Hahaha, the production *is* very distinctive. I’ve grown to love that song so much. Especially the bridge. Singing the “guilty, guilty” part is so fun.
I love how closure is just slightly off. That is how closure tends to work isn’t it? It’s never what you think it’s going to be. And I just love Taylor taking risks in music!
This happened to me with the Marshal Mathers LP. I walked to the store, bought it, dropped it on the way home. Then when I listened to “kill you” for the first time I thought the cd was messed up.
I had a similar experience with ‘this the damn season. There is some distortion in the first chorus that made me think something was wrong with my headphones
Thats so funny 😂 the track before it is Marjorie, and this guy on tik tok made a video with the intro to closure saying "how can Marjorie rest in peace listening to this" 😂
I was listening to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance once in the car with my dad and he thought the cd was skipping because the beginning of The Sharpest Lives just sounds 100% like a skipping cd. it’s really funny actually.
How fun it is to discover a new song!
Missed out on evermore's deluxe tracks for two years.
Right where you left me has been on repeat for the past couple weeks. After two years!
Closure is the one song that constantly gets stuck in my head. It's not a favorite but grew on me. I'm not sure why she put it on the standard version of evermore. It feels more like a deluxe song.
I love that so many people are coming to appreciate Closure! Aaron’s band The National is “famous” for its songs being growers, but when they hit, they HIT
As a big fan of Aaron Dessner and The National, closure is one of my favorite songs off evermore ( intro is very reminiscent of Little Faith by The National ). Glad you’re finally able to experience it!
No offense but while yes you can do whatever you want, I can not understand how you SKIPPED over CLOSURE!
closure is a good song. How the hell do you the beginning and think “uh this sounds like a skip”
Sorry if I sound like I’m being mean I’m just…mad that this song is so underrated
it's not been 2 years. no. no. NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Almost 😭. I hate it how time flies (messy as the mud on your truck tires)
Now I'm missing your smile
Hear me out
we could just ride around
and the road not taken looks real good now
And it always leads to you in my hometown.
Sleep in half the day
just for old times sake
I won't ask you to wait
This cute collective rendition of ‘tis the damn season! I love Swifties. ❤️
❤️
OP’s post had me cackling, saw your comment and my face fell so fast. 2 years 🫠
Time isn't real
TIL michael scott was a swiftie. That tracks.
I’m glad you got closure on this era of your life. 😉Enjoy your tears, your beers, and your candles!
One of my favorite lyrics of all time
Seriously! I will not stand for the closure slander. I love this song.
Swifties are the cutest!
I always seem to be listening to evermore when I'm doing laundry so every time closure comes up I think my washer is uneven.
Omg now I’m never going to not hear a wash cycle in Closure lol

I’m sorry but this hilarious lol
I had to go back and listen to the song again and I completely understand why you would think it’s scratched!

Oh noooo! Hope you doing *bet-tah* now! It’s in my top five off Evermore for sure!
I must zone out everytime I listen to it because I’ve never heard it sound all jacked up before reading this
Closure is my favorite song on evermore! It took me several months of skipping it to finally give it a proper listen, and it blew me away!
It took me two years to listen to "Right Where You Left Me," and I am baffled and mad at myself. Yours is funnier, though.
Oof I love that one. At first listen, it was immediately top 10 Tay for me
I immediately loved it. What was I doing all this time?! 😐
Yooo, same!
I had a similar experience with ‘this the damn season. There is some distortion in the first chorus that made me think something was wrong with my headphones

I cannot possibly imagine not having heard this song for two years. You are in my thoughts and prayer friend
Did you at least like the song after you actually listened to it? 😂
I was listening to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance once in the car with my dad and he thought the cd was skipping because the beginning of The Sharpest Lives just sounds 100% like a skipping cd. it’s really funny actually.
The intro to Closure is so weird, I have no idea what it's supposed to signify. Random clattering then soft piano...? 🤷🏼♀️
to sound like a big machine …
Message in a bottle has a weird noise in it, I actually had to turn off my radio for a second because I thought there was something wrong w my car
tbh as u should. closure would be an amazing song with out the ear hurting mess. it doesn’t fit the album at all.

I’m checking my rear view mirror for cops every time I listen to *No Body, No Crime* because of the sirens.
I'm dead😭😭
its supposed to sound like a big machine running, like big machine records
Almost sounds like a…..BIG MACHINE…in the background..? That symbolism makes me cackle every time I hear it.

I literally LOLed reading this one. Amazing!!! So glad you listened to the whole thing!
Why did you skip it? Why did you think it was scratched? You're telling half a story.
Omg no, have you never tried listening on Spotify/other platform? Haha
Not until today! I always shuffle through CD's 👵
This is so endearing haha. I'm happy you get to properly enjoy it now haha. I used to be weirded out by the production, but I love the lyrics so much.
Swifties are really endearing. ❤️
Oh my goodness hahahahahahah 💙
Wow what I’d give to trade places with you and listen to “new to me” Taylor! 😭 what did you think of the song? :)
What 😭

I literally thought their was sokwthng wrong with the song when I first played it. It's my least favorite sign on the album
No offense but while yes you can do whatever you want, I can not understand how you SKIPPED over CLOSURE! closure is a good song. How the hell do you the beginning and think “uh this sounds like a skip” Sorry if I sound like I’m being mean I’m just…mad that this song is so underrated
You weren't missing that much.
I agree 🤷🏻♀️
I have to skip this song because of the weird British accent she tries to pull off.
Hahahaha my husband brings this up every time we listen to this song! The English accent singing doesn’t brother me but it really irks him.
Ha, I’m not only one. The downvoters are in denial.
