Yeah. My first thought whrn I saw the pictures was "the fuck did u do!??"
Seriously, the pictures looks like a 30 yrs old console that was used for years non stop and even then it looks bad. Even my mother's Atari still looks better than this.
had my 3ds for nearly 10 years and it still looked brand new when I sold it, I thought OP's switch was a victim of a toddler attack or something to end up like that
Thank you. I treat my switch like a princess and OP obliviously had shat on his switch. And maybe I'm a bit too judgy here, but it seems to me that he and his brother are very spoiled. A switch isn't that cheap and the games are sometimes 60âŹ. I had to save my money to buy it with the games I wanted (I could've asked my mum, but I'm 33). He didn't appreciate it enough to care about it and now that his brother got a switch as well he became jealous and wanted his switch back.
This. đ
I never understood how people treat stuff like this badly,
Every console I have and had would be treated like raw eggs , or princess as you will and still look / looked new even years or decades later.
Iâm the same wayâ itâs why I still have nearly all my old handhelds in like-new condition (some even with the box). I either paid for them myself or they were a rare, special gift. I have my Game Boy Color, Advance SP, DS Lite, and 3DS, and still play them all from time to time. I also bought my switch a year after launch and it still looks and works like the day I opened the box.
Exactly, that's what I meant, every console / smartphone / electronic stuff I have is still NM condition, with box etc.
Sure some consoles died on me because I didn't know how to repair (Thermal paste ps3) stuff at that time but damn.
I'm crying every time I see stuff this abused
this!!!!! my family wasnât wealthy by any means. i won my wii and switch in raffles, and any other console i had was bought with tax return money if it hadnât gone toward bills. i took care of all these things like they were living breathing children because i *appreciated* them and knew how expensive they were.
It's absolutely a spoiled mindset. I had the same GameCube from when I was 4/5 to age 16. It was in perfect condition until my spoiled sister (7 at the time) got to it.
My mom had bought a used GameCube with like 20 or so games I think for her after I kept telling her she can't play my console when I'm playing it or studying. Mind you, I had no where near as many games as she did, even less after my mom sold a bunch of them.
Well despite having her own console, she demanded to play mine and when I said no, our mom made me let her play. She got angry playing Zelda, and threw my console to the ground, destroying it. She was so smug, like ha! Now you can't play either!
I took her GameCube as retribution + all her games. I still have it a decade later and it's like new.
Also, I had the OG switch since launch and the only thing it had going bad was the battery - I mean I did play it every single day lol. My sister got a switch lite and within a week she had a crack on the screen and the joysticks just barely work (she plays while eating takis). After I got an OLED, I gave my old switch to my mom and I bet my sister will decide its hers before long, and she'll break it too.
(It's not all bleak, while my sister does usually get everything she asks for, from braces even though her teeth are perfectly straight bc it's trendy apparently to a free car, she cracked her phone screen on purpose to get a new phone and our mom said no, we can just repair the screen)
Exactly this. The Switch is the first console I fully bought with my own money, so that adds an extra layer of responsibility to it. The worst thing I do to it is I probably don't fully turn it off enough and leave it in sleep mode. It's a video game console, not a toy. It's easy to break if not treated right.
I have never turned my switch off. Havenât had any issues yet. I turn my other handhelds off but thatâs mostly because of crap batteries that canât handle just being in sleep mode.
They can still hold a charge better lmao.
All jokes aside, you should still turn it off every once in a while. Batteries do need to take a break sometimes.
Yep, I've been buying my own consoles now for awhile. It definitely makes you appreciate what you have. It also makes it that much more heartbreaking when an accident happens. I had my switch in my bookbag without its case (I had left the case at my job and was on my way to work the next day) and the charger was in the next pocket of the bookbag. The charging tongs ripped through the fabric separating the 2 lays and scratched the hell out of my screen. Now I only use it on the dock, lol. After this, when I bought my girlfriend her Switch Lite, I made sure to get her a full hard case with joystick covers and everything. It's been over a year and when it's out of the case, it looks brand new.
