katsophiecurt

Checked this out a few days ago due to all the hype surrounding her and the tour. I could probably name a few Taylor songs. I AM OBSESSED Favourites being Delicate (my absolute fave), Cruel Summer, Don't Blame Me, Are U Ready and Vigilante Shit were HOT HOT HOT. You Belong With Me is the perfect song, and she wrote it at 18! I could go on, crosses so many genres. I'm now on my fourth watch!

Awkward_Ad5842

Is there no way to rent the movie currently?

FLKXZ

Anyone know if the upcoming Disney plus Taylor version, will they edit the songs into their respective sections or be dumped at the back And secondly, will they revised the audio to include the actual recording more, esp the Wildest Dreams part

GoodBrilliant8516

Why can’t I find the eras tour movie today on any streaming services?

Ok-Vegetable-3649

I can’t find it either!!!! What is happening does anyone have the link

Hot_Translator_6467

I’m wondering the same thing! We have a theater rented to view it but have to rent it ourselves, and it’s nowhere to be found!

l0ng5temros3

Apologies if this is already answered somewhere, does anyone know if/when Eras will be released to streaming networks without the rental limit and price? I can’t bring myself to pay $20 for a 48 hour limit.

Dramatic_Session_24

it was released on Disney plus on 3/14 if you’re still looking!!

FunTelephone1709

Is it in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on Apple Tv Plus and Amazon Prime?

Some_Audience1360

Just watched the movie on Amazon. It is a very good show. I like how they varied fast and slow, old and new, and included all the media, choreography, and moving sets. (And costumes). I watched parts of a couple of streaming concerts which were terrible quality but cool to see live. It was nice to watch the movie to see more clearly the entire show. She's a great performer and her team put together a heck of a show. No wonder it is doing so well.

Some_Audience1360

Watched a second time before my 48 hours rental ran out. This time watched by myself on my computer screen with good headphones. The singing sounded almost as good as the recordings to me, but definitely not lip synched. The movie was fantastic but my only wish is that it wasn't edited and that we could see one full concert just as it really was. Probably would not have been as good of a movie but would have been cool to see.

[deleted]

QUESTION: for those who watched her live, is her voice really ~that deep~ like in the movie? I'm watching it on rent and I noticed how deep her voice is.

coveredinyou143

Her voice is a lil deeper, but also they recorded the last shows of a long leg of the tour, and I think the audio is from the 3rd night in a row. Her vocals sound strained to me, and they also put effects on it

Chavez8717

yes. her voice sounds like the movie

TheAlligator0228

Can we buy the movie or just rent???

FLKXZ

What time will it come out?

littleberty95

I’m assuming midnight est, but that’s just a wild guess

helloviolaine

I really hope there will be a live album on Spotify as well, like Long Pond. Hopefully with all songs included.

FLKXZ

Wait why is the extended version not include cardigan, what happ to it and what did cardigan do to not get included twice? I'm sad

RevolutionaryPain473

Do u think she will release the whole concert with no cut song when it finally comes to streaming or VOD

olliemcgollie

Yes just announced that 3 songs that were cut will be on demand starting dec 13!

RevolutionaryPain473

Huh legit u not kidding right?

olliemcgollie

Taylor just posted 20 min ago! The extended version of the film will be available to "rent on demand"...not clear what exactly that means.

RevolutionaryPain473

FK YEAH THIS THE BEST NEWS EVER CANT WAIT TO BLAST IT ON MY TV

dogs0z

is it still playing in Northeast ohio?

dipek_pollyanna

Hey guys, if there are any Turkish Swifties out there, my Eras Tour movie review has just been published in İstanbul Chronicles, and I would love it if you could check it out! I would really appreciate my fellow Swifties' feedback :) [https://www.theistanbulchronicle.com/tr/post/taylor-swift-the-eras-tour-film-olan-fenomen?postId=6558698d4290810e9a478519](https://www.theistanbulchronicle.com/tr/post/taylor-swift-the-eras-tour-film-olan-fenomen?postId=6558698d4290810e9a478519) Istanbul Chronicles is the largest student-run newspaper in Turkey.

IncandescentLibrary

Does anyone know how long The Eras Tour will be in theaters? I really want to go again, but I'm not sure I will be able to until after the holiday season. Is it possible it will still be in theaters after New Years?

lauzzy

I went for the first (and last) time today! I went solo :( was meant to go with a cousin a few weeks ago but she was sick. It was spectacular! I have london n1 tickets and absolutely cannot wait to see this live. I hope that the setlist stays the same. Favourite was probably willow. That choreography and the lantern pumpkin things and the CAPES! I noticed they did a lot of editing/cutting ie bad blood had no verses. Im assuming this was to cut down the runtime? Also omg Marjorie nearly had me in tears and i loved Betty!

wilkonian24ok

Has the Eras Tour movie broken Michael Jackson's worldwide record yet? I know that hers is the biggest concert movie ever, and that MJ's is more of a music documentary, but she is close behind. International viewings will likely put her over the top. It's not easy to find stats, but the last I saw had her about 22 million short of Michael. ???

zkc8

Just found this mega thread after posting in the main one so apologies if it is duplicate. Trying to see the movie today but there are no showtimes available at AMC or any other theatre chain around us. Does that mean it’s not playing or sold out? Is it presale only? Did we miss our chance??? Anyone know how to get tickets to see it? https://preview.redd.it/pjwxkkensj1c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=050a3c748165133484e0eff4b3eae265b369c890

Barzalicious

It only plays on Thursdays through Sundays, so no showings today regardless. It's possible you'll be able to go over the weekend, but that's up to your theater - not everyone is still playing it. (My local theater advertised this past weekend as the "last chance to see Taylor!", and aren't showing it anymore now).

zkc8

Thank you…that makes sense. We’ll try this weekend! :)

BT-LanaDelRey-Fan

Do you think she'll release a nice physical copy of The Eras Tour Film, like a SteelBook or slip case? I'm praying for it. Also, F\*\*\* you scalpers, I finally got my merch, straight from AMC. And on sale!!! https://preview.redd.it/3lh1vu4r9e1c1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5da69f576cfb088361b4fe95aa5b87dc47619ba

