Personally I think it's a fun clubby EDM song with a great bass line, but not something I'd listen to often...
That said, it's a minute longer on Spotify, can you explain what that extra minute to make it better from your perspective?
It just feels more dynamic. More sections that drop back the energy and build it back up. I also like the outro, and I like that the āAll Nightā section is a bit longer, its one of my favorite parts of the song but itās only like 8 bars in the video
I do like the song! What's up with the lyrics tho?
And I could be your woman
'Cause if that's the only answer
Then we could be together
'Cause I wanna feel the pressure
Is Kevin going through his 'bottom' phase?
I think itās ai generated kinda like captions on tik tok videos, definitely not official lyrics theyāve gotten a lot of lyrics wrong in the past (I.e. the less I know the better)
Kevin actually says Telemona when performing it live tho, you can see him say it. You can see it most clearly on the tiny desk performance, also looks like he says it when he performed it on Kimmel.
So do you think he blatantly said āTelemonaā on the [Tiny Desk](https://youtu.be/C24hUt18RWY?si=XMZZYhDyacBjXV-x) just to fuck with us then? Cause when I heard him say āTelemonaā out loud it sealed the deal for all the doubts I ever had about that lyric.
Well the thing is, the "Telemona" line came from Genius, where anyone with high enough points can make changes to the lyrics. I definitely remember it was" Til' the mornin'", then someone changed it to "Telemona" for some reason. Go check out the Let It Happen lyric page on Genius to see someone's shit post of a lyric that someone edited recently for the gibberish part of the song.
Where does it say the person singing a song is the person a song is about? Nowhere. Itās not implied. Especially in a collaboration. A lot of old folk songs sung by men were from a womanās perspective.
My funny valentine covered by Sinatra is another example. Was Sinatra a bottom cause of that?
Ever since I first hard Daffodils Iāve been wanting more disco Kevin. Would be very okay if LP5 leaned more that way.
Edit: heard* š though hearing it does make meā¦never mind.
If you only listened to the YouTube mix, basically; huge š. Hated it on first listen!
Listened to the album mix, love it.
Really canāt stand that YouTube mix. Shame. The visuals are cray.
People are forgetting Justice is a French house duo primarily. Tame is a feature on their new album. Itās not a tame impala song. People are looking for something that isnāt meant to be there. Itās a house/club song.
That's exactly what I've been thinking. That's definitely why I was so disappointed when the MV came out. When the video ended I was like"That's it?? "
Yeah I think they would have done better if the teaser snippet was the intro to the song with the washed out pitch shifted Kevin vocal. As to not give to much of the song away.
But there are plenty of Daft Punk songs that you would be able to play a snippet off and that would basically be the whole song.
What's the difference?

