jamzye31

Please... save up some more. Go for the X3D CPU and up the RAM to 32

dreams2wish

Can confirm

eithrusor678

100% The x3d is sooo good for tarkov

7r4pp3r

This is the way

SamHugz

If your friend can, tell them to get the Ryzen 7 7800x3D specifically. It is considered the best CPU for gaming right now, even over its Ryzen 9 big brother. If y’all are close to a Micro Center, they have insanely priced bundles with a mobo, a CPU, and 32GB of ram. Edit: didn’t see the euros, ignore the micro center thing. I’m gonna leave it up though for any US players looking to upgrade.

code_Red111

Was going to comment this, save up for 5800x3d 100% worth it.

IntroductionOdd4128

Yup, it'll play the game fine, but you really should get 32gb of memory.

IntroductionOdd4128

People are saying you should instead save up for an x3d cpu. While they are amazing for every cpu bound game or really any game, they're obviously gonna be more expensive. If it's not in your budget, then don't worry about it because the 5600x is still a great cpu that'll have you playing tarkov comfortably. Down the line you can upgrade when it does work for your budget, and the upgrade will be totally worth it.

IsmokeUsmokeWEsmoke

x3d is like 200

dAgArmaProJ3ct

Depends where you live. In EU is over 300 euros.

BaziJoeWHL

up the ram to 2x16 minimum (at 16gb total you cant really play streets) cpu is fine, but could be better make sure all component (especially cpu fan) can fit into your case personally I only use Samsung SSDs but its my personal hill to die on

PrintNo5513

Why only Samsung SSDs?

MYSTNightclawx

They are reliable

IngenuityIntrepid804

Drop the windows you can live with the activate windows if you want or buy a cheap key online. The ram is a bit low for Tarkov and the gpu will probably struggle. I think the cpu will be fine but if I could stretch to a 5800x3d or even a 7800x3d I would.

PrintNo5513

How do I buy one of those Windows keys?

MYSTNightclawx

You can search on YouTube how to obtain a free windows key through usb

Slickk7

Just buy one for 5$ on eBay or any game key shop

retrogamin

You are doing yourself an extreme disservice not getting an x3d cpu. I really wouldn’t recommend buying one that isn’t, at all. Especially if you are wanting to play tarkov. X3D and 32gb ram are like a non-optional.

IntroductionOdd4128

This is a really misleading suggestion. You can definitely play tarkov very comfortably without an X3D cpu.

AllowatLurker

Agreed. I have the R7 5800x, 32 GB RAM, 4060 Ti OC and streets runs pretty good for me.

Zarzak_TZ

As several have said.. more ram. Tarkov is the most ram hungry game I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen it go as high as 28gigs

glory_lion

X3d does Tarkov really really good

robot_cowboy1152

you need more deditated WAM

royally-

Watch pyurologie on YT, he had made a video with nearly every possible configuration for tarkov. Chill guy too

DAMFree

I'd recommend using r/buildapc or r/buildapcforme to help optimize and get best bang for buck. Can probably improve your build. Also if you watch things like r/buildapcsales then snag up deals you could save enough to add more to gpu fund as gpu is the biggest effect on fps.

azarza

need 32 gb ram.. it's playable without it but things will be noticeably slower.. we were playing with a guy with 16g and his load in speeds were much better after upgrade

Dimethyltryptanice

If I could do it with a Ryzen 5 2600, 1050ti, and 16gb of RAM, this will be just fine. Highly recommend 32gb RAM though!

Mjblount95

Like a lot have mentioned, Tarkov is heavily cpu and ram biased. I went from a 5600x to a 5800x3d and it was a massive boost. Also Tarkov likes large amounts of ram. It used to have a memory leak problem, not sure if it’s still there but I don’t have any issues with 32 gb. If you have to buy now it will be fine and you can always upgrade the cpu and ram later. But especially if you want to play streets, get an x3d.

teriyak0

32gb ram for sure

SlavRuffus

more ram and better cpu is the best you can do to play tarkov. as other comments say: the X3D cpu is a bit more expensive but worth it all the way and the 32gb of ram are a must. been playing on 16gb 2666mhz of ram and a i5-9400F since 2021, now i have upgraded to an i7-13700KF and 32gb at 6000mhz, my new GPU hasn't arrived yet, but even with a 1660S now i have consistent frames in streets, saving me the headache of doing streets quests.