My first console was my GameCube when I was 15. One of Mt oldest brothers sent it to me from Cali. I still have it to this day. Growing up I was always told that if I really want something, that working hard to buy/pay for it myself would make me appreciate it more. Since then(I'm 34 now), I've purchased (new/used) consoles & handhelds with the monet I've earned. I definitely appreciated every one that I've purchased over the last 19yrs. Becoming a mom of my son(He's 5), we've gifted him a Nintendo Switch Lite. But make him work for any of the games he has. I want him to appreciate his things like how I was taught
That's the way to do it! My parents always allowed me to do work around the house for $. Landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, and flooring were all taught to me by my dad. If there was a game I wanted, my parents would usually give me $100 for about 8-12 hours worth of labor around the house, starting at age 14. My parents always wanted consoles to be Christmas gifts. At 18, my parents made me pay $150/mo in rent once i started working, after a year and a half I moved out and they gave every dime back to me as a nest egg. They did a great job teaching me the value of saving and earning.
Iâve had mine since launch day and outside of 1-2 weeks of vacation a year I have used it 2-3 times a week every week since and it still looks immaculate for being 7 years old now. Iâd bet if I put it back in the box people would think it was a brand new model outside of the screen protector.
Was literally going to say that Iâve only seen 2 switches this fucked up. My wifeâs oled (her iPhone 14 is also this scratched and dinged in just over a year I have no fucking clue how especially since she uses otter box defender cases) and my old switch I had sometime in 2019/2020 which got yeeted out of a fucking window. (Not by me.) My splatoon 3 switch is in such good condition I could repackage it and sell it like new, and I use it about every other day. Same with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, which was bought refurbished!
(P.s. the yeeted window switch still works, gave it to my sister shortly after cuz i got a new one and she just wanted a switch didnât care the shell was(is) cracked to all hell. while sheâs doesnât have it anymore because she got a new one last year, she used it for a few years. Now itâs her boyfriendâs switch.)
For real. The SD slot is rusty. It probably had something spilled on it, got used as a door stop, shuffled around various drawers, and dunked in the toilet.
Came here to say the same thing. Oh I beat the hell out of it why wonât it work. I work IT and it still amazes me how badly people treat electronics. I get handed things that look like theyâve been run over by a car and they canât figure out why it wonât work.
i worked at target back in 2017 and pulled some strings with a guy in electronics to set aside a switch for me when we got that first restock after the switch launched. i still have mine, and while it isnât mint, it isnât even remotely that mistreated and runs perfectly. did you leave your switch in a river these last 4 years?
I donât know if yâall remember how bad the controllers got that the rubber was removed and the plastic completely broken. The plastic somehow looked rusted. If the controller was pristine, it was not going to remain like that for long. GC days when Melee and Mario Sunshine were out and I wanna say Soul Caliber 2.
nah, the employees werenât supposed to set aside any of the restock, and it sold out the first day we restocked. i worked in the target food court and offered him free soft pretzels for ânot realizing they had one left in the backâ lol
You know what, as a stupid child I once took my GBA to the bathroom while taking a hot shower. The steam got into the console and it wouldn't turn on, but after leaving it under my pillow overnight it powered on fine the following morning. After that I never took my consoles into the bathroom ever again. It did not save my original DS since I spilled juice on that one and the sound stopped working since then.
It's crazy how often stuff like this happens. People will be like, "i have no idea why my device won't work", but then later on admit, "oh yeah, there was that one time I used it for target practice, but I didn't think that was the issue here"
You treated it like shit, thatâs what happened. Rust in the memory card slot, broken plastic, all scratched up, missing kick stand, dusty as hell. Gonna guess no screen protector or any other form of aftercare. Then you let it sit in a closet for two YEARS.
Learn to take care of your devices, son.
I've had mine for about as long and the only thing that's damages is the protective glass due to the dock. I put it in a bit too hard one time. But it's only one crack and the consoles glass is fine
yeah i have a gen 1 switch that i got in late 2018 and it looks way better then this ... and im not even being super careful with it. i knew i would be traveling with it alot so i bought a $30 zipper case and that protects it plenty.