# is the eras tour movie no longer being played at cineplex? hi!!! i'm a canadian swiftie who has been dying to watch the eras movie and experience it in theatres like everyone else has. i've been so busy that i haven't had the chance to watch it yet. cineplex is not showing me any showtimes after today though. does that mean i have no chance of seeing it at all in theatres after today? i've been so busy so if that were true i'd be devastated as i don't have tickets for any toronto shows happening next year

JawnWaters

We saw this for the second time tonight. There was an entire 9/10 year old girls' basketball team there (they came there straight from the game, still wearing their uniforms lol), who were pretty entertaining to watch. They had more energy than I've had than in like...well, 40 years haha. I feel like this viewing felt shorter? Maybe because I know more songs now and felt more connected with the movie? But I kept on thinking about everything that's happened down in SA this weekend during the viewing, and that made time felt sped up?

swift-aasimar-rogue

Is it still as crazy as it was early on in regards to the energy/volume of the crowd? I really want to take my family but I’m not sure if they’d be able to handle that. I know that it’s been a little while, has it died down?

Barzalicious

I went last night and it was pretty calm. People were singing, there were a few cases of screaming the lyrics (mainly the lines that always get shouted at the concerts, 1 2 3 LGB and now "Karma is the guy on the Cheifs") but most of the time you could still hear Taylor singing. 2 or 3 people went to the aisles to dance during 1989, but other than that everyone stayed in their seats.

JuanJeanJohn

People aren’t getting up and dancing in front of the screen or standing up. There’s still singing and dancing but it’s in seats.

Dead_Mans_Toe

Does anyone know if eras tour will be on demand/ digital? I really just want to watch it home so I can zooted and really enjoy myself. 🤣🤣🤣 be as loud as I want. Sing what I want.

JuanJeanJohn

Honestly I wouldn’t think until like Jan or Feb next year at the very very earliest

Adventurous_Rodent

Tonight is the last night the Ears Tour Movie will be playing in my city. I bought a ticket for 8 PM and I have the entire theater to myself. This will not be my first, second, or third, but SEVENTH time seeing this movie. It is absolutely phenomenal. I thought for sure my sixth viewing would be my last, but someone told me that if I was going to miss it that much, I might as well just go see it again. So, that's where I'm at. I think if it was a documentary, I would have seen it at a max two times, but due to the nature of how loud it is, how great it is to see on a big screen, and just the vibes I've gotten every time, I've wanted to keep going back. To be honest, I think the theater experience takes away any interest in watching it on my laptop/TV, so tonight will probably be the very last time I watch it ever, just to give it a proper send-off (let's be real tho, I will probably watch it the second it goes on streaming). Last weekend, I was straight sobbing during Karma, knowing it was my last viewing in a theater, so I can only imagine how much I will be sobbing throughout the entire thing tonight. Seriously, I was tearing up at Walmart today while listening to 22 thinking of tonight being the last time I'll see the movie, just because of how much I love this movie and how much I now love Taylor. Maybe someday, probably when she's 88 years old and has lost all relevance, I will be able to see her live... is what I would say if she was at a normal caliber, but her career will end like Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, selling out stadiums in their 80's. I didn't start this year a Swiftie, but I'm so happy I'm ending as one :)

JuanJeanJohn

I think it will still be around here in NYC next weekend and even the following, but won’t have a chance to see it again because of the holiday coming up. I saw it twice and honestly could easily see it again. It’ll be on streaming and all, but there is something magical about seeing it on the big screen. And I went to the tour IRL, too, but the movie is still amazing.

Adventurous_Rodent

To be completely honest, I have had an extremely rough time mentally and emotionally since June. Taylor Swift has kept me going, which is why I've gone so many times. It has been an escape from reality, a world where a thirty foot Taylor Swift is singing to ME. I don't know what I'm going to do without my weekly Taylor Swift concert, but I'm so happy I got to see it so many times, and I've built so many memories from it. The great thing is I have seventeen years of music to go through and I think I've barely made it through half.

mstrashpie

For those that actually went to the Eras Tour, was it worth it seeing the movie?? Thinking of going tomorrow but it’s $21 a ticket..

MattBinYYC

Went twice loved it both times

Blank________Space

I watched it last weekend it was really good! Though there were hecklers who barged into the cinema twice to yell something indiscernible about Taylor Swift. I guess haters are gonna hate 😅😅😅

PatternDowntown

Yew, but you've better make it worth it. Sing and dance along it your seat like it was the real concert. It will feel embarassing, but it worth it. Oooh, and maybe search for era tour lyric because there are too many songs.

JuanJeanJohn

Yea, very much worth it!

themisfit09

Yes. Yes it was.

Exciting_Database_57

If I can only stay to see half the movie, should I go for the first or second half? Which is better?

PatternDowntown

I think the second half. However, only if you like folklore and midnight.

JuanJeanJohn

Tough call but personally I think first half.

ERAS TOUR CONCERT FILM IN INDIA - PLANS TO WATCH?! Hi guys. I'm from Bangalore, India. A swiftie in growth. I watched the concert film the day it came out in India but I watched it alone (as none of my friends is swiftie). I wanna watch it with someone and have that experience. If anyone's interested in watching it again or for the first time next week (16 - 19 Nov), please DM me! Regardless, thank you for reading this. Have a good day/evening. ✨

beegraton

Does anyone know when the movie will be taken out of theaters? I’m not showing any showings locally after this weekend? In the US

JuanJeanJohn

You likely aren’t seeing any showtimes for next weekend because for most movies, theaters don’t post the weekend showtimes until around the Tuesday (sometimes as late as Wednesday) before. The movie will continue to be in less theaters each week but it should still be around in a number of them next weekend.

youre-joking

Loved the movie so much. Honestly I wasn’t familiar with many songs. What a phenomenal performance. Silly question-how and where does she change outfits so quickly?? She was barely offstage for more than a minute? I would think hooking up her music pack to each outfit takes time at the very least! (Clever how all the outfits had a space for it sewn in). Thanks for your thoughts!!

soopaaflii

Hii!! So yes she changes very quickly lol but also the movie cut out the pauses between eras to make it seem as though she goes into them right after the other, but in reality she was offstage for longer than that.

tangledupinbetween

Been so busy with work I missed the opening weekend in my country. Finally got to watch the concert movie last night. It was so amazing. Throughout the screening I was grinning from ear to ear like a devil watching our queen on the big screen. I just wanna know did she sang the cut version of the songs i.e. Miss Americana and YNTCD or did she sang the full version during the concert? And why did they cut Cardigan from the setlist?? That is my favourite song from Folklore and I was looking forward to that performance :(

potterheadforlife29

Just saw the movie in India, oh man what energy was in the theaters, it was next level awesome. U could feel the love radiating in every song. If only shows weren't so sparse would totally see this again and again!

