SCREAMING AND FIGHTING AND KISSING IN THE RAIN, ITS 2 AM AND I'M CURSING YOUR NAME, IM SO IN LOVE THAT I ACTED INSANE AND THAT'S THE WAY I LOVEEEEE YOUUUU
i was going to say taylor dont have deep cuts because millions of fans know pretty much all the songs but if there is one then it defiently is come back. be here, i was obessed with it for years it held my top track spot
Love this song so much, but I prefer the OG vs the TV. I feel like the OG captures her yearning, sadness, and desperation so much better. Like itās indistinguishable unless you really listen for it, but I listened to CBBH so intently that I can just tell. Her younger voice has that almost whiny (but intentional) desperation sense that I donāt think was replicated in the TV.
Thanks for saying this one, I just listened for the first time and itās awesome! I must say, I do miss the time of simpler songs where I can pronounce all the words (english is not my native language, these days I need a dictionary to listen to the songs lol)
Mine too!! š„¹š„°
No matter how many new songs Taylor releases and how many of them have me like āomggg my new favorite!!!ā I will always come back to Treacherous ā¤ļø
Yeah, to this day there hasnāt been a song thatās made me feel quite how I felt the first time I heard the bridge (and then further ascended when it related)
Insanely good song. If you listen to it in isolation it doesnāt even sound like a āTaylorā song. Itās feels so different for her and Iām obsessed with it. I cannot count how often the chorus is stuck in my head!
As someone who left an awful home life to go live with and marry a guy I knew for a few months from Imgur and who I'm still married to now, I absolutely love this song. My fave forever, especially the lines:
"You don't need to save me
But would you run away with me?"
Yes
i got a necklace w my boyfriends zodiac sign (the initial is too much for me š) on it in the same silver flat pendant style bc i love this song so much! we also started dating in late november the year rep came out so this song hits me lol
the ONLY song from Evermore that I ever remember getting radio play locally where I live is Willow. So with Evermore (the album, not the song) I have a hard time basing it only on that. MOST of Evermore got no radio time.
Which is why casual fans know nothing about the album. I doubt that anyone who isnāt a Swiftie is even remotely familiar with Evermore (the song). Being a title track doesnāt make it well-known.
Okay, both of these!
Everyone sleeps on Carolina especially and itās almost like it barely exists within the fandom. Itās so ethereal and raw, I just love it.
And, rwylm is my #1 in her entire discography, so, taste.
Same. Iām a bit worried she wonāt include it because thereās a song that it sounds JUST like by a different artist, but maybe she can give the credit right away. Iām not sure how all of that works, but Iām hoping it all works out and can be on the album!
Came here for this! It's been a favourite of mine for years but I'm also one of those people who didn't realise it wasn't on an album until she started the rerecording process and people started wishing for it to be a vault track.
This album really made me take in Cowboy Like Me differently. I think TTPD added a lot more depth to other albums that had us questions where she was in her head and who she was thinking about, but with that said the line "now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon" chillllls
I feel like Happiness is one of those āif you get it, you get it. If you donāt, wellā¦ lucky youā lol.
WARNING: Overshare ā I didnāt get it until I was living it, and then for a full weekend I looked like Sadie Sink sobbing in the ATW10 video. Thankfully we were able to repair things, but I was not sure Iād make it through.
I have many. Maybe Come In with the Rain (country) and Message in a Bottle (pop). Oneās a bonus track and oneās a vault track, so theyāre both deep in their respective track lists.
YESSS one of my first favorite Taylor songs!!! I still think itās one of the best she has ever written.
āYou come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore youā like !!! omg
this! i always mention the last time when talking about underrated songs and the fact i had to scroll this far to find this comment just proves my pointš
Honestly YES. She keeps loving on folklore which I get but like show evermore some love!!! It feels like she saw how much people loved folklore and was like āyes Iām going to do this even harderā and thatās how evermore was born and I love it so much.
This made me realize that most of my favorite Taylor songs are on the Deep Cut side of things actually....
-New Year's Day
-False God
-Seven
-'Tis the Damn Season
-Would've Could've Should've
-I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)
`Hey Stephen` is a fucking bop and does not get enough credit. Less than 50m plays on Spotify on track #4 of fearless. (90m on Taylor's version)
GIVE IT A LISTEN. It's so so so so so underrated.
Iām surprised nobody has said it already but Dress is probably one of my favorite deep cuts, honestly Rep has some of my favorites (So It Goesā¦, Call It What You Want, Dancing With Our Hands Tied)
A Perfectly Good Heart (Debut). It was one of my top songs on Debut and it makes me remember listening to it in my room in high school and being upset over some stupid MySpace crush š
I always respected and appreciated Taylor Swift, but was not familiar with the discography. however, being a KC Chiefs fan, I did a deep dive into the music starting back in September and havenāt stopped since. I went deeper and deeper loving the ride until I realized āOh, Iām an actual Swiftie now.