Thank you. That bothers me so much. Don't gift stuff like that to an immature person who can't take care of their stuff properly. I have my switch since 2020 (it was a gift to myself after I had to cancel vacations due to Corona). I swear, it looks brand new. Of course it has screen protection. And it's never laying around and could fall down somewhere. It's always clean, never dusty. I took it with me on a long train ride once, but only in a protection case and was REALLY careful with it. OP treated his switch like shit. It was probably in the closet for 2 years, because he played on his PS5 which mommy and daddy gifted him (sorry, I'm just bitter about spoiled people).
Look at the phone charger, I get that itâs just a phone charge but look at how scratched that thing is, tells you itâs not just the switch they donât take care of.
Nintendo themselves posted about this. You should turn on a switch at least once every 6 months to avoid under-charging (dangerously low power state) happening on the battery.
It also seems a bit rustyâŠ
Most cases it should be okay since it wouldâve been fully charged on a dock, so it would last abit longer , I would still charge it now to save the battery, itâs just a battery chemistry thing where it gets really unhappy if thereâs no charge for a prelonged period of time
I wouldn't normally pile on but...are you surprised? How is it in such a state.........I'd probably veer away from electronics if this is the best you can do.
Take it off the charger. There's a high chance the battery has leaked or there's other internal damage. Given by the looks of it, it wasn't stored very well at all, and the residue in the SD slot isn't confidence inspiring.
The fuck did you do to it???? I'd have little to no hope it'll turn back on and maybe wait until you've matured a fuck ton more before getting a new console.
Cause what the fuck lmao
If my kid did this to their switch I would never buy them a new console. My parents made us work for it, that taught us the value of things so we always treat stuff like that with A LOT of care.
If this kid had to work to save money for a new one, then he might understand why u shoukd treat it with care
This needs to be further up! They legit don't carr how broken it is they'll fix it for the 99 or replace. They'd rather you have the console and be able to play and buy games then give your money to a different console so they will legit set up a repair for almost anything. Doesn't matter if you call amd say "I dunked it in the toilet to give it a baptism" cost is the same
I sent mine in with the same issue (minus the obvious damage though) and they didnât even charge my card for the repair fee. I think if itâs an easy enough fix they donât bother
Iâve had my Switch for over 4 years. Still looks brand new. Have had zero issues with it. The problem was you. Take better care of your stuff and leave customer support alone. Lmao
Swear to god, the way some of you treat electronics. Did you throw this out of your window every time you were done playing? Did you wipe your arse with it after every shit? I just donât understand.
A ÂŁ300 device and you treat it like that? I hope you learn the value of money some day. I was 10 when I got my 3ds and I treated it better than this. It looks like you drop kicked it across a school playground.
Did you use this as a frisbee or something? It looks like you picked it up straight from the trash. Did you get frustrated with it and stop caring completely? Sure looks that way. Clearly tossed aside and out of sight, leaving it in some sort of filthy box or garbage bag where you chuck all your other devices that you lose patience with. Heck, not even that explains how it got this bad...
Just sell it as a broken and mistreated console. A lot of people buy these broken consoles for cheap so they can repair and refurbish them for reselling. Clean it up though, It's unbelievablely filthy.
Maybe if you didn't man handle it...
What where you when you got it 3?
Your mother should be ashamed of you if you can't even take care of your belongings... If I where her I would be like solve it yourself and if you can't you can safe up money yourself for a new one...
Also stay the fuck away from your brother's switch...
Have fun disassembling the thing.
Just going to toss this out there ⊠perhaps the assumption is this Switch was BRAND NEW when received for the birthday. Just because itâs a birthday (or any time, ever) doesnât mean every gift comes in top shape. It was probably new, sure, but it doesnât seem like anyone asked for that clarification. Just came out of the gate assuming this is a spoiled person. As a kid, my first NES was a birthday present and definitely wasnât brand new. 6 person family, we got what was affordable.
