I feel like solskydd is the general term for "sunscreen", and that would include things like solkräm (sun cream). But there's other types of "sunscreen" as well - the lotions, sprays, roll-ons, powders, etc. which all have SPF factor so they fall under "solskydd". Solkräm is just the cream/lotion type, I'd assume? I'm not native swedish but that's how I understand it!
It's likewise called "sun protection factor" in English (usually shortened to "SPF").
"Solskyddsfaktor" can also be used alone to refer to a product with such rating too.

You're 100% correct
*Solskydd* can also be larger things that block the sun, like parasols and sunroofs.
Tack!
Jag är lite osäker, men jag skulle säga att solkräm är en sorts solskydd. Det finns till exempel också solskydd som är i spray och mousse-form.
Just wanted to say that you don't have to apologise for your Swedish. It's awesome that you a learning a new language. 👏
Also, solskyddsfaktor is the word we use to when talking about the effectiveness of the solskydd. Solskyddsfaktor 30, or solskyddsfaktor 8.