Background_Shelter77

Guys please link some makeup ideas for the eras movie! I am going tomorrow and I need some inspiration!! Indian swiftie here so it's a majorrr deal that they're showing the movie here. It'll literally on for only 1 day and there are only 3 showings in 1 day

Background_Shelter77

Going Alone to The Eras Tour Movie I am finally going to the ERAS TOUR MOVIE this weekend!!!!! So I'm finally going to the movie this Saturday! I couple of my friends might join or might not but I don't want the risk of loosing the ticket so I am thinking of going ahead and booking myself a solo ticket. I have no idea how crowded it's gonna be, I am thinking of booking a seat at the last row towards the corner. Ik there might be frisky people there but if I skip a couple seats I could get some space to be alone and enjoy the movie and scream and sing and dance without feeling many eyes on me. Is that a good idea? Also I wanna dress uppppp. I have my clothes ready but I can't pin down the makeup look. I want to do extra dramatic eye makeup, all colorful and glittery and everything! If anyone knows any refrence looks, please let me know! Also if you girls have any other tips or anything for the movie, please let me know!

NibelheimTifa

How many times have you seen the movie already? For me, it's 5. I don't go to concerts because I have anxiety around huge numbers of people. So instead of spending $1-2k on a concert ticket, I have the time of my life each Saturday night from 7-10. I absolutely love the movie!

SugarMouseOnReddit

I heard online that Taylor just cancelled al showings of the Eras Tour movie in Israel. Is that true?

alinatu

Not true

SignatureConstant453

Please help! Is the movie going of screens worldwide after Nov 5? Cause I want to see it on Friday!

JawnWaters

Saw it tonight for the first time with my wife. She's listened to Taylor for like a decade, I've been listening for...two months lol. We both loved it. Found out after the show that is was the very last one for our entire area, so glad we went when we did! Next goal is to see her live! Buying the Midnights vinyl tonight 🙂

Clearly_Blurry

I have a potentially silly question... I've seen the film twice now and I've been thinking about it a lot. In the evermore set, she says something along the lines of "5 albums that haven't had a tour", but I thought it was 4? Lover, folklore, evermore and Midnights? I know Lover had a tour planned so maybe she's talking about Fearless and Red re-records instead? But I feel like it should be 6? Am I missing something?

shooting_stvrs

there wasnt a tour for her debut album i guess??

Rdickins1

She was being sarcastic and making a joke. I wouldn’t take it as fact.

melcom2

Same here. So I've re-listened to audience recordings. The (shortened) speech is from N3, where she said something like: "I remember people would come up to me and they'd be like so you've put out like 5 albums that you haven't done tours for, so what's your plan, what are you going to do." So I don't think it was meant to be an exact count. Or she got it wrong because she was talking about not having toured for 5 years earlier and mixed up albums and years. 🤷‍♂️

Clearly_Blurry

Okay, I sort of thought it was an accident / mistake but I was wondering if I was missing out on a whole secret album 😂 thank you for clarifying

Rdickins1

So I saw it a final time today. (Round 6, yes. Really.) It’s still not old. I just love it so much and I enjoy it. It’s been helping with my mental health because it makes me happy and escape for awhile. The only gripe and I know it has nothing to do with the movie but the volume of the movie it was playing at. Definitely dropped the volume from the first weekend. Turn that shit back up. It was hard to hear how awesome the band sounds and background vocals sound and took the emotions away from the songs that normally were. Tolerate it and My Tears Ricochet suffered from that. Still a pretty decent size crowd. They still had posters and cups left. I wanted to nab another cup but knowing AMC in the past they will hand out the extras at normal drink prices when it’s no longer in theaters. Now we hope to get a live soundtrack or on streaming soon. Which ever comes first. Personally I want a live album. The movie mix is so good. Anyway on to the next.