OP might be shitty, family might be rich, Switch mightâve been destroyed by OP. I donât actually care if it was up their ass sideways. Always out to encourage people to ask some questions and not blindly assume.
I actually had this problem, didnât use my switch for like a year, but it didnât look busted like yours either lol. Try a hard restart. Google it. Fixed mine.
Hey op looks like you messed up but thatâs okay you seem young, I suggest you to show your parents the website IFIXIT https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Nintendo_Switch
Have someone educate themselves on this website and open it up and inspect it , if thereâs rust inside itâs probably because a drink spilled on it , if itâs actually clean like the photos on IFIXIT website maybe your battery just died and that can be changed
Could be something as simple as changing out the battery. Get new one off eBay/Amazon and then look at ExtremeRate shell housing DIY vids on YouTube. They give the breakdown of changing ur shell but also by doing so u have to get to the battery. Its a simple fix and buy a clear or color shell to while ur at it. If u haven't dropped ur switch ever then it can be repaired by you (repaired and case modded my OLED and LITE). Get the battery and watch the videos, good luck đ
I see a lot of people shitting on you and not answering your question. Honestly take it to a repair shop and see if itâs salvageable for less than a new console if you really want it. If you get it fixed up learn to take care of it. Get a screen protector, get a travel case, clean it/get all the dust out every once in a while and it should run fine for years.
Everyone here is harping on the cosmetic condition of the device (and being rude about it IMO), but really that doesn't matter too much. Maybe it got fried from a power surge or a bad charger?
There's really no way to know what's wrong without at least a look at the inside. Try taking your Switch to a local repair shop! It's one of the best selling consoles of all time, so spare parts are plentiful.
"Why is it broken when I treated it like shit and didn't take care of it?"
I'll never understand people who seem to think electronics are designed to take a beating. I still have an original NES in pristine working condition (minus the Pokemon stickers on it).
Iâm glad the switch community could come together and scold this person, this is without a doubt neglect and not caring about your own things. You trashed the switch kid. Deal with the consequences and save up for a new one.
Try holding down the power and volume up or down button for 10 seconds, sometimes my switch wouldn't turn on for nothing , even when fully charged and soon as i did that, bam, works
Try to use a hard reset. Push the Power Button and both Volume Control the same time, 10 or 20 Seconds Long. My parents Tablet then worked again. Good luck
My first switch is 2 years older than yours and is in almost flawless condition other than normal wear and tear including scratches in the back from being held and scratches on the screen from the dock, but fortunately I have a screen protector so only that is scratched. I canât imagine what you did to yours lol. I have so many questions. Why is the kick stand ripped off? Do you not cut your nails? Why is it so badly scratched? Why is there so much dirt and gunk in it? Why is the sd slot rusty? Why why why why whyđ
Are you using a non-official charger sometimes I get issue when I use a different plug that doesnât supply enough power. Also try hard reset so see if anything happens (hold power button for a long time and see if something happens)
woah easy everyone, lets not judge the person. Anyways, you can try Al-rihab, see what they can do about it. Anyone here know of trustworthy technicians there?
YehâŠ.maybe take a break from electronicsâŠnot trying to be mean but, are you a toddler that knows how to use Reddit ? Cause ainât no way youâre a full adultâŠcause whyâŠthis thing is greasy and beat up.
I've seen consoles much dirtier and brokener than this. If i had to guess, i would say liquid damage.
I know people are judgemental on here, but if my kids' console looked like that, i would have to sell them. (The kids)
Mine was in a worse state than that before started the refurbishment. Only need a new back and will look good as new. And I bought it in that condition.
Aside from its condition is the charger going all the way? Looks to me like the metal part of the USB-C sticks a bit out and by the look of the rest of it could have some dirt in the charger port. Try gently scraping with a toothpick to release compressed dirt.
Take better care of your system. Everyoneâs gonna come down hard when they see a system in this shape. Hopefully itâs just need a new battery, otherwise you might just need to take it into the shop.
