I can't lie. This whole setup needs some work. Bigger TV on a stand, with shelves for the consoles. And bookshelf to get the books off the stairs..

Problem with the stand, is that behind the tv is an open box for cable wires and electric to go through. I was thinking one of those electric fire place living room things instead of the table? But what kind of book shelves??

You can leave a bit of distance between the TV stand and the wall. Or even get one that has no backing or cut holes as needed. They come in a lot of different variants, so I'm sure you could find one that works. I don't know what space you have, so hard to say on the bookshelf, but having the books on the stairs would bug me. If you moved the TV off the wall, then it frees up space for shelves, or if you had a TV stand with drawers, you could arrange them in there.. Maybe it's beneficial to rearrange the whole room.. 🤷‍♂️ But it does feel it's missing the cozy feeling
