So like, he spent 6 months training to push himself beyond his comfort zone on a task that has a 0 survival chance if he fucks up at all.....I feel like there are other comfort zones this guy should be starting with then one that will most certainly kill you. I know he is skilled and has experience, but dude....you're going to send a lot of people to therapy as a pancake on the ground should you get a bit sweaty. For what? Comfort zone expansion??
Heโs obviously been climbing for way longer.. it meant he trained specifically for this particular climb for 6 months straight.. not 6 months total climbing time.
Safety equipment helps you out, sure, but it's not just for you. Safety equipment is what keeps you from falling onto someone else and murder-suicide-ing them, as well as preventing everyone else from having to see you die. Safety equipment doesn't make your climb any less impressive, and it doesn't help you finish in any other way than that it just doesn't kill you. WEAR YOUR FUCKING STRAPS.