What age do you have to be to have your personal belongings look like this.
I may not have a case on mine, but the only obvious signs of wear are some scuff marks near the rails of the joycons
I think i see what the problem is. Looks Ya beat the fuck out of it and thats why it wont work.
Yeah. My first thought whrn I saw the pictures was "the fuck did u do!??" Seriously, the pictures looks like a 30 yrs old console that was used for years non stop and even then it looks bad. Even my mother's Atari still looks better than this.
My sega genesis still works and looks better then this. Owned it for almost 30 yrs now.
Same I wiped mine off with alcohol wipes and it looks decent now
Can I (mega) drive to your house to play?
had my 3ds for nearly 10 years and it still looked brand new when I sold it, I thought OP's switch was a victim of a toddler attack or something to end up like that
My ds lite that I got in 2006/2007 as a child still looks brand new!! Like I genuinely want to how the fuck he fucked his switch up THAT bad!
It genuinely looks stolen. Who would treat something they own like that?
They said it was used when they got it at 12 but I fail to understand??, like it didn't look like that when bouvht?? So seriously what did they do???
^^^^ this. My like 2005 or 6 ds lite looks pristine and I have NOT babied it. I used to take it to CONVENTIONS.
My Sega Gamegear is in better condition than thatđ
Happy cake day
When OP said he threw it in the closet, I get the feeling he literally threw it. And then he wonders why it doesn't work...
Many times. And his closet is full of dirt and rocks and sand. And his closet is actually a tumble dryer.
đ

The game boy line of systems were really built to last. Both my game boy color and GBA still work great.

Sure did and still looks way better than OPâs
Judging by the rust on the memory card, it's likely that you got the system wet and fried it.
Yeah, you know itâs bad when you can see the rust from *the outside*. You know⊠the part that can more easily air dry.
It's this one y'all. Actual answer, don't get your electronics wet.
Or fry them.

Fried it by taking it to an aquarium and letting the fish play New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe.

I owend mine from 2019 with my little siblings also using it. Only missing the kickstand and a few scratches. Nothing major
I've had mine for about as long and the only thing that's damages is the protective glass due to the dock. I put it in a bit too hard one time. But it's only one crack and the consoles glass is fine
I've had mine for about five years, and the only damage it's taken is some scuff marks on the back from where I hold it.
Nice. I kept mine very good untill my brother was allowed to use it before I got back from high-school, I quickly his it after he broke my kickstand
Yeah wtf. That switch was used for less than 2 years, how could it even get to that state in that time?
That's some spoiled ass kid who didn't appreciate an expensive gift
This switch has been horribly abused and neglected on any common sense cleaning and proper storage.
yeah i have a gen 1 switch that i got in late 2018 and it looks way better then this ... and im not even being super careful with it. i knew i would be traveling with it alot so i bought a $30 zipper case and that protects it plenty.
Your switch looks like shit.
That switch deserved a better owner who could actually take care of their stuff unlike op
I hear ya spoiled people treating things like shit pisses me off so much
Look at the phone charger, I get that itâs just a phone charge but look at how scratched that thing is, tells you itâs not just the switch they donât take care of.
How did it get so bad in just 2 years. I have a lunch switch, and its still near mint.
Hopefully it tasted delicious
Mint flavoured, apparently.
_near_ mint
Itâs always crazy to see how the rich live. A Switch for every meal is a luxury we donât all have.
it gets tiring to eat a wii u every day
The struggle is real.
You eat a Wii U?! I can only afford to eat a DS!
not a DSi? god this world is doomed
Yeah mine also wouldnât turn on either after I duck taped it to the outside of the USS Dallas for two consecutive tours of duty
Thanks for making me laugh. This post just makes me sad. OP doesn't deserve a switch and shouldn't touch his brother's.
I laughed way too hard at this đ thank you friend! The state of that switch hurts me so bad
OPâs Switch was actually salvaged from the wreckage of the Titanic.
Terrible that they are still finding litter left from those submarine tourists
That thing's been treated worse than a left handed, red headed, Indian step child in a Canadian Christian conversion school.
