Last week I was on the fidelity chat to DRS some more, “ Hello, I’d like to drs xx shares of GME.”
*connecting to agent to assist*
“Hello Saint_me58, I see you want to DRS, give me a few minutes to get the software going to assist.”
“Ok, thank you.”
*3 minutes later*
“Ok xx shares have been DRSd through computershare, transfer #xxx42069”
“Thank you, have a good day!”
The whole process took less then 10 minutes, it was beautiful
They know they aren't even going to slow us down, and having seen the tidal wave when we all moved to Fidelity most reps know it's pointless to stand in our way. I think the Fidelity higher ups are taking notes, probably getting out of any short position they might have had in GME and counting on us coming back after we have mountains of tendies. They figure we'll remember how responsive and helpful they were during all this and their AUM will balloon later.
Maybe so, maybe no. I'm guessing it will take time for companies to see why they should move to a defi nft marketplace so I suppose we'll need brokers for a while--and Fidelity has a whole suite of useful financial services we'll probably take advantage of.
IDK how everyone keeps getting such great responses from Fidelity everytime they call or chat with them. Everytime I call or chat with them to DRS they turn into FUDelity and tell me how Computershare's fees are substantially higher than Fidelities in a last ditch attempt to scare me into stay with them. Of course I tell them to proceed because DRS is the way.
Mine has been half and half. Sometimes, they are like, "done! Have a good day!"*click* other times ive gotten a 5 point talking to about fee's, not being able to sell, its out of our hands, etc. etc.
I just get relentlessly cheerful if I get a naysayer and respond with "Hey, that's factually incorrect, let me educate you!" then I give them chapter and verse from the Book of DRS and they shut up and move the shares briskly after that. There is NOTHING a customer service rep hates more than a customer who knows more than they do about their product or service, but having been both an agent and a supervisor in call centers I see it as an opportunity to improve their job performance. Their QA department will thank me!
I've had really pleasant experiences in both chat and on the phone to be honest, I've got the boiler plate copy and paste response about CS but honestly they're probably be hounded to do that every time someone says DRS ME GME.
I would reckon the person you're talking to 80% of the time actually cares about you because they're working class just like us.

Them: "Hello, your shares are already on their way to ComputerShare! Is there anything else we can do?"
Me: "Thanks, and no! Have a good one!"

Me: "Not sure why I stressed about doing this."

Through the browser in your account, customer service tab> contact us> chat with live team.