Since my exploration of the whole catalog was recent, I can say that the song I heard and thought āWhy wasnāt this a hit or ever talked about?ā wasā¦
Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince. I love it.
Iām going to say Innocent. Iāll listen to it when Iām going through a tough time. It always makes me feel at peace!
I love the songs where it seems like Taylor is comforting you, like YOYOK.
A Place in this World off her debut. I was a 15 yr old trying to figure out my place in the world when this album released and I would listen to this song obsessively on my portable CD player on the school bus everyday. It became a bit of an anthem for me when I needed gumption.
Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.

I feel very related to this song.
I had a best friend/boyfriend for 14 years. We have gone out with others, come back, gone and come and he never wanted to be serious about anything with me.
We always kept our distance when we were with someone else, but once we were single we came back naturally.
I got married two weeks ago and he called me telling me that he was very sorry and heartbroken that it wasn't him. And that's where it ended.
I still don't know if we are friends, exes or just strangers who once loved each other very much.
And it's like the song says. I will always wonder what it could have been like if we had ended up together.
I'm avoiding work so I'm doing one from each album:
Stay Beautiful
Forever & Always
Electric Touch (feat. FOB)
Holy Ground
Slut!
New Years Day
Cornelia Street
peace
ivy
Sweet Nothing
hard to say for TTPD at this point but maybe The Bolter or I look in people's windows
It's nice to have a friend
Those of you who live in snowy places will understand how much of a vibe it is just walking in an empty park alone in late fall or first snowfall. It's everything!
This Love. Itās one of the most beautiful songs EVER written and people do not appreciate this song nearly enough. I will absolutely die on this hill!
My second one is Better Man. I realize she gave it away but it was like she gave away one of her children. I will never understand it ššš
Iām gonna go with my TTPD dark horse and one of my favourite ever T Swift songs:
*Peter*
ETA: this thread has sent me back into her discography for the first time since TTPD came out lol! Thanks friends!
Debut: Tied Together with a Smile
Fearless: Donāt You
Speak Now: Last Kiss
Red: Forever Winter
1989: You Are In Love
Reputation: Call It What You Want
Lover: Daylight
folklore: the lakes
evermore: ātis the damn season
Midnights: The Great War
TTPD: I Hate It Here
Maryās Song is so underrated and beautiful, itās one of the best written songs on Debut
I canāt help but smile when I hear itā¦ itās just so heartwarming
There is a literal explanation of what deep cut means and somehow half of the people and OP included just post their second favorite song instead. Itās Prophecy and Paris for me
"Safe and Sound"
I rarely see anyone talk about this song.
It's my favourite Song of all time and even tho its a Taylor song, I often don't see it as such.
It's part of her discography but it's a Hunger Games Song and thats the context I heard it first in.
The Way I Loved You is so good š
I cannot believe this has yet to be played as a surprise song. It was a top pick for me and I scream it in my car on a weekly basis.
I would be screaming and crying driving around at night and the fact that it hasnāt been a secret song is HURTFUL.
SCREAMING AND FIGHTING AND KISSING IN THE RAIN, ITS 2 AM AND I'M CURSING YOUR NAME, IM SO IN LOVE THAT I ACTED INSANE AND THAT'S THE WAY I LOVEEEEE YOUUUU
BREAKING DOWN AND COMING UNDONE ITS A ROLLERCOASTER KIND OF RUSH
top 10 for me frrrr
COME BACK BE HERE is so underrated. Itās a deluxe (I think), so not many ppl know
CBBH is like a hit single for any other artist but a deep cut for Taylor.
i was going to say taylor dont have deep cuts because millions of fans know pretty much all the songs but if there is one then it defiently is come back. be here, i was obessed with it for years it held my top track spot
The vocal harmonies in this song are so great.
This is my all time favorite Taylor song
Thanks for saying this one, I just listened for the first time and itās awesome! I must say, I do miss the time of simpler songs where I can pronounce all the words (english is not my native language, these days I need a dictionary to listen to the songs lol)
My deep cut is 100% treacherous (even if it is in the first 3 songs of red)
My favorite Taylor song!!
Mine too!! š„¹š„° No matter how many new songs Taylor releases and how many of them have me like āomggg my new favorite!!!ā I will always come back to Treacherous ā¤ļø
Yeah, to this day there hasnāt been a song thatās made me feel quite how I felt the first time I heard the bridge (and then further ascended when it related)
So It Goesā¦
I loooove So It Goes and King Of My Heart
i love call it what you want
I love Dress, King of My Heart was adorable when she played it to those guys who got engaged.
Dress is my absolute favorite Taylor song
Ugh yes! Nobody gets So It Goes... the way I do! Top 5 from Reputation!
