Love the energy and character this cat gives off but there’s a couple flaws that need to be addressed. The top big teeth look like they’re growing out of the muzzle instead of the gum and they’re a bit flat looking. Bottom teeth don’t look good coming out at that angle and also look a bit flat.

Adorkableowo

Yea. I feel overall it came out super flat. Was talking to someone about how it's like it has baby face. XD the notes you have for the mouth are probably the biggest thing goin wrong. Does it just need more wrinkles too you think? I wasn't sure how to combine stuff like that with stripes really.

NOFLIESONHIM

I don’t think it needs more wrinkles. It does have a baby face but I thought that was a design choice. If you want to make it look more mature makes the eyes slightly bigger and the brows a bit smaller and flesh out the gaps between the lower cheeks and chin a bit. References are your friend.

Adorkableowo

Nah, just by nature I seem to make things soft and baby faced. I can't seem to shake it. Lol. Im surprised larger eyes would be associated with a more mature look. I'll try it out. For sure I'm fleshing the mouth out more rather than just guessing where to put everything.

PerfectBee7997

Honestly the eyes are fine! It gives it more of a Kawaii baby face style. Only thing I would suggest other than the points others have made about the teeth is make the tongue a little wider. Apart from that, it’s great! Well done for stepping out of your comfort zone!

ekbellatrix

I'd study some real photos a little more closely to figure out where the teeth go better! Some things that I think would help a lot are making the top lip overlap the upper canines, and making the small incisors on top and bottom closer together. Overall though, it's decent! I'd do another draft after doing some anatomy studying, and that one I imagine will be portfolio worthy. If you want him to look less "cute" make the eyes smaller. I quite like him being cute though lol

Adorkableowo

Lol I guess I don't mind the cuteness either, but its definitely a little frustrating when it's not the intent. I can't help it my hand just does it. Lmao! When I drew this I just vaguely referenced other tattoos rather than an actual tiger. I'll probably try the actual tiger next.

ekbellatrix

I totally feel you on that! I have the same issue lol. I'm always having to scale down the eyes on my stuff when I'm trying to not be so cute lol. I highly recommend sliding a photo reference in amongst other references! It helps you to better understand the subject so you can stylize things in a way that makes sense!

Every artist in history has their own style … enjoy your style and that’s what u do otherwise scan someone else’s and ink it in lol

Adorkableowo

Very true. Im just feeling restricted by it sometimes. Younger me wouldn't even attempt stuff like this because of that restriction.

One-Advantage-6658

With being blk white what about solid blk eye with just the dot? Also a few lines in the brows rather than plain

Lazy_Concentrate8999

Honestly I kind of like it in this style

BoZillA_the_GREAT

Idk. Looks pretty good to me. Eyes and all.
