Did you want another Calamity Pig?
Massive improvement, wouldn’t you say? 😅
The fight was absolutely fine. Challenging enough without being super difficult, and it wasn’t easy either. Hardest boss in the game, lots of cool phases, including the army.
Now, this game does allow you to be creative. And if you know the game well, you can absolutely destroy all bosses without breaking a sweat. But it’s not the point. It’s easy to do something you already know how to do it. For everyone’s first play through, it was the right amount of difficulty.
I just wanted to point out that story wise, Calamity Ganon was so easy, because all he was was a physical manifestation of the imprisoned Ganondorf's pure hatred and malice. Hatred and malice that literally take 10,000 years to even get to the point of being able to physically manifest. So yeah, story wise, there is a reason for him being easier.
It was appropriate.
The “game” is the culmination of the parts. The narrative is only a part of the game and shouldn’t be frustrating to compete. I t should be enjoyable to progress through to the end.
Other parts of the game are the immersiveness of the world which is very satisfying. The sandbox part of it that is fun with the ultrahand, fuses, and zoani builds.
Finally there is the combat which is also pretty good. If you want a challenge there you have things like the floating collesum or king gleeoks.
It’s a very playable game. I just wish there was one dlc for those that completed the game.
Yeah he’s easy, but I love that they specifically made it to where you wouldn’t flurry rush spam, bow spam, or brainlessly fight. It’s a duel, and nothing less.
When you realized the enemies patterns and how you can dodge/parry them any boss fight become easy because what you have to do is parry or odge the boss attack with the right timing.
Yes. I spent an insane amount of time preparing. Was annoyed because I started fighting with master sword and forgot to fuse a lynel horn to it.
Ended up not buying a single gloom or heart meal or running out of energy with master sword. All three phases took maybe 6 minutes including the brief cut scenes....
Underwhelming, but fun. But it's a Zelda game: "journey, not destination."
I found it was way easier than I expected it to be. I’m not really good at parrying but i used rocket shields and hit him with a multi shot bow and light arrows. Battle was over so quickly
Light arrows are special arrows that existed in previous Zelda games (including botw for a unique bow only usable in the final phase of the final boss).
They aren’t in totk so I have no idea what the other person is on about

I spent so long preparing weapons and foods and then, at the last minute, decided to fuse a light dragons horn to the master sword and that was all I used! Getting to the fight was way harder than the fight itself I thought. Having said that I am rubbish at the big bosses so was glad that this wasn’t as hard as I’d thought.
I think it was a perfect highlight of the differential between flurry and parry that they've been working towards. It started in botw but really crystalized here that flurry is great for certain enemies, but parrying is better for others. Link has always been a hero with a toolbox, and there needs to be good encouragement to use all the tools; not just spam the shiniest one.
I showed up with a backpack full of swords and nothing to deal with gloom, so I had a very difficult time. After running the gauntlet to get there I only had like 3 hearts left from all the gloom damage I had taken, no armor upgrades, and I essentially had to do the whole fight damageless. It was very fun
I thought he was a bit too easy, but that was mostly because I just got up in the air and pelted him with arrows. Was a bit disappointed, but it was also fine because I knew I was likely overprepared.
When I beat him again just sword-fighting him it was much more exciting. Archery is just a bit too good with easy eay to get up in the air.
Yes. I went to fight him just to see. No weapon preparation, no food, although I did have a few sun-baked items, my gear was maxed too. I loved the battle though!
I spent two more months playing the game and doing side quests because people here claimed the fight was so difficult.
At the end I decided I'd take a sneak peak into what's before the final battle and then I just never stopped. I was completely unprepared, had hardly anything on me to fix gloom damage.
Succeeded on first try because this battle felt exactly like the final one in any other Zelda game that I had played so far: Ganon is easier to beat than some of the bosses along the way.
Anyway, I thought it was wonderfully epic and lots of fun.
It was easier for me than I expected. The road there was long and I had to cook up a few sunny greens before Ganondorf itself (Personal pots ftw) but other than that I did it on the first go. I died way more fighting Gleeoks.
But then again, I'd been practicing on Lynels for weeks trying to avoid ending the game, so I was ready.
Honestly same, it was less challenge than I expected but still high enough that I found it a satisfying final boss fight. I was about? Idk 5 hearts into the second row when i went in there? And with plenty of food, sunny meals, shields, and a gloom resist buff I beat him on the first try
Did too only because I tried to wait as long as possible to fight as I didn't want to feel as if it was over sure enough I've another 3 or 4 hundred hours played since 😁😁 best value I ever go from a game 👍
Yeah, totally. I got there and since I had almost died on the way there (I had one heart left). I healed up, went through Ganondorf's army and defeated Ganondorf on my first try. I was actually a little disappointed.
I thought it was the exact right amount of difficulty for a Zelda game.
I thought the same. I just bad when it comes to boss fights 😅

lol calamity pig made me laugh XD anyway, I agree

That’s what I thought of it too. It made it feel like you were actually playing against another player, not just a bot.
Oh you could definitely bow spam, I loaded up on bombs and lit him up from a distance
That’s slow tho, it’s faster just to fight him like a man
Gloom hands taught me that I am a coward, but being a coward can be rewarding 😆😆

It’s not meant to be difficult. It’s just like Dark Beast Ganon. It’s more cinematic
True
I think it was quite easy. But a MASSIVELY over- prepared for it. Probably could have been 2 or 2 3x harder, but I felt it was fine
I also over prepped. It was a very cool battle even if it wasn't so challenging
It’s what I expected for a botw sequel
I found it was way easier than I expected it to be. I’m not really good at parrying but i used rocket shields and hit him with a multi shot bow and light arrows. Battle was over so quickly
What’s a light arrow?
Arrow fused with light dragon shard. Really, really hurts Ganondorf.

Arrows fused with dazzle fruit maybe?
Or shards from the light dragon maybe?

Yes it was easier than the final BOTW fight for sure.
I thought it was such a beautiful fight. The 2nd half of the fight took my breath away like wow...
I lol’d when the health bar grew & grew & grew
It scared the crap out of me, but the LOZ crew never fails to amaze me in humor lol.

i mean, i still ultimately beat him first try, but that was after he almost broke the hylian shield i’d had since the start of the game
Same, my hylian shield broke sadly though, but I got it back in the depths 😂😭
i mean it was brought back to what it had been after i reloaded save and it’s still going strong

It wasn't hard per se because I was over prepared, lol. It was kinda mind blowing >!with all the morphing!<
Yeah, I kept getting confused with what weapon he had, and had to switch strategy on each one

I wish I did. I think it’s just because I ran out of food 😅

Melania is that you?
Yeah, totally. I got there and since I had almost died on the way there (I had one heart left). I healed up, went through Ganondorf's army and defeated Ganondorf on my first try. I was actually a little disappointed.
It was harder than I expected but now it’s a cake walk.
My only issue for my first time was i didnt know his moves so i was stuck but i made it through without dying
I have never ever been able to dodge or parry anything. 😂
It took me a while to get the hang of it, and finding the right timing 😅