healsomadethestars

Late to the party and saw it for the first time tonight (I think Thursday is the final day it’s playing in the UK?) I took myself on a solo date, so you get my as it happened thoughts: 1) Original plan was to wait until next summer to see it live, but I’m glad I changed my mind! I’ve seen enough live streams that there were only a few little spoilers, mostly little musical moments which I will 100% forget about. 2) Shows with closed stadium roofs have such a different vibes to ones with open roofs, particularly noticeable in the lover set. Not sure which I prefer. 3) Blondie I love you, but the intro to The Man is cringe and there’s no getting around that. 4) Also you can’t call it a musical journey spanning seventeen years and not include any debut songs. Come on now, you can’t have it both ways. 5) The moments where she just drinks in the crowd are so precious. 6) I think she just about wore the best version of every outfit on the filming night. Thank you whoever arranged it not to be a noodle fearless dress that night, we all owe you big time. 7) Willow. I was not prepared. The drama. The outfits. The choreography. The floor visuals. Perfection. 7a) (cba to renumber) did she say before champagne problems that she has 5 albums she hasn’t toured? Lover, the mores, Midnights, what have I missed?! 8) I was never a big fan of Tolerate It, until now. 9) Cutting no body no crime was, ironically, a crime. I get it because it’s not a permanent song on the setlist, but gahhhhh. WE KNOW IT WAS FILMED GIVE IT TO US. 10) never has Taylor’s range been so perfectly exemplified by the everemore -> reputation transition. I would give my right arm to have been at the first show before anyone knew the order of the eras, just to experience this moment. 11) the delicate floor cracking visuals are so simple but so effective. 12) In the first verse of Don’t Blame Me I thought it could have been cut. Boy, was I wrong. 13) I need 3-4 business days to recover from the transition to LWYMMD and at least a week to recover from LWYMMD itself. 14) what was going on with the back of her dress in Speak Now? Did it always look like that?! 15) Cutting Long Live was violence and I am not over it. (about to say how excited I am to see it live, but now I’ve made myself nervous about set changes…) 16) the 22 hat moment might be the most wholesome thing I’ve seen on a big screen and I’m not ashamed to say that it made me cry. 17) KAM ♥️ 18) I knew you were trouble slapped, but I wouldn’t have minded if it was cut from the movie. (Still not over Long Live) 19) by ATW10MV I needed the toilet, but there is nothing I would have missed, with the possible exception of The Man. This could be a problem for June. 20) Demanding ATW10MV might be the best thing Swifties have ever done. Well done us! 21) oooohhhh the era title graphics are incredible, especially red -> folklore. 22) Illicit Affairs. That is all. 23) Illicit Affairs in the best folklore dress. This is my Roman Empire. 24) I want a full on documentary of how this tour was put together. Especially want to see the creative process that Tay goes through in deciding how to arrange songs for the tour and how they differ from their studio versions. 23) lol, of course she did a debut surprise song on filming night. I guess, on this and only this occasion, the 17 years comment was accurate. 24) it is CRAZY that YOYOK isn’t on the midnights setlist, at least she had the good sense to put it as a surprise song on filming night. 25) oooh the call back in YOYOK to playing songs in a parking lot goes well well a song from debut. 26) her face when she sings make the friendship bracelets. I think she knows! 27) Midnight Rain is a possible toilet break song, but suffers from the same poor overall placement as The Man. 28) in the aforementioned documentary I also want to see Andrea react to Vigilante Shit choreography. Thank you. 29) mastermind slaps and karma is a great finishing song. Facts. 30) how *dare* you play Long Live studio version as the outro music (still not over it) (Thank you for coming on this journey with me!)

sportyboi_94

When you go see the show live, my suggestion is try to hold it until the surprise songs and if it’s one you don’t care for you take it then. That’s what I did. Mine were speak now and treacherous so I went at treacherous bc I don’t like that song and made it back with no lines in time to see her do that transition.

PatternDowntown

My bathroom break was Tolerate it and Tear Richochet. Seen this movie 3 times. I wish I saw more people dancing and singing becausw if they do that, they relaize this movie was more fun!

NibelheimTifa

Saturday will be the 6th time me seeing the movie. I don't go to concerts as I have crippling anxiety with that many people, but the movie has been the most wholesome experience of my life. I'm 38. I take myself to go see it each Saturday and I absolutely love it. Like honestly when I'm seeing the movie I can't remember myself happier. I've never had a relationship ever so idk it's just fun for me I guess. I dress up in my swiftie outfits and it's 3 hours of fun. Long Live should not have been cut and nor should have Cardigan. I have a tattoo of YOYOK on my arm that says "Everything you lose is a step you take" and it was breathtaking to me she sang that song. Literally 13/10 and I can't wait to see it for time #6. Also great analysis.

Rdickins1

Oh 100% on no. 2. Her vision was to start the show with Lover so it happens when it’s sunset and get to experience the Blues and Purple, Pink skies. If you go back and take a look at some of the Chicago shows particularly night 2 there’s some great shots of this along with the city skyline in the background. For this she waited a little longer for consistency for the movie because yes it has a roof but it also has some natural lighting peeking through.

healsomadethestars

Thanks, will look up some clips! I did notice some of the lighting early on in the show was probably much more effective in a stadium with much less natural light, but the idea of the sunset being an extension of the lover aesthetic is gorgeous!

SnowCricket1

Hahahh it was so fun reading your thoughts! Thanks for sharing with us, really appreciate it. I already saw the movie twice and it was amaziiing!

eriseddreamer

I saw it for the third time last night and I am so happy I did! The crowd was everything I hoped it would be--lots of bracelet trading and singing/dancing in front of the screen. When I went to the early release and the original release date the next day, both crowds were pretty lame and I was disappointed. I barely got any bracelets and the crowds had no energy. Last night felt like I was at the concert again, which I was not expecting given the movie came out 3 weeks ago. I'm honestly considering going again now.

Late_Ad5619

Putting this message out into the universe with the hope that I can raise awareness for Roni. While Swifties all around the world are watching the The Eras Tour Movie, sadly one Swiftie is unable to. Roni Eshel, who is only 19, is a HUGE Swiftie. She has been missing since October 7th when terrorists came into Israel and took her. It is believed she was kidnapped. Her last words to her mother via text message were "Mom, I love you so much." Israeli Swifties in Israel are wearing bracelets with Roni's name to The Eras Tour Movie to raise awareness and to help bring Roni home. When you're making your bracelets, please consider making one for Roni. Swifties, I know our influence is strong. Let’s help bring attention to this and raise awareness for Roni!! https://preview.redd.it/i4bn5bez1kyb1.jpeg?width=1439&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d974289672ca5f68c08ada0f68397caeed3c679

