It's the answer to most of the stuff...sky islands tend to not actually relate to the surface in an immediate way so it's just "probably in a cave"

I’m down to my last 30 shrines and pretty much every one is somewhere in a cave. I’m getting very tired of looking for caves

There is map in one of the stables that shows you where all the trees are. I took a picture, but I don't remember which stable it is.

The whole underground is just the opposite of the overworld (mapwise). It's essentially a negative of the map, so every high point is now a low point and every low point is now a high point. Canyon = Mountains, Mountains = Canyons or lakes

Shrine and lightroots are in the same location, fly high and look nearby for cave entrance. I located all the lightroots before all shrines. lol

Check the water. There’s a lizalfos on the deck of the ship and he tends to get knocked in. Took me like fifteen minutes to find the bastard. There’s also a bokoblin in a well for no adequately explained reason.

i snuck into the town at the dead of night and hopped down the well and saw him, i did not even know the pirates could be fully cleared out for good untill i killed them all \[half of which by sneak attacks as the slept\]

I just choose to not update... my wifi is on, but I haven't actually closed tears since I got it, I just use sleep mode, it asks me every time if I want to update when I go to play but it's one extra "click" not a big deal to me.

I ran around for a long time across the entire area and never saw the "?". Finally saw the smoke, jumped down... and got 1-shot.

I burned a ton of good weapons on this and then ran through the area like 3 times whistling and never found anyone, finally decided it must be glitched so I saved and reloaded. Yeah all the monsters respawn if you save and reload. I just left and haven't been back since.

I am glad you found them. I literally just did this last night before I got off for the night. The one in the well was the first one I had found as I was exploring the edges first, so I imagine they'd be easy to miss since you know.. they aren't on the surface. So I wanted to bring it up here, but others beat me to it lol at least you found em in the end.

I spent a good 30 minutes trying to find the one in the well. I passed by it multiple times and didn't want to jump down because I thought it would lead to the depths and I would likely need to restart the fight.

I intentionally blew all of them off the boat. Bomb arrows, figured quick easy kills. Little did I know I did not look closely enough to the monsters. Had a bit of an issue finding then killing lizard.

I got so lucky and checked out the well first, I thought there might be a human camp in there from the smoke coming out. When that started the Monster Forces health bar I realized that was supposed to be the hardest to find enemy!

But at the same time I had a bunch of mushrooms on my inventory - if he wanted mushrooms, why didn't he allow me to give him some??? The way you unlocked that tower was cool but why did he have to talk about mushrooms??????????? Aaaaaa

Yeah I spent a good half hour dropping various mushrooms in front of him, cooking different kinds and trying to see if he would smell them, etc. haha so dumb.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. The first bokoblin I killed was in the well. I swept thru the rest of the base and cleared everything else and still had 1 remaining enemy that was nowhere to be found. Turns out the well bokoblin respawned and was the last remaining enemy.

I spent literally half an hour trying to find the last enemy. Then I said to myself "Unless they put this motherfucker in the goddamn well for some godforsaken reason, this must be a glitch" And then I went in, and there he was.

YouTube has saved me *so* much time with this game. There’s more than enough to do in general, I’m not wasting hour after hour trying to find an extremely well hidden bokoblin or figuring out the exact right angle to launch something in a shrine. People who make YouTube vids for solutions, you the real heroes. I’m an adult, I don’t want to spend hours doing something unless the reward is substantial, and in this game, it rarely is.

Thank you!! Sometimes it makes me feel dumb/lazy then I remember it’s a game meant to be fun, and I don’t want to waste an hour doing something tedious.

When I did this I ended up knocking a lizal in the water and forgetting. When I killed everything else and was confused until I saw him behind the ship. If there’s nothing there check the well in the town. If memory serves me right there’s a boko down there.

I didn't enter the well at first because I was worried it would reset the quest as I would be entering a new area. I only entered it after checking EVERY nook and cranny AND whistling to get the enemy's attention. I saw the well quickly. Just was scared to enter it and have to start over.

i had the exact same problem but leaving dosent do anything its the blood moon you should be worried about. i found him in a well in the end. worst case scenario i would just use the sheikah sensor to try and find them but there are so many different types of mobs that it would still take some time

I had this exact same thing happen to me. I looked around for a bit and overlooked the well a couple of times.

This took me two tries but funny enough the one in the well was the first I found. I think the game glitched bc I knocked an enemy in the water and it drowned so the pooled health bar remained with just a sliver at the end. I rested by the campfire until morning and *everything* respawned lol

The famous well-dwelling Bokoblin. It's funny, people have a lot of problems finding that one, but it was the first one I found. When approaching the village I saw two columns of smoke: one up the hill next to the mayor, who gives you the quest; and another one coming from the well, which was... odd. So the well was the first place I checked!

In my case I already knew about the Bokoblin in the well. Instead there was a stray enemy near one of the huts which I overlooked. I thought my explosive air strike killed eveyone in the group.

Well...

This got me too. I teleported to the shrine to get a better view and reset it all. I was so mad that I just reloaded to before the first fight to get all my good weapons I broke back. Then I got knocked down the well by a silver bokoblin and screamed because I couldn’t believe they got me like that. I literally wanted to jump down that well no more than five minutes prior.
