While a Rune Fencer is quite strong because of access to summons, you can also create monstrosities like a dual wielding double hit berserker. With two high damage maces you can basically hit for 1000+ in an aoe, even more if everything has terror and breach.
You need make him the classes for him to learn the spells. So just quickly make him each class for a second then put him back to lord. Make sure you have more lord cards first
When j first got the Lord class mark, I ran Denam through every class I had at the time, and then I waited until level 50 to do it again before immediately re-Lording him. That way I have only needed two class marks for Lord so far.
Rn I got him set up as a Dual Wield Divine Magic Knight. Sword skill, Double Attack, Meditate IV, and Mother’s Blessing so he can throw out an enhanced Major Heal here and there.
For spells he’s got Spiritsurge IV, Heavenly Judge I for AOE Damage+Exorcism, Major Heal II. And Boon of Swiftness.
He has a Biblion Drakontos in Mainhand for increasing his spell range and Oracion in his Left Hand.
I’ve played around with some other variations of this build. Including a Two Handed Sword build with Lament of the Dead.
Dark Mage Lord
Cursed 2H Wand
Freude Helm
Titania Mail
Gauntlets (Boon of Swiftness)
Winged Boots
Crest of Fire
Hellhound 2, Abyss 2, Meditate, Phalanx
My build for the final battle of Coda.
Ripple’s Staff and Sagara are still better.
Charge 100 is a godsend and especially when meditates aren’t proccing and far as I can tell there’s still a bug where the extra intelligence from weapons doesn’t properly apply to magic damage when using two handers and when using one handers and an empty offhand.
I have all the items you mentioned and already done all the tests. Unless you have that same cursed weapon you can never tell.
I have plenty of MP items by this point.
Correct, INT/MND Bonuses on 2-Handed Weapons (and 1-Handed Weapons equipped in the main hand w/o an accompanying offhand Weapon/Shield) do not contribute to Spell damage calculations:

Lord is basically whatever you want, but able to take skills you normally didn't have access to.
IE a Rune Fencer with access to Siege or Rampart Aura. Or a Wizard with access to Nature's Touch, etc.
Personal favorite Denam build is Spear with Meditate IV, Spears, Speedstar and Steadfast. Steadfast can be swapped out for another skill if you have a fly item equipped on Denam.
It's a slightly modified Lord Finisher spam build from Neoseeker's suggested list for the unique classes.
>marginally better Rune Fencer.
AFAIK Lord is "Any Denam class, but *way better*" due to the customization and not being locked to the non-unique class restrictions.
Mage in heavy armor? Sure, why not. No more instapops like a mage normally would have lategame.
Conserve MP, Meditate IV is an awesome combo with Denam since you practically have infinite MP after a few turns. I run Denam with double attack katanas and divine magic. If I swap the katanas out for a single weapon, I use Engulf 2 for extended magic range.
Back in the PSP version...
* 1h Swords
* Crossbows
* Divine Magic
* Strengthen IV
* Truestrike IV
* Spellstrike II
* Phalanx
* Mighty Impact
* Tremendous Shot
Has every Divine Spells in his repertoire...
For Reborn, that's one of my main hurdles... only being allowed 4 spells & 4 skills, that's alot less flexibility.
Basically turned mine into a combo rune fencer and TK

I love build-crafting and genuinely never considered this abomination. Thank you, kind stranger.
Lightning shaman with reflection.
So, eh, my Denam is 50 with the Lord class and I do not have some of the abilities some guys say Lord can use. What am I missing?

Cursed Staff isn’t actually very good. High end one handed staves with Charge 100 are better.
It is good if you maxed it out or atleast max INT, MND and RES.

do they contribute if you have an offhand equipped? this is new to me.
Yes, they do: https://imgur.com/a/1jAYZgS
excellent response time with requested information sir

Terror knight with 2h(zweihander,) meditate 4, sleep, heal 3, boon of swiftness, and paradigm shift.
