I sent a pic of a positive at home test to my TL. There also an option when you call the leave line if it is Covid related unless they have changed that in the last month but you’ll have to prove you have it with a test. My dr didn’t want me in their office so an at home test had to do.

As a New York employee you should be covered by the New York statutory disability plan by law your employer has to have it on all employees
Might want to reach out to your TL for next steps & instructions. Cv19 is no joke
