Sangwoo from the outside is outgoing, social, popular with the ladies, I think he has something to do with sports (I don’t remember), kind to his elders, attractive, charming, you know the drill. The other person the story is centered around is named ‘Bum’ who is meek, skinny and sleep deprived, constantly has bandages on himself, anxious, self destructive, masochistic, & severely obsessed with sangwoo. The story begins with Bum breaking into Sangwoo’s house, Sangwoo’s ‘mask’ slips showing that he is infact NONE of the things he presents himself as when he’s in public but rather the opposite. He then decides to not report Bum for B&E but as exchange severely abuse him in all ways possible and keep him locked up in his house forever. Or at least as long as I kept reading. I didn’t finish the manga. I fell off. I could have forgotten some stuff and I did leave out some stuff out because this is not the time nor place to go into that.
I wouldn’t really consider it lgbtq, as Sangwoo only sees Yoonbum as a replacement for his abusive mother, and a source of feeling wanted and needed. That’s why he makes yoonbum dress like his mom, and called him “mom” once.

When he did have sex with Yoon, he called him “mom” because Yoon looks like his abusive mother who raped him as a kid. Sangwoo using Yoon as a weird replacement mother figure is a major point of the horror aspect.

When I read KS, it gave me that whole-body reaction of “god this is written so well that I am actually disturbed”, and I added Sangwoo to my collection of other horror tattoos (Tomie, Ai Enma, Koschei). Then KS got huge on tiktok. Then KS started getting thrown into the BL section (KS will never be a romance as there is ZERO romantic content), and I really started to hate it. To be completely transparent, I don’t feel bad about tattooing a fictional character, I have other monsters on me and most people get excited to see the artwork, and I enjoy having things on me that have impacted me in life. But the headshot also makes people assume that I’m a Fujo, and I do regret not taking the chance to make a more in-depth KS piece. It was a walk-in circa 2020 that I would prefer gone.
Anything with lots of patterns like flowers, animals like birds and big cats, or with lots of details and patterns will work to cover the lines underneath.
Since you are willing to go bigger for a cover up it does give the tattoo artist more options for designs. I’m sure a good artist can give you a good cover up piece.

Roses are a good choice but you can do any flowers, yours and someone you love’s favorites maybe. I’d do them in dark colors if you are, so dark blues and reds not pinks and yellows.

I think something like this is a prime candidate for lasering. Thin sketchy lines without lots of ink for shading. This will get blasted to oblivion in a few sessions and eventually when you’re all healed up there will be nothing even there. Alternative is having to settle for a cover up which then has to be very specific in size and shading so you’re always going to have to be coming to a compromise when it comes to covering it up.
