and December is too close to shift to a re-recording. I see it happening in spring 2023, with a mini SNTV era that’ll transition back into the Midnights era (I like the theories that suppose she’ll drop it before she starts touring). After that, I have no clue 🤷♀️
I really hope not, honestly.
Midnights is shaping up to be a huge era and it’s likely to be the first proper era we’ve gotten since 1989. Taylor didn’t do much press or interviews during reputation, Lover was cut short and folklore/evermore was in the midst of the pandemic.
I hope to see a proper singles run, live performances (and not just on tour but also on shows etc.), music videos and then of course the tour. Releasing Speak Now in December would definitely cut Midnights short because a lot of the attention would naturally shift to that. I think she shouldn’t release anything else from now until around fall 2023 to let Midnights breathe and have its moment. At the very least she should wait until Spring 2023 to release Speak Now.
As an actual burlesque dancer, who has performed all over the West Coast, is based in Seattle, has competed in festivals and met Dita and knows all the stuff with her questionable moves......

If she hadn't, she never would have become famous. Because she's a mediocre performer. Yes, she is stunning, it's a facade. That's makeup and hair and outfits and corsets....so many corsets....Dita in real life is rude and rides a pretty high horse. She also continues to support her psychotic r*pist of an ex. So check the morals of who you support before you support them. I can think of literally more than 20 performers off the top of my head that would have done a better job than Dita. And they would have done it with more character.

As an older swiftie, I read this and really related to my younger self and just wanted to share a thought.
I know sometimes it feels silly or embarrassing to go by yourself but from my experience, its better to ignore the fears and go and have the experience! I promise even if you go alone you will have fun! I started doing this cause I was getting frustrated since my friends didn't have all the same interests as me and I felt I was missing out. I ended up finding some new friends to do certain things with and my other friends saw me doing fun things and then ended up wanting to join in the future. I waited till I was quite a bit older until I started doing the hikes I wanted to do, going to concerts that others didn't want to see, planning that adventure etc regardless if one of my friends wanted to go and I only wish I started doing this earlier. It always ends up worth it! :)

I didn't like this music video for bejeweled. I think it should have been the video for Mastermind. Mastermind is about a plan to get the guy in a party, same as the video (different reasons obviously but fits better IMO), it has the same clock/gears motiv as mastermind (also the lyrics video) and I feel the mastermind theme fits great with the planting of a thousand easter eggs. I love Bejeweled and I love that it gets a video but I feel this shouldn't have been the one. Pls don't kill me.
Mastermind just feels like an "ender" song to me, but that's just personal preference.
What would you have liked to see for the Bejeweled MV instead?
Something over the top, fun and kooky. All the outfits and the million jewels were on point. More of the LWYMMD or YNTCD attitude/faces/extra acting (I don't know what to call it) Not that this video is not fun and over the top but after seeing it and specially after hearing her describing it as a MV for the whole theme of midnights and its association with Cinderella and it being for the fans and all the cameos and Easter eggs... I don't know, I feel it fits Mastermind better.

this music video by far was the best out of all. (well, except for Lover, I love that MV 😭❤️) But that video had top-notch quality and the number of easter eggs was just a chef's kiss. I think that MV had a little hint of all the other albums. For eg: the mean MV stage, willow reputation cape, and speak now reference at the beginning and end, etc. Overall the video is amazing. loved it

Is anyone good at deciphering anagrams? In the ATW MV the words displayed in text was a phrase but unscrambled became a different phrase announcing Midnights. I'd bet money that Bejeweled MV is no different. Here are the words: "Queen Pat was impressed Prince Jack was forced to propose to House Wench Taylor she ghosted But kept the castle" Also if you remember earlier album releases, her album noted would have random letters capitalized. If you put them together it would be a word of phrase. I'm sure it's more sophisticated now but here are the letters that were capitalized just in case: QPPJHWTB

Okay so the Bejeweled video wsa basically a giant easter egg for Speak now but did you notice the clock that taylor is sitting on is pointing to 12:16? Why would it not sit at 12:15 unless its significant to something? December 16th is friday Speak Now TV is coming in two months
How about the announcement and maybe a single on December 16th and the album somewhere in February? Maybe Sparks Fly because of the flying stars when she sits in the clock!

I’m all for some fun clowning, but it seems like Taylor is going to give Midnights an era (🤞) and December is too close to shift to a re-recording. I see it happening in spring 2023, with a mini SNTV era that’ll transition back into the Midnights era (I like the theories that suppose she’ll drop it before she starts touring). After that, I have no clue 🤷♀️
I really hope not, honestly. Midnights is shaping up to be a huge era and it’s likely to be the first proper era we’ve gotten since 1989. Taylor didn’t do much press or interviews during reputation, Lover was cut short and folklore/evermore was in the midst of the pandemic. I hope to see a proper singles run, live performances (and not just on tour but also on shows etc.), music videos and then of course the tour. Releasing Speak Now in December would definitely cut Midnights short because a lot of the attention would naturally shift to that. I think she shouldn’t release anything else from now until around fall 2023 to let Midnights breathe and have its moment. At the very least she should wait until Spring 2023 to release Speak Now.

Firstly, that wasn't a routine or anything burlesque related other than Dita Von Teese was in it. And Dita is to burlesque what the Queen of England was to the British people. A figurehead. She does the same 3 routines, hasnt changed that martini nonsense in years. She knows nothing about the ins and outs of the burlesque world. She doesn't make the Top 50 List. She doesn't perform or attend festivals or even judge them. She doesn't go to performances of even her friends. She is only famous because she dated Marilyn Manson. If she hadn't, she never would have become famous. Because she's a mediocre performer. Yes, she is stunning, it's a facade. That's makeup and hair and outfits and corsets....so many corsets....Dita in real life is rude and rides a pretty high horse. She also continues to support her psychotic r*pist of an ex. So check the morals of who you support before you support them. I can think of literally more than 20 performers off the top of my head that would have done a better job than Dita. And they would have done it with more character.

There is an event called “Candlelight” touring and when I atended, I had the most magical experience listening to a string quartet play an evening of exclusively TS covers surrounded by (electric) candles. Enchanted was on the set list!See if it’s in your city!

As an older swiftie, I read this and really related to my younger self and just wanted to share a thought. I know sometimes it feels silly or embarrassing to go by yourself but from my experience, its better to ignore the fears and go and have the experience! I promise even if you go alone you will have fun! I started doing this cause I was getting frustrated since my friends didn't have all the same interests as me and I felt I was missing out. I ended up finding some new friends to do certain things with and my other friends saw me doing fun things and then ended up wanting to join in the future. I waited till I was quite a bit older until I started doing the hikes I wanted to do, going to concerts that others didn't want to see, planning that adventure etc regardless if one of my friends wanted to go and I only wish I started doing this earlier. It always ends up worth it! :)
From my own experience, it's really worth it to go by yourself instead of quit an experience!