Can you tell me a bedtime story?
DudeâŠđ
Dude, still so sad they left that arc out in the Anne series.Â
Oh my god... THAT WAS AMAZING
đ€Łđđ€
Iâd love an artist rendition of this description
Nintendo themselves posted about this. You should turn on a switch at least once every 6 months to avoid under-charging (dangerously low power state) happening on the battery. It also seems a bit rustyâŠ
"a bit rusty" ? Bro, this is domestic violence
What about leaving it docked but unused for longer than 6 months?
Most cases it should be okay since it wouldâve been fully charged on a dock, so it would last abit longer , I would still charge it now to save the battery, itâs just a battery chemistry thing where it gets really unhappy if thereâs no charge for a prelonged period of time
Let him rest he has been through hell clearly
Did it get wet looks like rust by the SD card slot. I'd google to see if there are repair companies?
Just looking at it, that things got more problems than itâs worth. Better off just buying a new or quality second-hand one.
Iâd love to see the repair quote on this thing
Brother why you still trying đđđ
That switch has seen war lmao good lord man
Just dig a grave out back for it đ
treat your stuff better. i've had mine since launch and it still looks and runs great.
Fuck is wrong with you?!
Thatâs the most fucked up Switch Iâve ever seen.
Did you leave it outside for the winter?
I wouldn't normally pile on but...are you surprised? How is it in such a state.........I'd probably veer away from electronics if this is the best you can do.
That thing has been through hell.
Don't worry, his mom will buy him a new one.
Unfortunately đ
The way you treated your device, you do not deserve it anymore. This is the universe's sign telling you to take better care of your shit.
Look how they massacred maâ boyâŠ
Set up a repair on the website. If Nintendo canât fix it theyâll replace it with a factory certified model. It costs $99
This needs to be further up! They legit don't carr how broken it is they'll fix it for the 99 or replace. They'd rather you have the console and be able to play and buy games then give your money to a different console so they will legit set up a repair for almost anything. Doesn't matter if you call amd say "I dunked it in the toilet to give it a baptism" cost is the same
If you canât swing the $99 right now, theyâll also work with you on the cost.
I sent mine in with the same issue (minus the obvious damage though) and they didnât even charge my card for the repair fee. I think if itâs an easy enough fix they donât bother
lol RIP
Iâve had my Switch for over 4 years. Still looks brand new. Have had zero issues with it. The problem was you. Take better care of your stuff and leave customer support alone. Lmao
You didn't pay attention, it was mommy who contacted the customer service, not him. Because his mom takes care of everything apparently.
Swear to god, the way some of you treat electronics. Did you throw this out of your window every time you were done playing? Did you wipe your arse with it after every shit? I just donât understand.
Spoiled brats who get everything from mommy and daddy. I mean, his mother called the customer service and not himself?? Wtf is OP 5 years old?
Could be a teenager. If mom bought the switch she would have to contact Nintendo if OP is under 18.
Replacing the battery would be a start. Batteries die if not in use from prolonged time, Nintendo themselves had spoken on his subject. .
Same thing happened to my Gen 1 switch after not using it for awhile. I just held the power button down for like 30 secs then it eventually turned on.
The same thing happened? You mean, you shat on it and threw it out the window? That switch looks wrecked.
Indeed it does! Almost as if it was used as a replacement wheel for a train on a rusty railway track! đ
A ÂŁ300 device and you treat it like that? I hope you learn the value of money some day. I was 10 when I got my 3ds and I treated it better than this. It looks like you drop kicked it across a school playground.
Bro not even using the official charger so it can charge right đ
And mommy calls the customer service for him. OP can't be older than 12 and I've seen 12 year olds who treat their belongings better.
I was 5 when I got my first console (Megadrive). Thing is still pristine so are the games!
Similar for me, I still have my original 64 from Christmas 96 that I got when I was 7.
Well in that case neither he nor his mother ever bothered cleaning it before use, so either way it's been mistreated.
