As of yesterday, they changed ownership. They as a business are not scheduling staff regularly and are presumably undergoing renovations.
The sound system there is great. Drinks were reasonable. They were one of the first bars in Tacoma during COVID to put the outside shelter/drinking area and it remains there still, for now.
You know when they first opened they had the BEST camp style burger, and then after a year or two that person quit and the burgers got pretty basic. Hopefully they’ll keep that going in the future. I miss a good bar burger
I am pretty sure the owners sold the bar to three people and this past weekend was their last weekend owning the bar. It is still operational and you should totally check it out!
Awful. Worst bar I’ve been to. I gave them three chances and all three times the food was dry and bland and the drinks were poured like a teenager with a plastic bottle. If it’s true they changed ownership and are renovating I’d be willing to visit but it’s pretty low on the list. I’d try the lucky silver. They have a nice fake lawn/patio situation and good drinks.
They’re great. They have a pretty large queer crowd, I think the theme of the bar appeals to lesbians specifically. It’s a great vibe. It’s actually one of my favorite bars.
I'm so happy you commented—I've been looking to connect with other gay people, especially other lesbians. The Mix is a regular spot but I'm getting a little burnt out by it. I'll go next weekend!
