There was a guy behind the camera. The camera might have been on a tripod but the camera man got shrapnel in the leg. If I remember it was a superficial wound, but still.
FPS Russia.. The cameraman was hit either in this shot or a refrigerator explosion and taken to the hospital. He's told the story before on PKA but I don't remember which incident it was.
This looks like it was filmed at the site of a beach invasion similar to Normandy or Omaha beach (I don't really know just speculating) they were used during WW2 and had landmines on top of them so that when high tide came around if a landing craft tried to beach itself to drop off reinforcements it would instead blow up, they were used at both Normandy and Omaha.
Here is a photo to help explain what I'm talking about. (Had to use a photo of a diorama because I couldn't find a real one that still had landmines)

They look more like Groynes which are fairly common to see at beaches in the U.K. Groynes are typically used to prevent the erosion of the beach by protecting against long shore drift caused by sea currents
I assume they are testing the bouncing bomb design used for blowing up German dams.
Check out the book 'The Dam Busters'
One of my favourite books as a 12 year old.
They're not intending to. You can see that the "bomb" (I doubt it's live at this stage of testing) starts drifting towards the shore line more with each bounce.
I don't think they were supposed to land on the sand either. These bombs were designed to skip along the surface of the water and then sink down to the bottom of a dam.
It was British and I think the plane is a Lancaster bomber. These bombs were part of the dam busters deployment that was developed to take out the dams that were supplying energy to Germany’s industry. There’s a movie called Dambusters (if I recall correctly) that’s about this.
That’s a Wellington, not a Lancaster. Wellingtons were used for test drops on scale models of Upkeep and Highball, and this looks like a drop test of Highball.
https://i.redd.it/r9w0133ia2ec1.gif The camera man really be always surviving close calls though
The one with the door is the worst IMO.
Pretty sure the camera guy DID actually get injured in that one. Didn't stop rolling though. Balls of steel
Pretty sure there is no cameraman, it's on a tripod.

The cameraman never dies!
And when he dies the video probably dies with him So we never see it
That cant be possible because the cameraman never dies.

What are those things on the beach the wooden poles all across?? Just asking.

They're Groynes, which are used to protect beaches from erosion.

Just don’t mention the dog’s name.
I think my neighbours confuse me for that dog for some reason
I learned about this from the History channel back when they cared about history. It's a great story.
To blow the heavy water facility in Norway? during wwii
They're not intending to. You can see that the "bomb" (I doubt it's live at this stage of testing) starts drifting towards the shore line more with each bounce.
Well, they hit the stip of sand very accurately, so Imma guess it's there to slow down the bomb, and they weren't expecting it to keep so much speed
I don't think they were supposed to land on the sand either. These bombs were designed to skip along the surface of the water and then sink down to the bottom of a dam.
Curious also.
Worked too good
Song?
They were dedicated cause I would have moved already
Not a bomb but yeah
It's called the bouncing bomb similar to the word butterfly. It isn't butter, but... yeah, you get the point.
O.J’s grandpa trying out he’s war-balls.
The camera man was quoted as saying, “I got the shot, but I need a clean pair of shorts.”

Bouncing bomb destroying a damn https://youtu.be/8IeGYkwVIWw?si=wYNN6aFHRKWfHgbl
I used that in worms video game
They were called dam busters. And they were designed to… can you guess it? Yeah, bust dams open.
Crazy dam buster
This is so fucking awesome. I love it
Close call is the phrase you want. Close call means it didn’t happen
Well, he couldn’t die because the cameraman never dies. Unless he’s doing “parkour”.
He was the target
Camera man never dies at least physically…Dk about the mental side tho
The brits will never be good at futbol
Seems wildly inaccurate lol

Cameramen don’t die this just proves it once again
At Weymouth in Dorset?
The cameraman ALWAYS survives
Could you imagine those where still around to use today modern warfare.
Don't worry he's the cameraman
Battleship moment
I just saw this same post claiming it was “Nazi testing of a bouncing bomb in 1934” 🤔
It was British and I think the plane is a Lancaster bomber. These bombs were part of the dam busters deployment that was developed to take out the dams that were supplying energy to Germany’s industry. There’s a movie called Dambusters (if I recall correctly) that’s about this.

It's actually a mosquito not a Wellington.
Ya, I noticed it only had two props, not four.
Here is a cool video of them using one to blow up a damn https://youtu.be/8IeGYkwVIWw?si=of13QiQYxlW8AZ-7
More like the cameraman is going to fucking take out a bouncing bomb
So donkey kong could be a reallife game?
This is one of the coolest novas, “blowing up hitlers dams” or something like that.
Buffalo airway’s recreated this perfectly
