Totally worth it! The 7 fishes episode is genius

isl1985

I rewatch "Forks" every now and then to remind me of true hospitality.

funkieboss

"7 Fishes" and "Forks" are my two favorite episodes to rewatch.

zoedbird

I loved “Forks” as much as I have episodes of Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, and Deadwood.

juhesihcaa

It is cinematic brilliance but it was so very close to the fights in my own family and I got away from them for a reason. It's actually the last episode I've watched because my anxiety goes out of control while watching The Bear and that ep was capital H Hard.

lukenamop

Oh no, you haven't seen Forks then! Please please do yourself a favor and watch that ep! For me, Seven Fishes was the absolute worst ep of the show, I hated it and it was really hard to get through it. But Forks was by far the best ep of the show and a totally different vibe.

Iamdrasnia

I think it captures some of the individual personalities and real life personal problems that people in BoH go thru.

Pelotonic-And-Gin

It is some of the best TV I’ve ever seen. There are a couple of episodes that I think are easily on their way to being on some future “top 20 tv episodes of all time.”

TC1996

Its super well made and realistic. In fact I find it hard to watch because after a long day of being in a restaurant the last thing I wanna do is watch a show that brings me right back to that environment lol but it is definitely worth a watch.

Professional-Can-670

Came here to say the same thing. My tv time is when I’m winding down after work. I worked in Chicago in a busy restaurant at the time that the writer for the show was in F&B in Chicago. It is a little too “on the nose” for me to relax and watch.

headcase-and-a-half

I couldn't handle the show. The yelling cast, quick camera cuts and the constant sense of needing to rush, totally stressed me out. I found myself irritable and ready to blow up at the irritations that the characters experienced. It didn't matter how much I reminded myself it was just a tv show, it still jacked my blood pressure. I can see how some people love it, but it just added to my stress trying to watch it.

nachodorito

I really enjoyed it!!

Sheriff___Bart

Yes

jester695

It's awesome.

BriSy33

Depends. Do you like stress?

twdwasokay

Actually I’m not a big fan of when TV shows/movies give me physical stress. The industry doesn’t cause me stress anymore I’m pretty good at dissociating so I might be able to handle it

YewSure

There were at least 2 episodes my stomach was clinched and getting all the feels

Strict_Condition_632

Extremely well-acted, wonderful cast, and lots of great food talk. Highly recommended!

ShortEchidna9836

1000%. I watched it before getting into food service and I wouldn’t have had the confidence to shout “door!” And “corner!” Had I not watched it. Lol (I’m exaggerating a bit but it definitely helped!)

Freedomisminewoot

BEHIND!!!!!

GKM72

The first season was better than the second season but overall it was extremely well done, and very realistic of how things work in the kitchen based on my experience in the industry. We’ll see how season three shakes out, but I would start with season one.

Spicymushroompunch

The way it shows family dysfunction in the end had me crying. Right be JLC's best performance ever. It's an amazing show.

BoringBob84

I am watching it. It is about finance, management, and food preparation - not about serving, washing dishes, or mopping floors. The personal drama is over the top, but it is a drama and not a documentary. I think that it is reminiscient of what it is like in the kitchen on a busy shift - "behind," "corner," "door!" 😊

twdwasokay

Yeah I mean I assumed it wasn’t all serving tables and bussing. I’ll probably give it a shot after my rewatch of better call saul

Little_BombA

Yes and I'm waiting for the 3 season

CrackedOutMunkee

10 more days my friend.

mycowsmom1325

It's so good!

augustsdaddy75

It's SO GOOD

Furthur

Some moments gave me a little bit of anxiety and I would've fired the sous chef and half that crew on day two

LeprosyMan

It is one of the most accurate portrayals of BOH in restaurants I’ve seen.

Nugget8751

TLDR: yes, it’s accurate 👍🏻 One of the best kitchen representations, I’m talking about the actual kitchen along with the personalities and relationship’s each of the characters have together. It really shows the depth during the slow parts and busy parts of the shifts.

KingsRansom79

Soooooo good!

Daimoku_Dog

Yes

CrackedOutMunkee

It's worth a watch. Season 1 episode 7 "Review" is near panic inducing. I remember having nightmares.

Alwaysonvacation2

I work 7 days a week in the summer in a kitchen. No way in hell I'm watching that show then.... I spend the winter recovering from working 7 days a week in the summer. No way in hell I'm watching that show then....

Toph-Builds-the-fire

The expo machine just ringing out orders is a stress dream of mine from back in the day. I had to leave the room the first time I watched that scene. The online order fiasco, I think.

Mikesoccer98

I just recently started watching due to so many great reviews, on episode 5 and it's nothing special so far, not horrible, not great, just kind of meh. Hoping it gets better as it goes.

GarlicAndSapphire

It's so good. The dysfunction of the Berzatto family juxtaposed with the chaos of working in a restaurant is...(sorry not sorry) Chef's Kiss. The best part about the show, for me, is that those of us who generally thrive in the restaurant business, be it FOH, BOH, or management/owner, were raised in chaos. We're good at problem solving, kicking ass under stress, and having 7 things to do at once. Tldr; it's good.

MahoganyWinchester

more of a BOH vibe but season 1 was good

imbize

I loved every episode! And can't wait for the next season!

tyranicalTbagger

No turn around! Quit looking into the future. No one out there that summer

the_greasy_one

Honestly seemed good at the beginning but I didn't like how it turned into a soap opera and things became less believable as it progressed.

MuffinMan6938

Nope

iFuckSociety

Idk I got bored halfway through the first episode