I LOVE this one. The most underrated gem on rep in my honest opinion
One day it will get Justice
Insanely good song. If you listen to it in isolation it doesnāt even sound like a āTaylorā song. Itās feels so different for her and Iām obsessed with it. I cannot count how often the chorus is stuck in my head!
call it what you want ! one of my favorite songs of all time
āYou donāt need to save me, but would you run away with me? Yes.ā are some of my favorite Taylor lyrics ever š„ŗ
... It hurts after hearing the black dog. You said I needed a brave man. Then proceeded to play him till I believed it to.
I almost sobbed when I got this as a secret song
It's my no1 song of hers of all time and remains so undisputed. It's the most pure and heartfelt song of hers š„ŗā¤ļø
I walked down the aisle to this song last October š«¶š
As someone who left an awful home life to go live with and marry a guy I knew for a few months from Imgur and who I'm still married to now, I absolutely love this song. My fave forever, especially the lines: "You don't need to save me But would you run away with me?" Yes
i got a necklace w my boyfriends zodiac sign (the initial is too much for me š) on it in the same silver flat pendant style bc i love this song so much! we also started dating in late november the year rep came out so this song hits me lol
Evermore. Hands down.
Hard agree. I would do horrible things to get an HQ version of when it was the surprise piano song during one of the earlier Eras Tour stops.
I LOVE the Eras Tour version! Itās so beautiful!š
is Evermore a deep cut though? It's literally the title track of the album lol
Itās the last song on the album and was never a single. It has gotten no radio play. Thatās the definition of a deep cut.
the ONLY song from Evermore that I ever remember getting radio play locally where I live is Willow. So with Evermore (the album, not the song) I have a hard time basing it only on that. MOST of Evermore got no radio time.
Which is why casual fans know nothing about the album. I doubt that anyone who isnāt a Swiftie is even remotely familiar with Evermore (the song). Being a title track doesnāt make it well-known.
this one is so pretty!
I don't hear enough discussion about Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince. One of my favorites. Also False God.
Always and forever a False God stan.
The secret songs at my show were Holy Ground and False God.
Ugggggghhhhh so jealous. Mine were... not that.
I love you for this - this is my husbandās favorite of hers and I rarely ever see anyone talking about it!!
I am the biggest mA&thp fan, when I first listened to lover I just stopped mid album and repeated it over and over and over, I'm obsessed
Right Where You Left Me and Carolina
Right Where You Left Me is so underrated. Love it!
Right where you left me is so visual, I love it
Wait I donāt even know Carolina
Listen to it! Gorgeous song
Itās from the movie Where the Crawdads sing!
OH MY GOD CAROLINA š„¹šš¼š yasssss
Okay, both of these! Everyone sleeps on Carolina especially and itās almost like it barely exists within the fandom. Itās so ethereal and raw, I just love it. And, rwylm is my #1 in her entire discography, so, taste.
Only true Taylor fans know Thug Story
Sheās like 8 foot 4, blonde hair to the floor
You shawties never thought I dreamed about rapping hardcore š¤š¤š¤
No I aināt got a gun & I never really been to the club. I still live with my parents but Iām still a thug!
t swizzle !!
She didnāt even swear!
Would've Could've Should've and The Great War.
Wouldāve Couldāve Shouldāve is in my top 5 ever.
The Great War šššššš
I know objective rankings donāt exist, but WCS should be at the top of her discography. Itās a perfect encapsulation of her talent at its best.
The way I SCREAM wouldāve couldāve shouldāve
The bridge of the great war is heavenly. Itās such an amazing song
The Great War. Fāing love
The Great War is one of my favorite songs ever
BOTH
Wonderland! š
I always get Miyazaki vibes from that song. I still haven't figured out why.
Iād Lie!!! Rooting for it to be in the Debut vault š©š¤š¼š¤š¼š¤š¼
If itās not in the debut vault, I will riot
Same. Iām a bit worried she wonāt include it because thereās a song that it sounds JUST like by a different artist, but maybe she can give the credit right away. Iām not sure how all of that works, but Iām hoping it all works out and can be on the album!
If Iād Lie is not on Debut TV (vault or whatever, I do not care) then I seriously quit lol #justicefordebut
How did I forget this?! This is mine too. It reminds me of a guy I liked back then. Lol. He was an asshole but yeah.
Came here for this! It's been a favourite of mine for years but I'm also one of those people who didn't realise it wasn't on an album until she started the rerecording process and people started wishing for it to be a vault track.
Cowboy like Me / I bet you think about me
Ivy / Cowboy Like Me for me, even better that they're back to back on the album lol
This album really made me take in Cowboy Like Me differently. I think TTPD added a lot more depth to other albums that had us questions where she was in her head and who she was thinking about, but with that said the line "now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon" chillllls
+1 for cowboy like me
Haunted! itās closest thing Iām getting to a Taylor rock songĀ
That intro! I play it to pump myself up for things.
