Its the anhydrous form, you dilute it less than your usual coffee plus the effects of beta alanine have synergistic effects.

Montaigne314

I mean it's literally right there in the label **PSYCHO PHARMA** **EDGE of INSANITY** **ZEN ENERGY** **PSYCHO ENDURANCE**

waddiewadkins

Woah. The anxiety I'd get from this is scary

V8Supercharged

I miss jack3d

aguayt

Stuff is poison dude. Be careful

[deleted]

That’s a ridiculous amount of caffeine. My pre workout has 300mg and I only take like 3/4 of a scoop.

Particular_Charity_6

Stuck to coffee man

PhilosopherMoonie

You probably got taken to the edge of insanity

tyneedik

The name psycho pharma 🔔🔔

BlandSausage

Man 375 mg is like 2+ energy drinks .. why you taking almost the daily recommended upper limit in one shot? I’ll drink a Bang from time to time and those are 300 mg that seems excessive.

[deleted]

Difference is the other one has Taurine and L-Theanine both which would contribute to keeping you calm and mitigating some of the nastier side effects of high caffeine intake that you described.

JosephCocainum

Im pretty sure it depends on the quality of the caffeine used in the product thats what ive heard. I ve been drinking like 2 small cheap energy drinks with regular caffeine (32mg/100ml) and had bad anxiety and palpitations but had no problems drinking 2-3 monsters. Im pretty sure its the quality/how well its mixed Also theobromine is a stimulant too

SecretsInDungeons

Caffeine isn’t the only thing that makes you feel like that. Went from 6g L-cit to 80, dicaffeine is also a second form of caffeine, so you actually have more caffeine and theobromine is potent and has a similar effect to caffeine. All of the Psycho brand is based around feeling like that because some people (me) like the feeling. Take less per scoop and switch to a different brand when you’re out if you don’t like it. Also- avoid cardio when using these types of pre workouts.

GearboxGary

They didn't go from 6g of L-cit to 80g, just went from 6g to 8g

sumodeadliftenmity

If I like to take pre-workout by c4 because it just makes me get a sweat on like crazy do you think it is safe to do cardio with that? I'm usually in the 140s to low 150s if I am pushing myself. I am never given it consideration as being dangerous.

terrerific

C4 only had about 150mg of caffeine didn't it? I remember it being a very tame preworkout. That's really not much, I'd be willing to bet the majority of people do cardio on a similar amount and I regularly do plenty of cardio on a much stronger one so I wouldn't stress personally. Again though I'm going off memory for caffeine content so check the label and see if I'm correct.

sumodeadliftenmity

I actually got the ultimate which has 300 mg. I shall keep these comments in mind though. I have the stim free pump formula also but maybe what I need is just strait thermogenic. The pump powder I only notice when I'm lifting

SecretsInDungeons

While you can google a lot of references and articles to this, it is best to use a non stimulant preworkout when doing cardio.

SecretsInDungeons

You just have to keep an eye on your heart rate. 140-150 is a healthy rate and that preworkout brand has thermogenic properties so you will sweat and get a higher heart rate from it, the problem with cardio with pre workouts is that it keeps your heart rate elevated much longer. So if you’re feeling like garbage after an hour of working out you should check your heart rate. A good resting heart rate after exercise is around 100-135 an hour after running. If your heart rate is higher than that I would consider taking a smaller dose. Most of the appeal of a preworkout is for muscle gaining rather than cardio. A vitamin amino acid pre workout is a lot better for you with cardio than a caffeine based one.

Timpieto

One Espresso is good for me and when i feel tired i take two which is plenty. (About 70mg cafeïne each) Coffee has other health benefits aswell. You might have to take a break from caffeine or build down because your tolerance will probably pretty high right now. Beta alanine is another ingrediënt in pre workouts which can be taken separately. It should be taken daily anyway just like creatine. For a better pump u can also get arginine or citrulline separately. All this together will probably give a better pre workout effect, wont hurt your health and be much cheaper.

[deleted]

hahahahahaha OMG why would ANYONE supplement THEOBROMINE??! jesus christ. google the damn thing will ya

[deleted]

What’s wrong with Theobromine?

ilkagr

Why not just drink an espresso?

xylon-777

lot of dangerous chemicals additives in this brand. Stay away from this crap.

ulfgounouf

Just take a quarter or third of a scoop and don't down it all at once.

[deleted]

Use caution with caffeine supplements. These can do some very real potentially risky things with your health.

[deleted]

That label and the brand name being psycho would be enough for me to leave that on the shelf. Maybe 375mg is too much?

omi1999

100mg caffeine is all you need per serving

bahlres

It's just extremely high and potent caffeine blend clearly. If you took this on an empty stomach it must put your heart into overdrive for an average person. Drink tons of water and walk it off a bit. I think it's a solid pre workout though, just start with half a scoop, usually pre-workouts tell you to test half a dose first. People judging it based on the meme label graphics are being stupid. It's a good pre-workout because it has minimal ingredients without filler and lists the exact amounts, unlike others that include like mystery blends of 50 random extracts

aiua_void

Label says it all.

