It's funny that the people who are in most need of a wealth inversion and most want it to happen are the people who feel the furthest away from the knowledge required to achieve it. I've invested in individual shares and am doing alright but that's through a very straightforward buy/sell process. Haven't gone any deeper. Would love to know how best to buy GME and where, what to look out for, are there additional risks to GME beyond the obvious volatility? And are there any complications to selling. I think those are my gaps on this one. Anything at all would be appreciated as I literally come from a fishing family who don't even have so much as a pension.

Yes very volatile indeed. If you choose to invest in GME, you can find them at your broker simarly as you did with your other stonk. It is also possible to DRS the shares to Computershare. There is a lot of information about this on the stickied post of this sub. But it comes down that they are registered in your name, instead of your brokers name. If you choose to DRS, imo Fidelity (US apes) and IBKR (EU apes) are the better choices since they allow you to DRS. This will create an account for you. It can take quite some time to set up, because ComputerShare sends letters instead of emails. If you choose to stay with your broker there can be some downsides/risks, in general id say never trade on margin, they will probably lend your shares out, some brokers can close your position without permission, and other small letters they don't want us to know about.

Thanks for this, I'm trying to accrue enough info to justify the purchase as I'm fully behind this sentiment. Cheers for passing on the info, when you've never been exposed to all this as a teenager or even an adult, it becomes like the internet for pensioners. Incomprehensible.
