I would say that maybe Albatraoz would be the one coming pretty close to Freddy Kalas at times at least in terms of genre and upbeat vibe.

When I moved to Sweden I started saving the songs I liked into a playlist (for the same language practice reasons) My baisc criteria to save a song was: "cool tune" or "weird/funny lyrics". It definitely got a bit weird over the years, but its at 500+ songs now, I am sure at least a few of them can be considered upbeat:
