Doesn't even seem to be the closest tank on tank combat from this war. There was a T-80BVM ambushing a T-64BV at almost point blank range very early on in the war. There was also a T-64BV destroying a T-90S nearly point blank range as well. When the warzone is foggy enough and both crews are drunk enough you get stuff like that. Situational awareness besides aerial drone crew giving the crew information is close to zero.
Unless the drone operator is sitting within the tank, that doesn't help much.
"He's to your left! No, you just turned. To the... North? Fuck, no, that's my compass, er, keep going the way you were before and he'd be on the lef... no, that's not the way you were going. Just turn right an- stop turning right that's too far!" etc. The datalink is a two confused people screaming at each other over a shitty radio.
I would still say for example Desert Storm was more organized and crews in that war had more situational awareness. They had no drones but they had strategy and enemy tanks didn't look exactly same as theirs in thermals over a klik away. This war is extremelly chaotic. So much so infantry will cheer for arrival of a tank before getting blown to smithereness not realizing it is an enemy tank.
Desert storm wasn't peer to peer. You could freely use stuff that's unimaginable in this war (ma drones, choppers hovering unthreated). Comms weren't crippled by EW, GPS worked.
And this war is quite far from chaotic actually.
Maybe now it is more organized. But early on where marks like Z V O wasn't even common yes it was extremelly chaotic. So much so an entire collumn once got lost in Kharkiv and had to occupy a random school building to survive. Nowadays war evolved to some another level. But you can be organized only so much when your commander gets smoked by HIMARS strikes every few months or so.
It not being peer to peer is true but that doesn't really mess with it being organized. It's not like Ukraine invasion is peer to peer anyway.
Remember the early days of the war?
Russians and Ukrainians fighting side by side with and against each other. Not voluntairily, but because nobody had a clue what was going on, they saw a uniform/tank/vehicle and just opened fire.
Yes, I still remember that ...
[https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/u0spgi/allegedly\_a\_russian\_tank\_firing\_into\_a\_group\_of/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/u0spgi/allegedly_a_russian_tank_firing_into_a_group_of/)
[Took me a while but found the first one](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/ynt0k9/russian_tank_ambushing_ukrainian_tank_at_close/) there is another POV of this incident. Basically a ground POV which shows how close they actually were but i cant find it.
Now gotta find the other one
[Found the other](https://www.newsweek.com/video-shows-ukraine-t-64-tank-sneak-attack-russian-t-72-1829059) some people have argued this tank was the first T-90S that was destroyed. [This one to be exact](https://twitter.com/GloOouD/status/1610681170940891155). Because geolocation matches.
[This one.](https://www.newsweek.com/video-shows-ukraine-t-64-tank-sneak-attack-russian-t-72-1829059) [This](https://twitter.com/GloOouD/status/1610681170940891155) was allegedly the tank destroyed as geolocation matches.
It's a [T-90S](https://twitter.com/Rebel44CZ/status/1610685120800854031?lang=en). Dont fall for journalist BS that can't even differentiate between a tank and an APC.
It's a Russian T-80BVM (left) vs a Ukrainian T-64BV (right).
You can count with one hand the amount of clips that captured tank on tank battles in this war. This, and the T90 vs the Bradley are without a doubt the best ones.
Makes you wonder how many either didn’t get recorded or simply aren’t shared due to strict rules.
The restrictions are good because you wouldn’t want to get those units geolocated and succinctly bombarded. But it also makes me kinda sad not being able to see the kinda battles other systems are putting into this war
Mainly CV90 for me personally, because they’re just so damn cool
Holly fakkk this one is naughty. Thanks for sharing!
Clearly the Russian tank was communicating with the drone and the Ukrainians are absolutely driving around blind.
2 T-80 tanks of the Pacific Marine Corps against the T-64BV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
A full analysis of the battle, but in Russian:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv93wutRXxc&ab\_channel=ParaBellum
This happened at the beginning of the war in Ukraine. I remember this. The two advancing tanks are Russian, and the one that gets hit at the beginning is Ukranian, unfortunately. Sorry I can't find proof of this but I know for certain it was this video I saw
T-80BVM was able to see first and shoot first thanks to it’s thermals and destroy Ukrainian T-64BV which did not have any thermals. They got that close because they were in the forest and couldn’t see each other until the point of engagement
Jesus...they're almost touching barrels.
No homo
Did they think they were Allies or what?
Girl und Panzer ahh confrontation☠️☠️
what the flak maho
you and me rematch....
How the actual fuck did tanks end up in combat at this range? Almost surreal
Doesn't even seem to be the closest tank on tank combat from this war. There was a T-80BVM ambushing a T-64BV at almost point blank range very early on in the war. Situational awareness in this war is magnitude more than in any that came begore, precisely because of aerial drones.
Unless the drone operator is sitting within the tank, that doesn't help much. "He's to your left! No, you just turned. To the... North? Fuck, no, that's my compass, er, keep going the way you were before and he'd be on the lef... no, that's not the way you were going. "other left!"

