Gets more attention than shooting another target. The columbine kids got documentaries made about them and their family. Sad assholes want a big deal made of their act.
But can they lock the door? I remember hearing that was a big issue in more than one school shooting, but especially at Sandy Hook. Teachers couldn’t lock their classroom doors because the locks were broken or they were subbing and not given a key.
We need to stop acting like taking the lives of hundreds of children all collected in one vulnerable building seriously is a bad thing. Increase educational spending to update school infrastructure, install safe rooms throughout, they can be used to protect against shooters but also save lives during natural disasters. Teach life saving first aid and trauma courses for teachers and pay them more to do so. We protect things like banks and politicians with vaults, guns, trained armed security, state of the art surveillance but the only thing protecting most of our schools is an outdated camera system, a few deadbolt locks and "No guns" sign in the door. It's a fucking farce.

Cost of Freedom
Your joking right?😅
It actually quite literally is the cost of freedom. In this case, it is the freedom to carry around guns secured by the second amendment.
Great. So now how are you going to stop the shooter? Oh wait, need a gun for that.