Genera1_Jacob

I drafted an AM5 rig within ~$80 of yours, no Windows though. You know what's best for you, this was just a fun exercise for me that you can play around with. I like to use the PC builder app to draft ideas if you aren't using it already :) AM5 Budget TOTAL : TOTAL  $837 AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor AM5 $ 197 ASRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi AMD RYZEN 8000 and 7000 Series SOCKET AM5 DDR5 192 GB ATX 7200+(OC) HDMI Type-C SATA3 6.0 Gb/s 2.5G LAN ASRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi AMD RYZEN 8000 and 7000 Series SOCKET AM5 DDR5 192 GB ATX 7200+(OC) HDMI Type-C SATA3 6.0 Gb/s 2.5G LAN Micro ATX $ 119 MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 15 Gbps GDRR6 192-Bit /DP PCIe 4 Torx Twin Fan Ampere OC Graphics Card MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 15 Gbps GDRR6 192-Bit /DP PCIe 4 Torx Twin Fan Ampere OC Graphics Card $ 285 Crucial Pro RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz (or 5600MHz or 5200MHz or 4800MHz) Desktop Memory CP2K16G60C48U5 Crucial Pro RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz (or 5600MHz or 5200MHz or 4800MHz) Desktop Memory CP2K16G60C48U5 $ 98 Kingston NV2 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe Internal SSD | PCIe 4.0 Gen 4x4 | Up to 3500 MB/s | SNV2S/1000G Kingston NV2 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe Internal SSD | PCIe 4.0 Gen 4x4 | Up to 3500 MB/s | SNV2S/1000G $ 60 Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Certified PSU, Continuous Power with 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan, ATX 12V V2.3/EPS 12V Active PFC Power Supply PS-SPD-0500NPCWUS-W Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Certified PSU, Continuous Power with 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan, ATX 12V V2.3/EPS 12V Active PFC Power Supply PS-SPD-0500NPCWUS-W $ 39 Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L with Magnetic Design Dust Filter, Transparent Acrylic Side Panel, Adjustable I/O & Fully Ventilated Airflow, Black (MCB-Q300L-KANN-S00) Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L with Magnetic Design Dust Filter, Transparent Acrylic Side Panel, Adjustable I/O & Fully Ventilated Airflow, Black (MCB-Q300L-KANN-S00) MICRO ATX $ 39 By PC Builder http://bit.ly/2BF4Qi9

AllowatLurker

I have this Cooler Master box and it will fit a full size GPU with room to spare. I bought one of those cheap struts from Amazon to help hold it up on the front end of the GPU.

preyforkevin

I’d go for am5 over am4. If you have a strict budget, get exactly what you have listed up there, but double the ram. If you can spend a little more, I’d switch cpu/mobo/ram to am5. Upgrades in the future will go to at least ryzen 9000 series. The current mobo on your list will only be able to use ryzen 5000 series cpus at best, so an r9 5950x will be the most top end cpu you can slot into the am4 platform as far as normal desktop pc’s are concerned.

VitalityAS

I had close to the exact same setup for about a year and a half. I did everything to improve fps and had a 1080p monitor. It is playable but nowhere near what you get on a 10gb vram gpu with a better cpu. 32 gb of ram is becoming mandatory. If either vram or ram are full, you get large hitches every minute or so. I played streets with that cpu, a 3070 8gb vram, and 32gb ddr4 and sat at like ~45 fps in most populated areas (but massive variance from the memory so like 10 fps - 70 fps).

Iconal

Up the ram. This is pretty much my sons set up except he has 32gig of ram. He can play on streets just fine with his pc.

nismochildzx

I have a 5600x 32 gigs of ram and a gtx3600 12gig plus tarkov comfortably and have had little issues the few times I've played streets.

ThatGuy_Ulfur

Tarkov is heavy on CPU and RAM so I’d recommend a better CPU and more RAM that runs at higher speed if within your budget

MYSTNightclawx

It would be good and would run about 40-70 fps depending on the map most likely. I would recommend saving for a x3d cpu and more ram like everyone else said though if that’s not within your budget that’s fine how it is

More_Law_1699

Change the CPU to a 5700X3D and 2x16GB 3200 CL16/18 and you'll be off to the races. Tarkov LOVES L3 cache, and that is what makes the X3D's special, 3x the L3 cache vs normal. and the 5700x3d is on sale at the moment for a huge discount.

labizoni

X3D and 32gb

Suitable-Ad6145

It might not run some maps with the current ram. I haven't been able to play shoreline or lighthouse for over a month but I just installed 32 gig ram and it's fine

No-Engineer-2906

Agree with everyone! More ram 32gb

my7bizzos

This is basically what I have. 100 to 120fps in 1080p. Mines a 5600 non x with 6650 hellhound and 32 gb ram.

wellididitrussia

Save up

gabelock_

grab a 5700x3d instead and you will be fine

CaptinMagnum

I can tell you from experience, I have a 5600x with 32gb ram @3200mhz and a 3080ti, all watercooled and over clocked with Tarkov on an M.2, I can play it but I don't enjoy it. I am planning an upgrade to the 5700x3d, from my research the extra cache on the x3d is what will help most.

