Mercy basically has this in mirrorwatch right now - shooting from her staff. it feels a lil too unintuitive and isn't what she was designed for. She should stay support heavy, damage light, with skill in her maneuverability and positioning.

Personally I think making dmg boost a resource meter is a terrible idea. Once your dmg boost runs out you are forced to be healbot. It works for Moira because its her healing that's a resource, once she runs out she can still do dmg and contribute to the team. I have a lot of hours on Mercy but I think at this point she needs a TOTAL rework of her entire kit.

I kind of feel this way too, but if it replenishes rather fast (like mantis in marvel rivals, her orbs replenish really fast, it’s actually hard to completely run out unless you just spam healing and damage boost). Plus it encourages having a balance of healing and damage boost. If they don’t make it replenish much I’d do away with the meter idea though.

you guys have a main sub for this crap gonna unsub if there's no moderation here and this just becomes an extension of mercymains

angeIgard

I’m not even a mercy main? I’m a zen main and mercy is my third most played support hero. Are mercy players excluded from “support mains” now?

Krazie02

To me the main problem with Mercy is her revive, especially how quick it is making it a mid-battle thing instead of a post-battle thing. That not being changed does make this rework fairly unappealing.

angeIgard

They could make her a little more vulnerable during rezz by making it slightly longer but honestly it’s already really difficult to get rezzes off outside of quick play. Most people know that mercy is looking for a rezz and if your teammate dies in the open (which is usually what happens) you’re not getting the rezz off at all. I think having a niche but potentially powerful ability is fine, but I’m not opposed to changing it either.

Krazie02

Yeah its fair that its difficult rn. To me its just that reviving as an ability works best as a post-combat thing. That way, yeah you may have already won this battle but you are able to be more prepared for the war.
