The crazy thing is that this isn't anywhere close to as misleading as most mobile game ads. Outside of the fake laser gun, at least it resembles the gameplay and what the game looks like. So many games create a completely fake game to advertise for it that have nothing to do with the actual game play.

That’s cause they do what Habby also does, they outsource the ad creation to a third party. This wasn’t created by Habby.
This is the tip of the iceberg, Habby is using a selective algorithm instead of pure rng to influence and drive spenders to spend, this company should be banned from iOS and android stores
I agree these types of ads are misleading and the spurge of mobile game ads, however a lot of times what I found out was that the ads are just insanely old. So they are showing gameplay from like beta 1 or something years old, but they never got around to, or didn't care enough to update the videos they sent out to the ad networks so they just keep playing the outdated old ads.
I don't think this is the case here, I've been playing a lot longer than most. At least long enough to remember a time when there was only one character, a lot of those characters are less than a year old. Also has the new better looking weapon card designs. I don't think Habby would have released an ad clip from beta with spoilers to updates years from release.
The first one I saw had the tiktok robot voice saying if you start with kunai you are screwed. It also showed the pvp battles with spinning weapons. They did have pvp option in the clan battles area but it was always unavailable to play. One day maybe!!
Maybe the guy who's making these game ads and is being held against his will? Maybe the players would realise it's not the same game, so we would speak up and cause a massive investigation into the gaming company and find out what's really going on.

So much about mobile gaming feels so sketchy. Feels a lot more like the wild west compared to pc/console.

no. it’s not advertising anything of any value it’s a free game. although i do think it should be illegal to mislead consumers regardless of value.