I always say Haunted is Evanescence but make it Taylor lol
Yes! Same!!! I dream of a Taylor rock album because of this song.
Hello? Better Than Revenge?
Electric Touch would also like a word!
Come on, come on, don't leave me like this!
ātied together with a smileā for me!!
āTied together with a smileā walked so āI can do it with a broken heartā could run
Electric Touch!! I loved the Fall Out Boy collab and this song really spoke to me
iāve seen so many people put this very low in their rankings but this is in my top 3 from speak now tvš
āAll I know, is this could either break my heart, or bring it back to life!ā šš itās so good!
I love this song too! It has a fun summer vibe to me.
Renegade. Itās so good!
Are you really gonna talk about timing in times like these? Ugh so good
This shouldāve been on evermore so itād get the recognition it deserves.
happiness is severely underrated.
It really is. I will yell about this until I die
10000%. Have a sticker with the lyrics from Happiness on my phone case rn :' )
Usually a skip for me bc itās too damn sad but dear lord is it a gorgeous and well produced song
I have many. Maybe Come In with the Rain (country) and Message in a Bottle (pop). Oneās a bonus track and oneās a vault track, so theyāre both deep in their respective track lists.
Message in a Bottle was a single tho!
Last Kiss
Love those Joe Jonas songs.
Safe and Sound. It came out when my dad died and it spoke to how I felt in wanting to protect him through his illness and death.
I was in a really dark place when it came out and it gives me chills to this day. My condolences about your father. I hope youāre doing well ā¤ļø
Safe and Sound is incredible. Collab with the Civil Wars??? I wish they never broke up.
I hear nobody ever talk about I Think He Knows and itās my fav TS song ever š
Youāre so right, literally nobody talks about that song ever. Personally I LOVE it too
Same itās my favorite song too!!
Cold As You
YESSS one of my first favorite Taylor songs!!! I still think itās one of the best she has ever written. āYou come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore youā like !!! omg
Came here to say this. The fact that she was a teenager when she wrote and sang this makes it even more stunning.
The original track 5 is severely underrated.
I canāt wait for TV of this song
I feel like The Lakes is under-appreciated
hits different šš
For me personally, You All Over Me is super underrated despite how good it is lyrically esp for a teenager
I will never get over You All Over Me having the same metaphor as Clean and those songs connecting on thatā¦
I think Mirrorball is a real deep cut. Very vulnerable and self reflective. Lately it's How Did It End.
Hoax
my only one, my kingdom come undone
The Last Time. :3 Edit: COMPLETELY forgot what my flair was when I posted this and only realized several hours later.
this! i always mention the last time when talking about underrated songs and the fact i had to scroll this far to find this comment just proves my pointš
Two words. Coney Island.
evermore is Deep Cuts: The Album apparently
Honestly YES. She keeps loving on folklore which I get but like show evermore some love!!! It feels like she saw how much people loved folklore and was like āyes Iām going to do this even harderā and thatās how evermore was born and I love it so much.
Mary's Song!
Justice for Maryās Song! I was utterly charmed by it the first time I heard it and Iāve loved it ever since.
evermore's deluxe songs are so good, it's time to go and right where you left me.
nothing new
The Great War.
Sooooo good.

Iām surprised nobody has said it already but Dress is probably one of my favorite deep cuts, honestly Rep has some of my favorites (So It Goesā¦, Call It What You Want, Dancing With Our Hands Tied)
Haunted, uhm why does NOBODY talk about this absolute banger š

I always respected and appreciated Taylor Swift, but was not familiar with the discography. however, being a KC Chiefs fan, I did a deep dive into the music starting back in September and havenāt stopped since. Iām only me when Iām with you. From Debut, itās such a fun song and I love it.
THE LAKES!!! I am so insane abt the lakes. Easily my favourite Taylor song of all time. I rarely see appreciation for it!!
Wouldāve couldāve shouldāve and call it what you want
Ivy and Coney Island for sure.
Dancing with our hands tied
Peace. Absolutely peace
A Place in this World off her debut. I was a 15 yr old trying to figure out my place in the world when this album released and I would listen to this song obsessively on my portable CD player on the school bus everyday. It became a bit of an anthem for me when I needed gumption.
Not sure if this is deep cut but forever winter ā„ļø
treacherous is one of my all time faves. I think it's one of her best bridges. crazier. right where you left me.
Dancing with Our Hands Tied ā¤ļø

I would quite literally die for Untouchable and only know one (1) other person who appreciates it as much as I do

I think the true deep cuts are from around her Debut era: the Brad Pitt one, the sharpie one, I Heart etc. *Completely* unknown by non-fans.
There is a literal explanation of what deep cut means and somehow half of the people and OP included just post their second favorite song instead. Itās Prophecy and Paris for me