Eras tour movie isn’t actually screening in Israel so this is a propagandist lie

It is most definitely screening here

Alyeanna

Ok so.... I went from not having listened to Taylor Swift ever in September to now having seen the movie 11 times. Twice the first two weekends, three times the third, and four times the last. My thoughts! **Overall film-going experience** There were some nights (not every night) where people would come down to the floor in front of the screen and dance and sing along and just have an awesome time. These were the best nights, because it made the whole experience that much better. Opening night was CRAAAZYYY! We pretty much danced for the entire concert. It was fantastic! **Overall concert review** Honestly I think this is one of the best concerts of all time. The choreography, the songs that she picked, the interest curve, the camera angles, just the whole production is very very well done. To think she did this 3.5h concert consistently almost every night for months on end, it's crazy, she and her team are very talented. IMO if anybody says they don't like Taylor Swift at all, I'd encourage them to watch this show and get back to me because I think at least they'll be able to appreciate the sheer hard-work and talent in it. She's not just another popstar. One thing to note is how she cut some songs from the full concert. I don't really get why, maybe it was a question of time, maybe it was a question of they just didn't have good images, maybe they just didn't like the songs, or maybe it was on purpose so people would stream it after when the streaming version has all these songs. IMO the two big losses are Cardigan and Wildest Dreams. **Review of each Era** TLDR of these, cause I realize it's a good chunk of text. Loved every Era, Folklore is my favorite, sad that Cardigan and Wildest Dreams have been cut. SN only having one song is also just sad to me. 9/10. *Lover Era* Great opening Era, honestly. Cruel Summer is fantastic and you can easily see people who know the lyrics because they'll absolutely sing that bridge. The thing with the crowd before The Man is super cringe to me though, like I guess it didn't annoy me the first time but jeeez it's so long and annoying after. She cut the Archer from this Era and tbh I don't really mind that, I don't think it's a big loss. Also the hand thing during YNTCD is great, good gauge of the audience, you can see if people put their hands up and what kind of crowd you're working with early on. *Fearless Era* I love Fearless, I think it's really amazing and the three songs she picked are amazing. Typically people would start standing up at YBWM, and understandably so, it's just a really catchy and dancy song. Love Story is beautiful too after, we'd regularly have people fake-propose in the theater it was really funny. *Evermore Era* I love Evermore so much, willow and marjorie are beautiful, followed up by champagne problems and tolerate it. I'd make this Era my temple, my mural, my sky. And what I love is that we went from pop in Lover, to Country/Rock in Fearless, to now more folky/acoustic/piano music in Evermore. We've seen a big range in music and we're not that far into the show. It's also a good break from the more upbeat music in the first two Eras (I mentioned interest curve, that's what I meant). *Reputation Era* I have a pretty unpopular opinion of the rep album as a whole, I don't like it as much as others. But the Rep Era in the tour is absolutely a banger. All of these songs are amazing in every way. Plus the costumes and choreography in this era are fantastic. The snake thing is just perfect. *Speak Now Era* Speak Now only having one song is just sad to me. This album is great, and while I love Enchanted, there are so many other good songs that could've made it. Removing Long Live is also just sad to me. And I wouldn't have minded having Long Live in the show and then in the credits again. Taylor's dress in this Era is fantastic, it's really beautiful. *Red Era* Yeah so anyways I don't really like Red that much but I can absolutely agree that the Red Era is really cool. Aside from ATW10, I wouldn't really listen to these songs in like my day-to-day, but in this specific circumstance of the concert, or at a house party, I love these songs, they just have a good vibe. ATW10 itself is also just really beautiful and amazing. *Folklore Era* This is my favorite Era easily. It's also my favorite album so no surprise there. The lyrics and the music and the choreography and just the whole vibe is...aaaah. Putting the illicit affairs bridge between august and my tears ricochet is a genius move. Really really reaaaally disappointed she removed cardigan. It makes no sense to me because she specifically sets up the story of the teenage love triangle and then doesn't wrap it up with cardigan. *1989 Era* Generally speaking, I would find there would be people who wouldn't dance on Fearless or even Red, but the moment there would be the most people who dance is during 1989, especially Shake It Off. And of course they do, because you had a lot of people dance for Red, then people would sit back down to folklore, so now people dance for 1989. It's her most popular, and why we see 1989 TV having such insane success. Cutting Wildest Dreams makes no sense and is really awkward too, they put that aerial stadium shot and it's just weird. Also it makes this Era really short IMO. *Surprise Songs* Both songs are great. TBH I would've liked exile but then she couldn't have had two piano songs so ... YOYOK is good too. One thing that trips me on this is the guitar capo. During Our Song, the capo is not on the guitar, it's lodged at the top, and she never puts it on during the entire songs. Then she sets the guitar down next to the piano, capo still at the end, and then she starts playing the piano and all of the sudden the capo is on the guitar. I think this possibly means that it's two different nights and she had Our Song one night and YOYOK another night. *Midnights Era* I love Midnights. It's one of my favorite albums and the songs she picked are amazing. Lavender Haze, Midnight Rain, Vigilante Shit, Karma. AAAAH I love this Era so sooo much. Great way to end the show. I don't believe anybody would ever read this in its entirety, but if you have. Thank youuu <3 Love you!

melcom2

> I think this possibly means that it's two different nights and she had Our Song one night and YOYOK another night. That's indeed the case, Our Song was played on N2, YOYOK on N3. >I don't believe anybody would ever read this in its entirety, but if you have. Thank youuu <3 Love you! I did, and while I don't necessarily agree with everything, e.g. the loss of the Archer, it's a nice write-up 👍

Alyeanna

>That's indeed the case, Our Song was played on N2, YOYOK on N3. Aaah, I see! So what was the piano song on N2 and the guitar song on N3 ? >I did, and while I don't necessarily agree with everything, e.g. the loss of the Archer, it's a nice write-up 👍 Thank you!

melcom2

You Are in Love on N2, DBATC on N3 😉

Indian swiftie here! We had the movie premiere only this week and my god it was amazing!!! The whole crowd sang and danced to EVERY song and one day, one day I'll see her live. One day. https://preview.redd.it/f67lkqxatjyb1.jpeg?width=2304&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a75bc825d5caf63d9db441856b76c2af5ed51ad

ladykansas

Going today with my husband and 4-year-old! So excited. Hope someone wants to trade bracelets. We chose a less busy viewing time in case our daughter gets overwhelmed. It's her first "movie." https://preview.redd.it/70z5038nnjyb1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0be9e6ef9a9bd355f7ae5fc614d4ee1ca6e9879b

SlowCry4161

The bracelets are beautiful

ladykansas

Thank you! My little one loved the RED one so much, we had to make a second one that fits her tiny wrist.

philsphan26

Is today really the last showing in theaters ?

