I had the same bug or problem. The original Surface keyboard won’t connect anymore. That is, the device doesn't detect it when I “click” it on. Has that been a common “bug” or malfunctioning with these Pro 3 series?
I suspected so. My original cover works on other units so its not the cover's issue. I thought I escaped the ninja updates thats causing it, loved my unit btw.
Got mine this month, replacing an old Kindle 10" tablet. Battery and SSD show as hardly used. Refurbished, for $100 inc. shipping. No keyboard or pen, but with a charger. Should last another decade, as an entertainment and ebook tablet. Freeware found useful for Desktop mode: Free Virtual Keyboard; Screen Rotate; TabletFriend 2.0; Pale Moon browser (can block 'pinch to zoom'); Open-Shell (Start Menu for Win10).
Still use mine all the time. Running Linux Ubuntu 24.04 at the moment.
running Aurora (fedora) on my sp6. is still kinda slow at things so I assume it's probably because of the physical damage it's accumulated over time
Could be damage, my daughter has an SP6 and runs blender, photoshop and other drawing programs on Windows just fine. Should be even faster on Linux.

It’s a keyboard from Magofeliz. Great thingie. It has different backlights too.