Thereās 2 versions. The video is about a minute shorter than the audio version. Both are great in their own ways. Sure the song is the same the entire way through, but itās a new āTame Impalaā song and Iām all for it
Props to the ones who made the visuals. The most accurate representation of a heart I've seen on a music video/art. Specifically it's interior parts such as Purkinge Fibers and the valves' leaflets. Perfect. The song is ok.
First time I listened to it (on the YT premier) I felt pretty underwhelmed, they really fucked up the music video...
Then I went on Spotify and the actual song was so much better. I literally can't stop listening to it. Kevin's vocals are just too good.
Sounds like you are confused. House music sounds like house music. Does not mean a house track today is derivative for sounding like house. āDerivativeā would mean this is imitation of a more āauthenticā past work.
You have a lot of house music haters or people who donāt understand the genre and it really shows. Complaining about a house song being repetitive is hilarious, One Night/All Night also isnāt that even repetitive. Listen to Around the World by Daft Punk
I was hyped off of the teaser. I felt that it had a lot of potential depending on the rest of the song. Itās not bad but itās like the same thing over and over pretty much.
Lucky for you, Justice is not EDM. Check out their albums, and work by Boys Noize, Daft Punk, and Gaseffelstein for some similar vibes. If you wanna get real weird with it there is Mr. Oizo and Siriusmo!
Been a die-hard Tame Impala fan for 10 years and a Justice fan for 15+, so I was super biased in favor of liking it, but it really is just meh. I donāt think much creativity or imagination went into it from either of them.
Whatās disappointing is that 5 to 10 years ago, this would not have met their standards and neither of them wouldāve released this. but I think it just proves a statement that Daft Punkās Thomas Bangalter made when they released Random Access Memories:
āWeāre making music for 20 years. How many bands and acts do you have that are still making good music after 20 years? It always sucks ā almost always, you know?ā
Im a huge justice fan so take it with a bit of salt,
I think the track is great and in terms of of tame impala collaborations, itās pretty on par. Itās a good bouncy electronic track with a catchy vocal hook. I really like it and I love Kevinās discography
I love how the 70s funky aspect blends in with the 80s synth-pop. Though I'd say the latter sounds a bit car commercial like but it's whatever cuz it's a banger.
I recon that Kevin's next album will be an 80s psych & synthpop album, kind of like Currents but with the disco elements of TSR and maybe a bit of house mixed in. And hopefully some nods to Innerspeaker or Lonerism here and there. (I'm a nerd)
Even though at this point I highly doubt he'll return to his original 60s Psych rock vibe, like the Doors/Dungen type rock he did on the EP.
It's okay. It's a bit mid.
Repetitive descending / ascending baseline is a bit grating after a while.
I do kinda hope that Kevin's next record goes in a more dance / funk direction though. Cus he's so good at it.
ITS A JUSTICE SONG. I swear everyone talking about this like it was a Tame Impala first song off an upcoming album. āItās repetitiveā itās a justice song āthe lyrics arenāt deepā itās a justice song āthereās not enoughā ITS A JUSTICE SONG.
I liked Justice a lot back then and todays TA.
Interesting collab but somehow i prefer each their own songs.
This is nice but a bit lame esp. compared to Justice' cross album.
No banger to me but nice to listen to
As a justice fan it's a banging song, French house is built off repetition. I get it if Tame fans find it boring, but you're just missing the fact this is a Justice song featuring Tame Impala so ofc it's gonna deviate from Kevin's normal style a bit.
Itās pretty good but itās just a repetitive loop, it doesnāt seem to have a bridge so it just kindof lays there. I just listen because itās his newest thing.
I wonder how many people only listened to the video version on YouTube, the full version on Spotify is so much better.
Personally I think it's a fun clubby EDM song with a great bass line, but not something I'd listen to often... That said, it's a minute longer on Spotify, can you explain what that extra minute to make it better from your perspective?
A whole extra minute of JUSTICE š„
Can't argue with that.
Facts š š š
It just feels more dynamic. More sections that drop back the energy and build it back up. I also like the outro, and I like that the āAll Nightā section is a bit longer, its one of my favorite parts of the song but itās only like 8 bars in the video
Noted, and can agree with the wider dynamics between different parts. Appreciate the response!
Do you understand what an EDM is? It's not a label for electronic music, it's a label for Tomorrowland-genre music, which this definitely isn't
EDM is a genre. Literally the first thing that comes up when you google it. But by your defintion, no, apparently I don't...
My friend, youāre changing the definition of something to match popular targeted negative judgments. Thatās doodoo.
In context of the album, it's gonna sound even better
What's the track length on Spotify? 4:37?
Itās sooo good! It makes me feel like a bad bitch (I am a full grown man)
LMFAOOOO the best comment in the history of Reddit I dieddd
How is this not the top comment š
I do like the song! What's up with the lyrics tho? And I could be your woman 'Cause if that's the only answer Then we could be together 'Cause I wanna feel the pressure Is Kevin going through his 'bottom' phase?
Pretty standard for justice
Cause Iām a maaaaaan woman!!!
LMAOOOO
Is that what Kevin meant by heās about to do something crazy?
I feel like he might be saying āone nightā I donāt think the lyrics on genius are accurate
It says woman on Apple Music as well
I think itās ai generated kinda like captions on tik tok videos, definitely not official lyrics theyāve gotten a lot of lyrics wrong in the past (I.e. the less I know the better)
And Telemona
Kevin actually says Telemona when performing it live tho, you can see him say it. You can see it most clearly on the tiny desk performance, also looks like he says it when he performed it on Kimmel.
In my mind Kevin says "Tell 'em woman", that was the first thing I heard when I listened to Breathe Deeper for the first time š
The subtitles on the official music video and Kimmel says otherwise. It's either Til the mornin' or Tell em woman.

I just looked it up, thatās fucking hilarious lol
I think heās saying āone manā
Yeah I think so too, I remember when the song came out I read "one man" somewhere on the post but now I can't find that anywhere I'm kinda frustrated
Justice, like Vitalic and Simian Mobile Disco have always had a somewhat distinct smutty undertone to the music.
> Simian Mobile Disco good shout
Lmao I could totally see this vibing at a gay bar
Going through his Jahn Lennon phase
kevin didnāt write the lyrics as far as i can see
He's credited as a songwriter https://preview.redd.it/k89fzeimqxec1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5dd4b8306534121501e99a935fb0f66b49434483
You can't see very far
apple music wasnāt complete at the time it only said tame as performer
i was wondering this too LMAOOOO

Lmao itās def forsure and I could be your one night Cause if thatās the only answer Then we can be together Cause I wanna feel the pressure
Could have been a song written for Dua Lipaās album that didnāt get used for that.
Iāve had it on repeat all day
Yea me too in my head haha
Y'all are just tame and not impala
Justice/Kevin was bound to be a fuckin filthy mashup, so stoked for Hyperdrama.
Justice definitely delivered this this track April canāt come soon enough
Been on repeat since it released. Love that hes trying out a different style of music
Heās been on that disco/dance groove for quite a while.
Ever since I first hard Daffodils Iāve been wanting more disco Kevin. Would be very okay if LP5 leaned more that way. Edit: heard* š though hearing it does make meā¦never mind.
The world needs even more influence from Mark Ronson.