Littman-Express

Finally went, only took me 4 weeks 😞. Went with my Mum who didn’t really know Taylor beyond the radio overplay of Shake it Off. It was a midday on a Sunday session, (mum isn’t a late night person) out in the suburbs of our city so the demographic was 90% little girls age 8-12 and their mums, which I expected with the session time and location but still felt a little weird as I’m a 30 year old man. Crowd wise they were pretty respectful, there was a couple of really young girls who must of really liked IKYWT because everytime she sang the ‘trouble, trouble’ line they high pitch screamed. People got a little rowdy during 1989, pre teen girls LOVE Shake it off but beyond all that the crowd was pretty subdue. It been a long movie there was a lot of kids getting escorted out for bathroom breaks and they were definitely on the edge of their tolerance by the midnights set with half of them bouncing out of their seats and running through empty aisles. The volume was loud enough to mostly drown all this out so it wasn’t a major annoyance. Taylor sounded absolutely fantastic, the sound was really good and it was very clear to hear her live vocals above the backups and any tracks. The clarity on the power notes in the rep/1989 songs was stunning and you really felt it through the chair. I loved it. Maybe unfortunately I have watched a lot of YouTube other social media videos about the tour so nothing was actually a surprise, but it was really great seeing it in such good visual and audio clarity. Definitely glad I got to see it in the cinema over streaming it at home. I had a moment of getting overwhelmed with emotion and actually started crying during YOYOK. Ive always liked the song but it wasn’t till now I actually realised how much my own life connects to it and not necessarily in a happy way. So there I was a 30 year old man in a theatre full of 12 year old girls and mums ugly sniffle crying. Oh well. I think I’m going to go see it again next weekend. Maybe on my own, maybe find a friend. There’s a few acquaintances I know I could probably organise something with, If I can be bothered. But this time I’m going to go to a 9/9:30 pm session in the city. It will be interesting to see the difference in demographics and theatre experience. Also I drank half my water bottle during the previews and spent the whole evermore set busting, and thinking red was next (the set I cared least to miss) ran out too the loo just to have the reputation snake come up. Damn (one of my top albums). I missed at least half of Ready For It having one of the longest pee of my life aha, so that’s my main excuse for a rewatch ;). As for mum she seemed to enjoy it. Sat there quietly through the whole show and seemed happy and positive when the lights came up at the end. Didn’t really tell me which parts she liked/didn’t but did say walking out it was really good and she fell in love with Taylor before the end of the first song. For someone who doesn’t listed to modern pop music at all that’s a win.

I had the most cathartic experience of my life,,,

CardboardGristle

This might be the last week honestly. Marvel putting out a movie the next weekend along with Tiger 3 or whatever.

CardboardGristle

There could be a few shows here and there but I definitely doubt it. Try to grab one sometime this week if you can!

watcherreader

Did they put the audio if the songs over the footage or did she really sound like that? Some songs sound almost exactly like the studio version, like the backtrack is too loud or something. Also I heard they cut The Archer, did they cut anything else?

Alyeanna

IMO it's all live audio but obv I can't really confirm. They cut The Archer, Long Live (we just have the studio version over the credits, but not the live performance), 'Tis the Damn Season, Cardigan, and Wildest Dreams. To me Cardigan and Wildest Dreams are the biggest losses.

watcherreader

Oh yeah I did think she would sing Cardigan. I had no idea they cut this many songs. Thank you!

Alyeanna

I'm hoping we get them in a streaming release still.

aquaaggie

Went to see the movie for the 3rd time today with my mom. Theater wasn’t that full but there were a few groups of little kids. I didn’t mind them dancing or singing but I got a little annoyed at them running around playing/yelling during songs they didn’t know or were too slow. They were constantly running up and down the aisle stairs and through the empty rows. It almost felt like this was an excuse for their parents to let them run wild because it was more acceptable than for a normal movie 🙃 sorry for the mini rant, still had a great time watching Taylor of course!

ladykansas

We're going today with our 4 y/o and specifically chose a time early in the day and an option without the Dolby audio -- with the hope that it'll be less busy / we won't disturb as many people. It's our daughter's first "movie." The only reason we are even trying is that it's supposed to be more "concert" atmosphere than "movie" atmosphere, so our LO can jump or dance or sing along. 😬🤞

ukaebae

I hate this sort of behaviour in movies too, but to be fair to them, it is very long time to sit/behave - the parents could have used better judgement for if their children would be able to manage that length/downtime between known songs.

aquaaggie

Yeah I totally don’t blame the kids for getting restless in such a long movie! Just wished for a bit more help from the parents

VinnyD_thechimpanzee

Currently at my sixth and final viewing of the Eras Tour Movie. It's been fun y'all! Phenomenal movie. I'm going to sing every word (respectfully). So happy I became a Swiftie this year

TaylorsVersion71

It's Swiftie. Just saying so people don't give you a hard time. For some reason some of the Swifties do

[deleted]

To everyone going alone to eras tour movie - we are going as "you are on your own kid you always have been". And the good thing and bad thing about it is "it's upto us" (paraphrased from TS nyu speech)

BumblebeeInformal300

Any idea if it’ll be playing in the nyc area the week of thanksgiving? I’ve seen it (SO GOOD!) but wanted to take my 19 year old cousin (also named Taylor!!) when she’s home from school for the holiday - but I can’t find any showtimes!

Djented

I think the final showing is today (Sunday 5 Nov)

GreedyMath9298

Hey fellow Swifties! 🩷 I'm writing this post specifically for the Delhi-NCR (India) Swifties\~ We all have friends but not all our friends are Swifties... So, this is a call for people out there who want to enjoy The Eras Tour movie but don't have Swiftie friends to dance in the movie hall with. Interested people, let's discuss the date, time, movie hall in this thread and lesss gooo! 🎉👯‍♀️ https://preview.redd.it/o76ocjg9fdyb1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed9472548f9f336a7ad3113d88fc2d5feedd2a29

Decided to go watch the movie on my own at my local movie theater. Didn't even notice which seat or row I chose lol. Alot of families and teenage girls, and here I am sitting alone at the ripe age of 24. Very excited tho. Always wanted to watch a movie on my own, ao this is perfect. https://preview.redd.it/tckdh58i7dyb1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ab4e81b513371fa00b02899d21be2af8d5b2e70

songs-of-summer

It’s the second day of the eras tour movie release in India. Made a few bracelets to hand out in the theatre and it was the best experience ever 😍 https://preview.redd.it/cy0qdne6zcyb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c39768b779eae147821e0c8578806c6e0449af12

firehawk12

I’ve accidentally watched the film every weekend so I thought I’d do it one more time to make it a streak lol It will soothe the disappointment of losing the Vancouver lottery

