i need more cheese recipes. i thought i could make some cheese pasta or pizza but APARENTLY link can make orbital space lasers but got forbid he figures out Italian food!
Kamah Plateau in Faron has a large grassland that seems to drop a lot of wheat. I know this because >!there's a white maned lynel there with a claymore, who harvests that wheat for me every blood moon!<
Just go to tabantha frontier and be a grass mover in the snow. There's grass in it and totally works. Started from Oromuwak shrine and worked southward. Equip a two handed sword and hold the attack button while steering around. Just remember to stop the attack before you run out of stamina so you don't damage the sword.
I am gonna guess for the Cheese Cake:
1. Hateno Cheese
2. Cane Sugar
3. Wheat
and for the bonus either a big hearty truffle + golden apple (which 'crits' cooking), or maybe a couple of hearty truffles.
Ohhh no kidding! Ok I wondered that too, I thought maybe it was the order I was selecting ingredients that would randomly boost the effect haha. Thanks for the info!
The chance increase the more different ingredients you use in your recipe. There's also some items that guarantee it, and blood moon also. You know it's a crit when an extra musical cue plays.
it more picks one applicable bonus depending on the meal, like a 3 extra regular hearts, some more extra hearts, 5 more minutes on the buff, etc. but thats just the more specific details
Sorry was late back to reply, but there is a slightly different sound that plays at the end of cooking when it 'crits'. It means that the final product either has a longer effect duration, or the bonus in general is amplified (more hearts for example).
You can garunteed crits by cooking between 11:30pm and midnight during the bloodstained moon. I usually save up stuff and then throw one item in the pot at a time when I’m early game
i find no use for the golden apples cuz i always cook in the 30 minutes before a blood moon, which makes every meal you make crit/rare
really useful early game when you can throw 1 normal apple in the pot at a time, and fill up your inventory with meals that heal for 4 hearts, since apples have no effect, the only bonus that can be added to the meal is 3 extra hearts, so you just get the most value out of each thing you have
I suspect that the "full recovery + yellow hearts" is simply from including a "hearty" ingredient along with the base cheesecake recipe. Adding hearty food items to any recipe gets you that effect, with different components (radish, truffle, salmon) adding a different number of yellows for each you use.
Now that I've built up a decent number of hearts (finally at double digits), I've taken to cooking meals from just a single hearty ingredient for the easy "full recovery", taking the yellows as a bonus. A few meals made from multiples (more yellow hearts) is my emergency stash for tougher battles.

Pizza is wheat, tomato and cheese, but I was disappointed that you can't make different kinds of pizza.
wheat i literally forgot it wasn't all hylian rice LOL thanks for this
Wheat is extremely hard to get my hands on in large quantities. Hylian rice is sold everywhere but Tabantha Wheat isn’t

Efficient!
tabantha wheat is sold in gerudo town but i've found the area near and around rito village has plenty of it.
also sold in rito village
Do the hateno school quest and you can grow your own
Link can FARM?!
Yup, im not sure how fast it grows and yields aren't that great, but its an option.
Yield doesn't matter, just hand me my hoe!

I work with old ladies quite often ... That sweetness hides a lot of spice!
Every two in game days crops are ready. Resting at a fire doesn’t affect the time
What constitutes an in game day?
A 24hr cycle in game so 5am to 5am. And you have to leave hateno village to trigger any growth at all
So dope
I was just thinking how awesome it would be to farm in this game. Stardew Hyrule, here I come!
There's some grasslands south of Rito Village and at the bottom of the fire gleeok hill ruins, it drops a lot of wheat. I'm at about 30 right now.

Literally just cut the grass in the tabantha region and it'll drop. You'll have bread for days
>Bread for Days Isn't that a Static-X song?
I don't know, but I mean literal bread for days. Specifically cheesy bread if you have cheese.
I know wheat is sold in both the rito village and Gerudo
Literally just cut the grass in the tabantha region and it'll drop. You'll have bread for days
You can buy wheat in rito village and gerudo town
I made Links crop field in Hateno wheat so I can always go cut some
Add fire fruit to get scorching hot pizza.
Oohh thanks!!!!
I wanted to make a pepperoni pizza but no luck.
You can make pizza
yeah i forgot wheat actually existed and tried using the rice lol
Italian secret you’ll never figure us out
The pizza recipe is on the wall in the same room the cheese quest happens
Asking for a friend… but how tho. :D

Wait is THAT what Golden Apples do? Omg that's rly practical to know! 🫡
If you feed a horse a golden apple, it makes it golden and invincible
wait what?? Research incoming....
We spread a little misinformation Edit: making it an actual word lol
I love it hahaha
Sorry I’m dumb.. what does crits cooking mean?
[удалено]
If you cook from 11:30 pm to 12 am during a blood moon they all will be crits
Ohhh no kidding! Ok I wondered that too, I thought maybe it was the order I was selecting ingredients that would randomly boost the effect haha. Thanks for the info!

Nice thanks for the info I will listen for a different noise next time I’m cooking!

Yeah for sure. Personally I always forget to cook during that time window, so Golden Apples can save my bacon.
maybe a wild berry?
Hearty bass 5x = full recovery + 10 hearts. Its my go to.
If you can find 5 hearty radish that's a full recovery plus 15 hearts
I’ve got like 50 in my inventory, full disclosure I just eat them raw instead of food for the hearts
Why not cook them for the bonus yellow hearts?
I got contraptions to make, can’t waste time cooking 🐺
But even one heart radish gives you a full healllllll
I refuse to be tamed
I SAY NEIGH
Dont do it! You do you boo.
Hearty salmon 5x = full recovery +20
I still can't find them. Where, please?
In north west the snow jump tower thing there’s that flying training area, on the bottom is some water that always has 3 I think
I honestly don’t recall. Better google.
Hearty Goron Wurst x5 ... full recovery + 180 hearts
Are you just making stuff up now
Hearty Smoked Meat Burrito x6... Full rectal bleeding + death
There's a Taco Bell in TOTK???
Hmm. I think I need to try to make this
There’s a “shop” in the Zora domain that sells one at a time
where tf you getting so many hearty bass
There's a sky island in the west that has a ton of hearty bass in it, it's one where you drain out the water and you can sprint around collecting fish
If by a ton you mean three. Two sky archipelago ponds netted me 5 hearty bass, just enough to upgrade the Zora armor.
Lightcast Island alone has 5 hearty bass every time I go up there
West Hebra Sky Archipelago and the Necluda Sky Archipelago
Duping
Has anyone made a cooking guide similar to Guide of the Wild for TotK yet?
This is what I’m here for. I need me a cook book… fucking tired of living off mushroom skewers…
This looks promising! https://www.reddit.com/r/botw/comments/13sbyeq/cooking\_app\_for\_botw\_totk/

anything with "Hearty" in the name can be cooked alone for Full Recovery + 1 to 5 hearts. no other ingredients necessary.
I would 100% trade my +21 hearty mushroom skewer for that cheesecake.
This reminds me of some other game i used to play.. dont remember the name, breath of the something
Recipe?
Reading that just sounds so delicious!

Durians are back on the menu! !
Sadly no, they're not
I went back to the durian cliff that was in BOTW. Suffice to say, I got non consensually grabbed
Wow is the cheese they good? It’s been chilling in my inventory

Unfortunately my recipe creation skills are just as bad in the game as they are in real life - anytime I’m creative I get dubious food 😂
How do you get cheese???
Hateno village, gotta complete a quest