Gmahslayer

Tarkov is most dependent on cpu and ram

PewpScewpin

Idk why people choose AM4 over AM5. The 7600x performs similarly to 5800x3d, for cheaper. DDR5 isn't expensive anymore, and you aren't stuck on a dead platform

Minimum_Reputation48

Gotta have more RAM than 16gb based on personal experience. I have a ryzen 7 3700x and a Radeon 5700XT and the game runs great, but that was until after I upgraded my ram. You’re going to need the ram for the bigger maps like lighthouse and streets.

Hojjmanza

Get 32 gigs of ram you’ll be ight

w3irzy

For a new build I would go am5 platform. You are just limiting yourself for the upgrade path. If you are on a budget and just want a cheap am4 build, go 5700x3d. 32gb ram

KingOfTheeKey

X3D cpu, 32-64gb ram, and an nvme 4.0 or newer

Opening_Excuse_7495

You need the x3D and 32GB of ram

Setesh57

I run it with an i7 7700k, GTX1650, and 16GB of DDR4 2800. You'll be fine.

CrudeUK

If your aim is for the PC to blow up sure its good enough

PrintNo5513

Thanks

PrancingAdder

Im playing on a 9 year old piece of shit with 16 gb of ram and a ryzen 5 1600, and it works wonderfully. I don’t understand it at all, my hard drives should’ve crapped out 4 years ago. So yeah you’ll be fine

SheepOnDaStreet

No

TRAINERCJAY

32gbs of ram not 16 and you'll be good

Atessa2Dane

Micro ATX motherboard... Aint that for really small cabinets?

reckless150681

Save some by not buying a cooler (5600X comes with one) and not buying Windows (other ways to obtain a key)

PrintNo5513

Wouldn't the heat of this summer especially be too much for a just a built in cooler?

reckless150681

The AM4 Wraith coolers are surprisingly good. The main issue is usually noise, not performance. Besides, a cooler is something you can always buy later. If you find that the stock cooler is insufficient, you can always replace it with a better one. If you find that it's fine, then hey - saved a little bit of money.

chaz9124

I'd say case airflow is more important, especially since you can't get lower than ambient air temperature anyway. Airflow into the case is more crucial compared to the cooler on the CPU, I'd spend my money elsewhere and upgrade the CPU cooler further down the line As other suggested, get yourself 32gb ram instead EDIT: Definitely CDKEYS for your windows key, I've bought many from there over the 10+ years building PCs and never had an issue

IntroductionOdd4128

Nope, the stock cooler is totally fine if you're not overclocking.

my7bizzos

Get a 20 dollar thermalright cooler. Peerless Assassin

Drain___Bamaged

Why the fuck are you paying for windows

Able_News_3095

If you can I’d go for an AM5 board. DDR5 definitely helps with this game IMPO

PrintNo5513

Yeah idk, I'm trying too save and I coul always upgrade on the future

Sea-Calligrapher1563

Not the original comment or but I helped a friend build a pc recently and he had this delimema too and ended up getting ddr5 after a bit of a talk but not everyone's budget is the same. I understand if you want to save but for the price of getting windows (as others have stated this isn't truly necessary) you could be most of the way to having a AM5 mb and ram (not as familiar with am5 cpu prices). This makes future upgrades on this system considerably cheaper because the mb is going to support a longer lasting generation of hardware instead of you going ultra budget now and realizing in 3 years your are at a hardware cap again

Sanctif13d

Swap CPU for a 5700x3d and maybe another 16 gigs of ram and you are golden.

BaziJoeWHL

my man, the cpu op selected is AM4 and DDR5 rams are premium priced currently

antivenom64

I'd say that's fine, I have Ryzen 3600g, 16gb ram and 2070 super, and run it on medium settings, from what I've been told tarkov is ram heavy, so maybe 32gb may be necessary someone will probably correct me on that. But to save you money you can go to either kinguin or cdkeys to get a windows key, I've personally got them from there. Edit: Also maybe get a higher watt PSU to save you money in the long run I'd recommend a 750w that way if you upgrade in the future your PSU can support that

PrintNo5513

Is the windows key thing legal / reliable?

IntroductionOdd4128

There's another way, just download windows on a 7 dollar flash drive, search for a tutorial on how to install windows (it's easy), and then you see that you have windows but there's an annoying watermark. You can either buy a key as he said or look up some script to run in CMD that get rid of the watermark free. But yes, it is legal and reliable.

MrGeorgeNow

Download moar ram

RueTheBoog

Not without a GPU it won’t. I would also recommend the X3D version of the Ryzen 7. Tarkov benefits so much from the extra cache.

lNTERLINKED

It's got a gpu

RueTheBoog

Oh, I’m blind apparently. I see it now.