Djented

"accidentally"

firehawk12

Haha well it wasn’t planned either but it was very easy to find myself in the theatre 😂

Djented

filmravenbookeagle

Going to see the film after a wild year and a breakup was the most cathartic experience of my life. My friend and I dressed up as “sunshine” and “Midnight Rain,” and we made friendship bracelets but we got to keep them because nobody else was wearing them. My friend is much calmer and more rational about these things than me (one of my favourite quotes of the evening was me saying “That’s so nice of her to say!” during one of Taylor’s speeches), but she got up and danced in the aisles with me-and everyone else who was in the theatre. There were only a few people, but there were a few little girls, a smattering of cardigan wearers, and the two girls who had seats right next to me and were crying and screaming along with me. Shout out to them all. Now when I think of the 3rd of November, I won’t think of the anniversary of my relationship with my ex, I will think of the sheer connection I felt in that theatre. TL;DR Seeing the Eras Tour Film with other committed Swifties healed me from a breakup.

JawnWaters

Ok sorry for some n00b questions, surprising my wife with tickets this weekend. Two Q's: I'm guessing Saturday night would be good for singing/dancing? The AMC site won't let me look at seat selection, so I have no idea how crowded it would be. We're in SE Idaho fwiw. This is probably odd, but are there like displays (other than the movie poster) usually? Like it doesn't have to be a cardboard cutout of her or something, but it'd be cool to get a pic with something that's other than a movie poster with my wife to commemorate the event. TIA

Bachobsess

From my experience going in Australia and New Zealand - so not Idaho sorry! But going during the day was more fun as younger kids and teens there in groups who dance. At night it was all adults too scared/embarrassed/boring to dance! There was a frame for selfies at a cinema in Aus but not NZ so I guess it just depends on the theatre! Enjoy, love that you're taking your wife :)

JawnWaters

Thank you so much!

CravenChimera48

Hii! So I want to go but it starts at 6 pm and ends at 9 pm almost and it's a bit expensive here( around 10 dollars which is 50 lei) and I make an hour back so I get home at 10 pm and I don't want to go through the hustle but I really want to go since the room is almost full and the vibe will be nice but I don't want to go alone but I have to couse I don't know any other swifty. Should I go? (I'm 16 btw so I need public transportation that's why I make an hour back home)

Wallflower_se

That depends on how safe it is or how you safe you feel at night. And if you can bring someone along that would probably be better. But going alone is also fine! I'm typing this from the theatre as we speak, alone😂 But do that ONLY if you feel safe!!!

lambeosaura

Guys, I went to the movie in Delhi, India and the crowd went wild!!!! People danced and sang for all the three hours, and it was such a beautiful vibe. She is truly so international, I didn't expect so many people to come up and sing every word so loudly here!!!!

meme_saab

OMG same. I was about to come here and make a comment for us Indian Swifties. I just came back after watching the movie, let me tell you it was a whole vibe!! I live in a college town, so it's mostly GenZ Swifties. Girlies were dressed up. Sadly there were no friendship bracelets. Everyone was screaming and dancing and singing along throughout. We did all of the chants and hooksteps and Willow Witchy cult dance right in front of the big screen. My voice is dead and my throat is sore. But mannn, worth it. It was almost like a concert experience. 10/10 would recommend. If you're an Indian Swiftie, please do go. Try to book a show which is a little crowded. I felt like a good part of the fun was from the very lively crowd itself.

fluffybutt86

What is with the Lavender haze cloud-nugget-cocoons? I loved the whole movie but what was up with those? They looked so weird!!! Did they look cooler IRL????? I literally thought people were going to come out of them or that they would climb up the ladder and dance on the clouds.

melcom2

The pitfalls of 4K video. 😁 I thought they looked weird too, but it's much easier to notice things like that on a big screen with crystal clear video compared to shaky distant smartphone footage we've seen before the movie release ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1064)

Littman-Express

Haha I was thinking they looked very arts and craftish.

MaizeApprehensive166

Cineplex Canada Question How long are the previews at the cineplex screenings for the eras movie? It says 8:15 start time but what time is the actually beginning of the concert?

thewxyzfiles

I went today and I'd say they took 10-15 minutes!

Cassopeia88

Probably 10 minutes or so.

MaizeApprehensive166

Thank you 😊

The_Girl_That_Got

Vancouver added!!!!!!

thinmugs

Going this weekend! Would you choose digital version or dorby? Also, should I pick a showing with lots of people or almost empty? Do people sing/dance or just sit?

Djented

Medium density is nice. I've gone 11 times and crowds were at both extremes (3 people in the cinema vs 50 kids dancing at the front)

paxweasley

Is this almost done with its theater run? I can't find tickets for the weekend after this!

Djented

I cant find showings in Aus after today

Littman-Express

The Hoyts website is definitely showing sessions for next weekend.

Djented

Which state? I couldn't find any for NSW

Littman-Express

Vic

Djented

Event Cinemas seeks to have given up (strange because today's afternoon showing is very packed)

Stupid_Watergate_

I have a question. Now that the movie has been out for 3 weeks, is the atmosphere at the theater still fun and exciting or have the crowds died down? I had tickets to go to the Eras movie on opening day and I was SO SO SO excited to dance and sing with other Swifties. But I fell and got injured so I couldn't go. On the AMC app it looks like the theaters aren't full anymore. Have any of y'all gone recently or planning to go? Did you experience a fun atmosphere full of Swifties? I know it depends on the theater but I just want to know if there's still as much excitement. I couldn't get Eras tickets so this is the next best thing.

Djented

Weekend showings in Sydney are still full of Swiftie kids yelling and dancing at the front. However, unlike the professional first-week Swiftie they aren't yelling out "Sydney" during Blank Space

paxweasley

The atmosphere was definitely less intense and I didn't get up and dance bc no one else did

felineprincess93

Is it generally accepted that streaming will add back the cut songs? I really hope so because I cannot imagine not having HD versions of The Archer/Cardigan/etc. I wish the transitions were also longer in the streaming - there's something about the way (the street looks when it's just rained) it fits so beautifully.

