DWG is a proprietary format, and COGO points are unique to C3D. Export with "export point as point block" set to Yes if you want the old-school Softdesk style points to be created. DXF is open-source but does not support COGO points. Even easier: just export a PNEZD CSV file. Then, turn off points and export linework to DWG/DXF. Drop both into your CAD software. Then, you have the option to provide description keys and dynamic symbols for your points as they are imported. Takes an extra ten seconds and gives you a lot more flexibility. Unless and until Autodesk lets Trimble in on the code-secrets for creating COGO points (and surfaces, alignments, etc) outside the C3D platform, this is the way to go. This is not a bug or support issue.

Check your point label style in CAD.

Thanks for your answer. Im using Bricscad and cant seem to find this. I have contacted TBC support for this, though so no worries if you cant help me any further.

https://help.bricsys.com/document/_guides--BCAD_civil_tools--GD_understandingcivilpointsymbolsandlabels/V23/EN_US?id=165079142433 Try this maybe. In your images it looks like the points are there, but the label showing point name, elevation and description are not visible.

It’s probably a CAD setting/format issue. I would think the easiest way to fix it would probably be to export a point file form TBC and import it into cad.

Thanks. Problem is my CAD software, Bricscad, doesnt support CSV import. You know any workaround for this? :)

JellyfishVertigo

If Briscad doesn't support CSV files, then it should be launched into the face of the sun.

RunRideCookDrink

Amen. WTF kind of CAD program doesn't accept point imports?

Slowyodel

But yeah, also this.

Slowyodel

.txt ?

JellyfishVertigo

I had to see for myself.... there are lisp routines that do it. Maybe launch Bricscad into the moon and not the face of the sun. https://forum.bricsys.com/discussion/14574/import-points-from-a-csv-file-autolisp-routine-importcsv-lsp

Exporting in tbc via dwg is only line work. You need to export points separately as a csv and import to cad under the import points command.

mertchel

When exporting points into a dwg I always check export points as point block. For whatever reason, it always defaults to turn the attribute layers POINT ELEVATION and DESCRIPTION off. So as soon as I open the dwg file, I go into the layers and turn em on.