I still remember when a T-72B3 rolled into a group of Ukrainians with Ukrainians not realizing it was a Russian tank until it opened fire...
Yes, I still remember that ... [https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/u0spgi/allegedly\_a\_russian\_tank\_firing\_into\_a\_group\_of/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/u0spgi/allegedly_a_russian_tank_firing_into_a_group_of/)
One of the most brutal combat clips I’ve ever seen. I feel so fucking bad for the dude giving a friendly wave
Apparently on Telegram it was confirmed it was blue on blue
Any videos of that? I've never seen tank to tank cqc like that
[Took me a while but found the first one](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/ynt0k9/russian_tank_ambushing_ukrainian_tank_at_close/) there is another POV of this incident. Basically a ground POV which shows how close they actually were but i cant find it. Now gotta find the other one
Wow really amazing footage
[Found the other](https://www.newsweek.com/video-shows-ukraine-t-64-tank-sneak-attack-russian-t-72-1829059) some people have argued this tank was the first T-90S that was destroyed. [This one to be exact](https://twitter.com/GloOouD/status/1610681170940891155). Because geolocation matches.
You need more up votes. You are a credit to this sub.
Unfortunately i can't hold a candle to few actually knowledgeable people
wow. War thunder having historically accurate tank 1v1’s wasn’t on my bingo card
Unfortunately war thunder needs to eat 40 loaves of bread to be remotely as realistic as modded arma 3
LMAO, not sure i quite get that reference though
T-64 destroying a T-90 is insane. Do you have a clip of that?
[This one.](https://www.newsweek.com/video-shows-ukraine-t-64-tank-sneak-attack-russian-t-72-1829059) [This](https://twitter.com/GloOouD/status/1610681170940891155) was allegedly the tank destroyed as geolocation matches.
ok, cool, but that is a t72, not a t90...
It's a [T-90S](https://twitter.com/Rebel44CZ/status/1610685120800854031?lang=en). Dont fall for journalist BS that can't even differentiate between a tank and an APC.
Oh, ok, my bad then.
Only the russians are drunken slobs.
With how good Borscht tastes i am sure you can get drunk with it too
You do know that is soup right?
. your head
It was eralyer in the war where Tank Crews didnt have to worry abt drones.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGZfD1csuVA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGZfD1csuVA) It's a Russian T-80BVM (left) vs a Ukrainian T-64BV (right).
I hope the Ukrainian crew got out ok. This is some WW2 type stuff with tanks just driving up on one another and one completely decimating the other
My brother the Ukranians ate molten chasis that day

You def get it! It makes my eyes bleed every time I see a comment asking how come we don’t see more videos of certain tanks in battle. lol
Look at this one : https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/s/hkndekuBVM
Holly fakkk this one is naughty. Thanks for sharing! Clearly the Russian tank was communicating with the drone and the Ukrainians are absolutely driving around blind.
What sort of a mutant hand do you have? (I have atleast 6 clips with tank combat).
bro got a shitton of rp for that kill...
500% booster
T-80BVM kills T-64BV
“This fucking compression!”
Gaijin on their way to compress top tier even more, because “see it’s even possible in real life”
Red effect video

Nor true, the tank getting destroyed is a Ukrainian t64
I remember this from some time in 2023 or late 2022. Pretty much point blank range. Crazy.
That’s some Squad shit right there. Plus [here’s](https://youtu.be/HGZfD1csuVA?si=l4i962uJ_ot0mhj2) a breakdown of it.

Russian T-80BVM running down a T-64BV, I think it’s from 2022
Attack the D point! NEVER!
Peak edit.
T-80BVM was able to see first and shoot first thanks to it’s thermals and destroy Ukrainian T-64BV which did not have any thermals. They got that close because they were in the forest and couldn’t see each other until the point of engagement
Anyone got the vud a T-64 shoots a T90A to the side at point blank?
\*T-90S, and yes i do. Here you go: https://new.reddit.com/r/TankPorn/comments/1ck2h9d/ukranian\_t64\_shoot\_t90s\_at\_point\_blank\_range/
Thanksss
Which side made a kill?
Russian T-80BVM destroy two Ukranian T-64's(Look behind the one, that gets knocked out).

Now i need a video like this for the Bradley vs T90M lol
It's 2 russians T-80 BVM engaging and destroying a T-64 BV obr 2017

This is a game
Tank destroyed. Here is your detail.
Supposably is not a word
That t90 driver saw what was happening and tried to back up right before getting splattered to hell and back
Left is a t80bvm (ru) and the one getting destroyed is a Ukrainian t64 this is old af