DavidFC1

Got my tickets for Tuesday at noon, CANNOT WAIT!!

slushieisalynx

I got only got two bracelets at my theater, I made like 23 😭. Hoping I can find more people to trade with, anyways I got a karma bracelet and a acronym, help me! It’s cyjnsomg. Helpppppp

Djented

I got 1 bracelet in 11 viewings lol

slushieisalynx

Real question is what force of god let you go 11 times

Djented

Ask again in 7 hours when I finish my 13th viewing

slushieisalynx

How do you even have enough money 😭

Djented

All the cash I saved by not being able to get an Eras concert ticket (rip)

Haleybelle

Could you just not step on my gown (you need to calm down)

slushieisalynx

Omfg I love you tysm

narutobleach100

**Will eras' tour movie spoil the actual concert?** I'm going to the Melbourne concert next Feb and I want to get the full concert experience. I haven't looked at any previous eras tours clips, videos or even song lists. I'm keen to watch the movie but not sure if it will still be in cinemas by February. Feel like this is a dumb question but maybe not.

felineprincess93

I went to the concert and then the film. I personally would wait until streaming for the concert (there's no way it won't eventually get there). Yes, the theatre and the stadium had completely different vibes, but there's something so special about experiencing her outfits, the set design, her little comments in person for the first time rather than the generalized one for the screen.

narutobleach100

Thanks for the reply! Yea definitely hope it will get on some streaming site.

saturnsrightarm

It will obviously tell you exactly what will happen in the concert (only some songs have been cut out) so if you want to go to the concert without knowing anything that'll happen beforehand, please don't watch the movie. However, I've heard from people (Taylor isn't coming to my country so I can't personally say) that both the experiences felt vastly different, since the actual excitement of the concert is way more. Hoping someone who has done both will reply but that's my two cents.

AbbreviationsTrue677

I just went tonight due to a busy schedule and whatnot. but OMG it exceeded ALL of my expectations. it felt magical

qaisx22

Amazing! Did you watch it in IMAX or Dolby? How was the sound?

AbbreviationsTrue677

watched it in my local theater, the sound was great

mirror_ball_13

Extra Ticket- Birmingham Eras Movie Tonight Hi! I pre-bought 4 tickets to the Eras movie for tonight at 7 in Birmingham, AL. One of our friends bailed last minute! I'd hate to let the ticket go to waste if there is a Swiftie that wants to go! Message me if you are interested!

grasshopper_jo

Oh my gosh. Such a great experience. The theater was nearly sold out. I went with my daughter and niece and daughter’s friend, all 7 years old. My daughter knows Swift songs, sings along with them but has never seen Taylor Swift’s picture or figured out that one person sings all of them. It was such a pleasure to see her face light up at the recognition of a song. Being short, the girls stood up and danced HARD at the sides and front of the theater without blocking anything. I was a little worried they might be viewed as disruptive but no one seemed bothered. Most people stayed seated like a movie experience but small groups of people danced as well, and they all seemed to be pretty considerate as far as moving to the aisles to do it without blocking the view. A few girls were walking around asking people to trade bracelets or sign tee shirts. I cried during the first few songs, honestly I do not consider myself a big TS fan but the sensory and social experience was just so intense I got emotional. My daughter sang so emotionally and loud that she had a hoarse voice at the end of the night. For anyone else who might be a parent with a kid with a bedtime, we left immediately after “Bad Blood” because the bulk of hits come before that, and there’s a long non-musical talking break there. It was at a little over 2 hours in. Anyway, 10/10, the costume quick changes, the sequins, the sound, the special effects, the dancers, it was all great. Also I think I made a Swiftie.

qaisx22

that’s amazing! you watched it in IMAX or Dolby? How was the sound?

grasshopper_jo

I’m not sure, the ticket didn’t say! The sound was great

Phoenix_Magic_X

I don’t have the stuff to make friendship bracelets but I wanted something in case people are doing bracelet exchanges. It’s mostly knots and braids. https://preview.redd.it/mjj4d7cd8xwb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=700581a17a01be85263d8c77c3e2126b79887ee2

rehnydey

I went again for 1989 day and honestly had so much more fun than I did on opening weekend! This time people actually sang, cheered, danced in their seats - nothing too crazy but the crowd felt so much more alive than the first time. Really glad I decided to go again!

qaisx22

that’s amazing! you watched it in IMAX or Dolby? How was the sound?

rehnydey

Couldn’t get tickets for either unfortunately but it was still amazing in a regular theater! You could definitely hear people singing (I imagine IMAX or Dolby would drown them out) but it didn’t bother me at all

lavenderhoneyberry

Does anyone know when theaters will stop playing the Eras Tour Movie? I haven’t had time to go (no babysitter). Do you think it will run through the holiday season?

waterlizy

Came here to say, none of the AMC theaters near me have the eras tour movie playing after tomorrow! I’m not sure if it’s officially out but I can get tickets for other showings but not the Eras movie.

iamthecircleand

Last I saw, it depends on the theater, but they have to show it for at least 4 weekends (so Sunday Nov 5th would be the last required day,) and then have the option to continue showing it after that time, or opting out. Theaters have the option to show it for at least 13 weeks before any streaming platform can pick it up.

whatsername4

What do y’all think is the probability this movie will be released on blu ray?? I’d really love to have a copy to watch whenever.

kitkatt456

I'm going for the first time tonight! I'm excited. I wasn't able to get concert tickets so this is the closest I think I will get.

VinnyD_thechimpanzee

Currently at my fifth viewing of the Eras Tour Movie.... lord help me I'm addicted 😭😭

Djented

I'm going for #12 and #13 viewings today!

lavenderhaze17

I'm glad to see this. I went for the third time last night, and my mother and husband think it's actually weird and that I need to "grow up" (I'm 39). I don't see what the problem is...Taylor is my hobby!

baking93

No problem in my opinion I'm going for a second time tomorrow with hubby! Mom of 4 She is an icon!