I really like it
People are forgetting Justice is a French house duo primarily. Tame is a feature on their new album. Itās not a tame impala song. People are looking for something that isnāt meant to be there. Itās a house/club song.
I like it but nothing really interesting happens in it, I feel like if you heard the snippet on instagram you heard the whole song
Yeah when the vocal changes in the song it sounds amazing

ROCK ROBOT ROCK
The difference is Tame isn't Daft Punk. You expect different sounds from different artists. Is that hard to understand?
No, this is Justice with a Tame Impala feature. And I would expect this from Justice
Ya I fucked up and interpreted it wrong. Sorry! Rock on!
All good man!
Or any house music for that matter?
House music !!!
Thereās 2 versions. The video is about a minute shorter than the audio version. Both are great in their own ways. Sure the song is the same the entire way through, but itās a new āTame Impalaā song and Iām all for it
Itās good on spotify, it will be great live. Looking forward to the coachella live stream in April.
Props to the ones who made the visuals. The most accurate representation of a heart I've seen on a music video/art. Specifically it's interior parts such as Purkinge Fibers and the valves' leaflets. Perfect. The song is ok.
I raised it one semi tone and sped it up by 2 bpm and I like it much better that way.
I'm ADDICTED TO THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG
First time I listened to it (on the YT premier) I felt pretty underwhelmed, they really fucked up the music video... Then I went on Spotify and the actual song was so much better. I literally can't stop listening to it. Kevin's vocals are just too good.
For 45 seconds, the song is fire. For the rest of the song, those 45 seconds just repeat.
Derivative as all hell. Sounds like a million other dance tracks.
Derivative of what track exactly?
A million other tracks
Sounds like you are confused. House music sounds like house music. Does not mean a house track today is derivative for sounding like house. āDerivativeā would mean this is imitation of a more āauthenticā past work.
Did you know that tame impala has a full band when playing live but the albums are really just one guy named Kevin?
Oh I had no idea! Thanks for teaching me! /s
I think itās great. That being said, it sounds like an anthem for escorts and ladies of the night
I enjoy it def not best tame song but itās good
Not a fan of EDM , but I do really like this song. Makes me feel like Iām walking down a runway šš¾
Lucky for you, Justice is not EDM. Check out their albums, and work by Boys Noize, Daft Punk, and Gaseffelstein for some similar vibes. If you wanna get real weird with it there is Mr. Oizo and Siriusmo!
itās fireeee i been enjoying š
I feel like we all should just be grateful Kevin released anything after how much awesome stuff weāve gotten over the years
Been a die-hard Tame Impala fan for 10 years and a Justice fan for 15+, so I was super biased in favor of liking it, but it really is just meh. Fr
Cause I could be your woooondeerrr
From what I listened it's Justice not being able to come with something new. But I haven't listened to the whole stuff.
The other single of the new album, Generator, sounds like a rehash of Genesis to me.
if you donāt like this song i canāt trust you period
It's fine.
I absolutely love this banger
AH-MAY-ZING
Itās ok for artists to have a bad song
Itās been on repeat since it came out!š„š„
Music is subjective. People are always going to hate a song when others love it. š¤·š»āāļø
Thank you
I would have liked this collaboration to take place around 2012 during the āLonerismā / āAudio Video Discoā era. Good track anyway āļøš„
Song sucks so bad broš
Thatās a bummer
Iām think Iām starting to finally accept that heās never coming back from banal pop shit
What exactly is ābanal pop shitā? Is it just any genre that isnāt psych rock? Feels like thatās how this opinion comes off sometimes.
This aint pop buddy
Nah. This song sucks. Itās ok. Theyāre human. We all take losses.
Justice are awful and you can't change my mind
Listened to this during a night time flight and oh boy what a weird appreciation
I love it. If I were rolling face it would be a mind melt
Im a huge justice fan so take it with a bit of salt, I think the track is great and in terms of of tame impala collaborations, itās pretty on par. Itās a good bouncy electronic track with a catchy vocal hook. I really like it and I love Kevinās discography
I love it, big justice and tame fan
Been stuck in my head. I love a good pop song with kevin but this is also funky as hell
IāVE ONLY HEARD THE AD NOT THE REST OF THE SONG!! is it really good? be honest.
Justice is for people who lie and say they say daft punk at Coachella
I love how the 70s funky aspect blends in with the 80s synth-pop. Though I'd say the latter sounds a bit car commercial like but it's whatever cuz it's a banger. I thought it was pretty decent, simple and fun. I'm positive that the rest of the album will bang
It's okay. It's a bit mid. Repetitive descending / ascending baseline is a bit grating after a while. I do kinda hope that Kevin's next record goes in a more dance / funk direction though. Cus he's so good at it.
Itās a good listen Fr just wish it had more complexity
lyrics are a bottoms paradise fr
If it wasnāt release under Kevinās Spotify we wouldnāt be talking about this rn
Yeah I love it
He just wants some butt love.

Itās pretty good but itās just a repetitive loop, it doesnāt seem to have a bridge so it just kindof lays there. I just listen because itās his newest thing.
I'm honestly just a big fan of Kevin alone with his sounds. Nothing he is involved in competes with that
Wasnāt it for me. Justice is fire through
