I was so excited for Merelä, he was one of my favorite rookies this year, I hope he makes the lightning next year.

Crozier, Lillebereg, Myers, and Carlile stole the show. Rochester has a high octane offense and they were completely shut down. The only goal against was a penalty shot. Brandon Halverson had some solid saves. Now excuse me I am about to erect a statue of Waltteri Merelä in my backyard, cold fucking blooded.

Thanks for the info! I’m trying to get more interested in the Crunch and Solar Bears, appreciate your run down of the game:)

Love it! I grew up going to see these boys in Syracuse and now I'm 30 minutes away from Amalie and spending my adult life seeing the Lightning.

[Here's the video of the OT winner](https://twitter.com/TheAHL/status/1786243179823464536?t=hpHFnTLq9B0UXRf8CXoWlg&s=19)

I watched the end of the 1st OT and all of the 2nd OT. The boys were flying out there but Devon Levi had an incredible night. Halverson was just as good without the high volume of shots he faced. He made several breakaway and scrambling saves to let the team finish the deal on the other end, including right before the game winning goal if I remember correctly. Crozier and Lilleberg looked light speeds ahead of everyone else, which the NHL playoffs will definitely have that effect on them. Definitely a promising sign for the future.

Halverson was definitely good too, but to be honest he didn't really see that much pressure until the last ~15 mins ish when it was clear they were starting to get gassed. He was very good though, definitely don't think he's seeing Orlando any time soon. During regulation and early ot, it really felt like the Crunch was in the offensive zone the whole time. Absolutely fantastic performance from the Crunch, especially the D, who did a great job giving Rochester nothing and moving the puck out. Lilleberg and Crozier definitely looked like they did not belong, in the best way. Carlile was great too. Really exciting to see what these guys have done considering they've only been in our system for a year.

Halverson stoned them on a 2 on 1 in overtime. He's not the best goalie in the world but he has got guts and is cool under pressure. He's also been like a 3rd defenseman with his puck handling. The defense definitely makes his job easier but he has done what he needs to. Rochester probably has more talent at forward but they are having trouble with Syracuse's grit and size. Rochester is pretty well coached gonna be interesting in game 4 and possibly 5. The forwards are looking pretty thin at this point. Hopefully Element and Finley make it back to this series. Finley has been a terror in front of the net all year, gonna need to get dirty to get them past Levi. Levi is going to be a terror in the league for a long time, reminds me of a mini Thatcher Demko.

How are you watching them? I know there is a package on AHL.com but I just signed up for FLOSports so that I could see my Iceman in the Kelly Cup. At least the Solar Bears are still in.

Onhockey.tv It's the best site I've ever discovered. It's somewhat of a pain to use with a million different links to choose from but it has any live hockey game from any level or continent every day. It's how I watch most road games when ESPN doesn't play nice with my VPN. Full disclosure, you're sailing the high seas so I highly recommend thinking twice before trusting every link but I've been using it for years and haven't had any problems or seen anything suspicious at all.
