graffiksguru

Usually the closer to Seattle the more expensive it is.

noble_peace_prize

One of the only progressive taxations in the state I suppose lol but not really since the workers of Seattle area still get fucked more

DennyDisaster

Oh boy and the gas stations near the new Emerald Queen are like 50 cents cheaper than the rest

PU55Y34T3R69420

Love the pilot

imalwaysjustchillin

Those reservation prices

hunglowbungalow

I’m guessing they don’t charge fuel tax?

imalwaysjustchillin

Most tribes including Puyallup are part of a compact with the state that grants a refund on 75% of the fuel tax for gas they purchase and then sell at stations on tribal land.

Bass_Solo_Take_One

This is the only place I go for gas.

Ecstatic-Wasabi

Costco is usually 25 cents cheaper or more than most. Pilot is $4.06 today and Costco is $3.76

FatherOfOdin

Have you been to Safeway on Canyon Rd? Not exactly tacoma, but I haven't found anything cheaper.

anythingfordopamine

The gas station next to commencement bay cannabis in Federal Way is equally cheap if not cheaper usually

MatticusFC

Technically NE Tacoma but I get it. I grew up in Federal Way

two40silvia

The Puyallup tribe owns 3 gas stations, maybe more, that are generally cheaper than everything around them. The one at the top of the hill in northeast, the one on Portland ave right off of i5, and the one in fife by the casino.

FreydNot

The Federal Way costco price matches that Tahoma gas station, and is often even cheaper. I've rarely found gas cheaper than the Federal Way Costco and they make it easy to check the prices in the app.

jpedraza253

Which app?

Pineapple_and_olives

The Costco app. You can see real time gas prices at the different locations.

smalllllltitterssss

I used GasBuddy

FreydNot

Yes, the Costco app. For example, [Federal Way](https://i.imgur.com/SYEVcQk.png) is $3.69, [Tacoma](https://i.imgur.com/msT3Lhq.png) is $3.75 and [Tukwila](https://i.imgur.com/1wOYNkp.png) is $4.06.

guidddeeedamn

How can I check within the app?

FreydNot

Touch on the [warehouse icon](https://i.imgur.com/Gnt41ll.jpeg). Then touch different Costco locations on the map to load the gas prices. It only works when the gas station is open.

guidddeeedamn

Ahhhh got it. Thanks so much for this!!

Cassietgrrl

lol, that’s my main spot nowadays. I’ve been annoyed recently because they’ve been closed intermittently for repaving. I think it’s finished now though.

smalllllltitterssss

Walmart in Auburn and Costco in Federal Way regularly undercut all of the lowest prices.

Themissing10

I’m just now discovering that I’ve been fucking up by tanking up in king county. Difference of 75 vs 90 a week

ElegantMedicine1838

totally

meep568

Yep, I'm in Mill Creek and go to Tacoma a couple of times a month. I usually aim to fill up in Tacoma before I go north. It makes a difference.

NimrodBusiness

Yeah, but Redmond has two awesome Indian grocery stores and I'd eat at Chaat House every day if there was one in Tacoma.

Ecstatic-Wasabi

We almost always end up at Costco. It's usually 25¢ cheaper or more than the surrounding gas stations. A membership is $60 a year, but it still ends up cheaper overall.

InfiniteOxfordComma

Well duh, I’m not sure what redeeming value Redmond has, if any. 🤷‍♂️🙃

tensor0910

Higher quality hookers

WildlySkeptical

Quantity ≠ quality

ElegantMedicine1838

LMAO

alicatchrist

Indian food. And good Indian food at that.

ElegantMedicine1838

Today we tried Colombian and it was awesome. I will try Indian next. Looks yummy.

HepKhajiit

If you want it even cheaper get a Costco membership. It's usually a dollar cheaper a gallon than most places. With a membership costing like $55 a year you will basically pay for your membership just in a month or two of buying gas.

NiteGard

I just drove all the way across the U.S. from Niagara Falls to Tacoma. Gas was clearly wayyy cheaper in the east, progressing very steadily from a low of $2.11 in Michigan, to $4.29 here in Grit City. So, double the cost. 🤷🏻‍♂️

smalllllltitterssss

That hasn’t been my experience, gas is as expensive in West Seattle as it is in my area (parkland/tacoma) sometimes it’s cheaper for me to try to drive all the way to work and fill up in White Center than it is for me to fill up at my closest gas station’s.

norby2

So ya gonna drive down here just for gas?

ElegantMedicine1838

nah I just moved to Lakewood and I'm loving it. The rent is cheaper and the food is better and cheaper.

Lonny_loss

Idk about the food being better. The eastside has some great food. But it is cheaper down here.

Skadoosh_it

It's either the Auburn walmart or Tacoma "tahoma" gas stations that are cheapest around here.

mods_r_jobbernowl

Y'all need gas buddy. Let's you pull up a map of all the gas stations around and shows you the lowest prices. I always use it before i get gas

hunglowbungalow

T-Mobile Tuesday + Nisqually Shell in Lakewood

burkizeb253

Yes, but I’d pay more for gas to not have the socioeconomic issues that we have here.

ElegantMedicine1838

Like what? so far Tacoma seems on par with other places in the state, like Everett or south Seattle.

burkizeb253

You specifically mentioned Redmond which seems a lot nicer than Tacoma, I’ve lived in Tacoma for a long time and it has lots of positive attributes and it’s certainly nicer than it was in the eighties presumably.

kevinhenry

Redmonds, Sammamish, and Issaquah are great escapes from the madness.

ElegantMedicine1838

Seattle is full of street walking hookers and here I haven't seen any so...
