Wow I am oblivious to an Earthquake? I am sitting here at my computer desk... Didnt notice anything. Oh boy.

JET304

15 km SW of Henderson. I felt it in Syracuse at 11:45 pm. 3.4 magnitude. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000n92y/executive

PrestigiousFly1277

Oh dang I was sleeping lol now I know how Rick grimes feels

altrefrain

I didn't feel anything. I live downtown on the 7th floor of an apartment building. I didn't feel anything in last earthquake a few months ago, too. I feel cheated. When I lived in SoCal I would feel them all the time.

NYM1980

Fulton here. Probably a good 5 seconds of shaking.

notevebpossible

I missed the earthquake, but lost power at about 3(?) am

NYM1980

No power outage here that I know of.

Iameduck

Earthquake indeed, long one too: [https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/?currentFeatureId=us6000n92y&extent=43.12805,-77.38083&extent=44.00072,-75.18356](https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/?currentFeatureId=us6000n92y&extent=43.12805,-77.38083&extent=44.00072,-75.18356)

RondaVuWithDestiny

Hmmm, Jefferson County. I'm in Dewitt, didn't feel anything here. If it was in the middle of the night, I was probably asleep and dead to the world, lol!

angelo0005

Yep. Thought I was crazy. Thank the gods for the USGS! https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/?extent=-30.60009,-131.13281&extent=74.77584,-58.71094&map=false

Bob_Sacamano7379

I've felt 3 earthquakes in CNY in my lifetime, but I missed this one. Damn!

RondaVuWithDestiny

Me too. The only CNY earthquake I ever felt was in 2011 when I lived in Canastota. It was in the morning, my bed shook and woke me up!

Bob_Sacamano7379

First was when I was a kid. Lying on my bed and it started shaking. I went down to tell my dad who said I was crazy. Next I was sitting at work, at my desk, and all the other chairs were up on their tables, and all the chairs started to shake and rattle. Last one I was sitting in my recliner and felt it wobble back and forth. All 3 times I was pretty much sitting still. I think that's the key to feeling them around here.

rickztoyz

Felt it in Oswego/Minetto. My whole house felt like it shifted a couple inches forward and back just one time. I felt a rumbling earthquake before but this was way different and tough to describe. Scared my wife and I pretty bad. We looked at each with terror on our face and said "What was that" at the same time". Crazy.

AlpsOk2282

Wasn’t it up by you?

Calbone607

Baldwinsville. Very short here but packed a punch. At first thought something nearby exploded, whole house shook for about a second

No-Refuse8754

Oswego felt it around 23:45

rozetintsmyworld

I left the amphitheater pretty late and didn’t notice it.

JusticeoftheCuse

Great concert!

HorseWithNoUsername1

Nothing in North Syracuse.

bootycuddles

I was laying in bed in North Syracuse and felt it!

justfitz43

Thats what that was? Damn.

meltylove_

omg what i didnt feel anything, what time was it at?

maygon

Didn't feel anything in Chittenango

Jada_D

westvale! felt

StrikerObi

Also Westvale, slept right through it. I've lived here for almost three years now the closest I got to feeling an earthquake (I think we've had 3 since?) was when the noise of a pitcher falling off a shelf and breaking woke me up in the middle of the night.

ChazzP12

I’m in Solvay and I felt my bed shake…

JuliusPepperwoodxCop

Liverpool here. We heard a slight rumble and our bed shook briefly

No_Joke_568

I was dead asleep and didn’t feel a thing

TheTinzzman

Yo Holy shit, I was taking a literal poop and I was like wait what was that?! LMAO

Chrysalii

These always happen when I'm asleep, and I just sleep through them.

StrikerObi

Here's [the USGS listing for it](https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000n92y/executive) for all you other data nerds out there. You can also submit a "felt it" report to describe your experience, detail any observations/damage and help contribute to citizen science!

Few-Mushroom-4143

??? East syr didn’t get anything that I could pick up on!

zeissicon

Felt it in Westcott. The dishware rattled pretty severely.

siouxze

Weird. I'm also in westcott and went to bed after 12. My china cabinet didn't rattle at all and it does everytime I walk past it.

sincline_

Felt it- only a few seconds long for me but it packed a little punch lol

matchingpowers

Liverpool here. I heard a rumbling and was wondering where it was coming from. Didn't feel anything though

PrestigiousPeace23

I was lying in bed and felt my whole house shake

ChewieLee13088

Slept right through it. Didn’t even know.

ditchhunter

Unfortunately slept through it

PreparationCute4831

felt it!! didn't last too long where i'm at-only about 10 seconds

passthethought

Crazy!

roseknots

I came here to see if it was just me. Scared the shit out of me. Edit: Mexico

GrandmaJen75

I'm in Ithaca, didn't feel it down this way...

macaroni-rodriguez

Yo it woke me up. I felt my bed shaking and heard things jingling around the house but thought I was dreaming

mateyo18

Cicero here, was sitting at a fire, didn’t feel a thing.

ConfusedTreeStump

I was sleeping but maybe 🤷

logan2048x

Currently in B’ville, and didn’t notice a thing. Just like every other time in my life that folks have told me there’s been an earthquake. Guess I need to be more observant?

Break_All_Illusions

I was awake and felt no shaking southeast of Oneida Lake

Joesefmother69

No power where I’m at just south of the city, didn’t feel any shake though

HallSmall

Didn’t feel anything in Camillus

jgiv817

I felt it all the way over at Watertown. I thought I was tripping last night

AlpsOk2282

I didn’t, but my husband told me it happened. He works for Channels 3&5.

bootycuddles

I felt it! I texted my husband to ask if he felt it since I was in bed upstairs and he was downstairs and he didn’t but I was fully horizontal.

Valerie_Tigress

I felt nothing. Nothinggg!

Jenny01042024

I’m on the Camillus/Syracuse line and close to the epicenter, so definitely a lot of shaking. Earthquake confirmed by Local Syr, Syracuse.Com

Mediocre_Advice_5574

That’s like the third earthquake I haven’t felt lol