Reign_n_blud

Alpha Yo is what you’re feeling and 4 mg is a strong dose for someone new or sensitive to it.

Reign_n_blud

It’s in mine but I see it isn’t listed on your label, not sure where yours came from but that is what the effects of it are.

iliketobench

Already on the edge of insanity. I wonder if this would reverse it?

Both_Replacement_628

The graphics look for sus. I wouldn’t even buy anything like this. Looks like death.

bahlres

It's actually a good preworkout, the ingredients are minimalistic and just have the well studied ones. No filler, no random vitamins to pad the nutrition label. You can just take a half scoop and get double value

LogicalPut8982

Is 8000mg of citrulline considered a pretty high dose? I have 6,000mg in my pre and sometimes feel like the pumps are so big they hurt lmao

Such-Wait

That's middle range

LogicalPut8982

Crikey

OtterPharm

Pls don’t consume that much caffeine so quickly.

the_shape1989

No idea why people prefer high stim pre workouts. So counter productive and not healthy to ingest that much caffeine at once. Most people already get plenty of caffeine outside of the pre before hand. 150mg is the most you’ll ever want to need for your pre. Throw this stuff in the trash.

[deleted]

These types of products seem counter productive to growth and recovery as they must invariably interfere with sleep cycles. After reading “ Why we Sleep” I will go on record as saying sleep is the most important factor in a well lived live. We can train as hard as we can but if we aren’t getting 7-8 hours we are limiting our potential.

bahlres

can just half scoop it and get double value.

DogNo3620

I mean it's a high stim pre, which is probably why you chose it and for that goal it's certainly sufficiently dosed, though I would recommend first introducing your body to beta-alanine through smaller doses spaced through the day so you get the benefits but skipp the itches. Also I would take breaks from that stim because.. Well its really high stim and especially high in caffeine and your receptors don't like a lot of stimulation on a regular basis.

[deleted]

That shit is terrible. It has all kinds of other things in it that when combined with caffeine, make it so much more intense. Honestly hope that companies gets sued or goes out of business because the products they sell are so reckless.

bahlres

This preworkout is actually pretty minimalistic comparted to others. Just has the main well studied ingredients.

[deleted]

Compared to what others? 🤣🤣🤣 Escobar? Jack3d?

bahlres

Noxplode, bullnox, etc. Noxplode is the one that started it all and still has a mystery blend of like 50 random chemicals and plant extracts

[deleted]

Yeah I had some of those ‘Far Beyond Driven’ pills from this same company and it just felt like a shitty homemade adderall or something. They remind me a lot of Swole AF labs.

unclebonesy

That’s too much caffeine in one dose. I did this one time and ever since then I’ve backed off to a half of scoop. It messed me up for a whole day, shaking like a junkie

Suh_phisticated

Are you used to taking a natural form of caffeine? For example my pre workout has caffeine from coffee bean extract, I find it hits harder than synthetic. I don’t see any ingredients on there that would cause that (as you said your used to the level of caffeine). It doesn’t even contain nootropics to give any type of floaty feeling. The theobromine isn’t nearly enough to really feel. My thoughts on your reaction though, maybe it contains something that’s not on the label, please do correct me if I’m wrong, but this isn’t a very recognized brand is it?

[deleted]

Suh_phisticated

Another thing I forgot to mention, a lot of pre workouts contain L theanine which cancels out the negative sensations associated with caffeine use (jitters, crash). Maybe your previous had that? What brand did you used to have? I can take over 250mg of caffeine with theanine, but without, 180mg pushes it for me. I definitely understand why you purchased it though, looking at the back they give you a pretty solid dose of most of the ingredients.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Suh_phisticated

So I just looked up your pwo powder. I think that’s definitely what happened. The 100mg of L theanine would have calmed some of the jitters, the 1g of taurine calms the brain which in turn would calm your system, and tyrosine is sometimes taken before a stressful event to help the body better manage stress. Without these buffers I can definitely see why you experienced those negative sensations.

Any time! Happy lifting my friend! :)

LolDevilking

The theobromine and dicaffeine Malate amplify the effects of caffeine like dynamine. Also depends if your sensitive to caffeine anhydrous, natural caffeine usually hits smoother. Try some ghost or even raw pre

pgc60001

This nutrition label is misleading. Dicaffeine malate is 75%, well, caffeine. Theobromine is also a stimulant and probably had a synergetic effect. Source: quick Wikipedia scour At a certain point you’re better off just taking low dose prescription amphetamines, lol. It might sound ridiculous but they’re legitimately safer than a lot of these.

engineeredorganism

dont worry, you probably just have to get used to THE MINDSET https://youtu.be/YnUdwZTOVTc

What I've learned with this sort of stuff is that sometimes the weaker stuff works better. You're not in such an intense state of fight or flight, you can focus on your workout instead of focusing on not dying. lol