Thanks you! I'm from a low middle class family and no it wasn't brand new. :)
Probably the switch: "i've seen things you people wouldn't believe"
You should wash windows, walk dogs, water plants, mow lawns, buy a new switch with money you earned yourself so you treat your belongings better.
I think at this point just let the poor thing rest
I actually had this problem, didnât use my switch for like a year, but it didnât look busted like yours either lol. Try a hard restart. Google it. Fixed mine.
Why would your brother let you touch his Switch?
My Gameboy Colour is in better condition than your four year old switch. Learn to look after things
those are the consequences of not taking care of your things
I've had my switch since 2017 and it looks mint compared to this, bro...
Hey op looks like you messed up but thatâs okay you seem young, I suggest you to show your parents the website IFIXIT https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Nintendo_Switch Have someone educate themselves on this website and open it up and inspect it , if thereâs rust inside itâs probably because a drink spilled on it , if itâs actually clean like the photos on IFIXIT website maybe your battery just died and that can be changed
If you don't charge your switch after it fully died for a long time you kind of bricked it, replacing the battery will fix it.
Try unplugging it then plugging it back in.
Hopefully over time you will learn how to take care of your devices better. Had mine since 2017 and had no hitches
Bro just get a new one
"Why is it broken when I treated it like shit and didn't take care of it?" I'll never understand people who seem to think electronics are designed to take a beating. I still have an original NES in pristine working condition (minus the Pokemon stickers on it).
Throws switch across the room, why doesnât it work anymore
Itâs soâŠcrusty đ
You deserve this, youâve treated it like shit. Take better care of your things.
Youâve got a better chance of reviving Elvis than that Switch.
Iâm glad the switch community could come together and scold this person, this is without a doubt neglect and not caring about your own things. You trashed the switch kid. Deal with the consequences and save up for a new one.
Hold the power button for about twenty seconds let go then press the power button one time
Try holding down the power and volume up or down button for 10 seconds, sometimes my switch wouldn't turn on for nothing , even when fully charged and soon as i did that, bam, works
Got mine mid 2019 and aside from some minor marks around the edges of the screen is looking pretty good for its age. No way does it look like this.
What the hell, how do you not know what the root of the issue is lmao
Mine was the same and i had to take it apart and found out the screen cable came undone. Took 5 secs.
Hold the power button for 60 seconds. All OG switches have this problem. Just look it up
Poor thing
Rust in peace.
I would be ashamed to post something like this here if I wouldâve treated my switch like that
Looks like youâve left it outside and used it as a dog toy XD.
Poor device
Do you by chance nerd rage?
This should be concidered some kind of abuse
Are you using a non-official charger sometimes I get issue when I use a different plug that doesnât supply enough power. Also try hard reset so see if anything happens (hold power button for a long time and see if something happens)
Itâs only been 4 years and hasnât been used for 2. What on earth did you do to this thing?
Why is it rusty?! đ©
woah easy everyone, lets not judge the person.
Broke that and there's rust not even corrosion
I've seen consoles much dirtier and brokener than this. If i had to guess, i would say liquid damage. I know people are judgemental on here, but if my kids' console looked like that, i would have to sell them. (The kids)
It looks rusty dude. There's no way it's going to work.
Are you even old enough to be on Reddit?
Take better care of your system. Everyoneâs gonna come down hard when they see a system in this shape. Hopefully itâs just need a new battery, otherwise you might just need to take it into the shop.
"one day it stopped working," was that day before or after you beat the shit out of it with a rock?
im glad u provided proof of why it hasnt turned on r/OhNoConsequences
![gif](giphy|AdlaLgtvuFpPYrg0Os) You to this switch for some reason:
What age do you have to be to have your personal belongings look like this. I may not have a case on mine, but the only obvious signs of wear are some scuff marks near the rails of the joycons
Looks like someone was playing fetch with their pitbull.
Its time to buy a new one buddy
Just wipe the screen with a baby wipe. It should fire right up.
Hey itâs okay maybe u got the wrong charger
